This behaviour is deep down in their culture. They have this superiority mentality which makes them feel that they are the best in everything. You would see the real quality of an English player when he leaves the EPL to play for another top league. Only a few of them have been able to prove themselves. But the truth is that, if you have proper check on this Scenario surrounding the English National Team, I think it’s a hype from the media, they’ve a very unique media which always try’s to hype their players and makes them feel like a huge player, every English player that is playing well is always hyped by their media.

Every good player, is always noticed by their raw talent you will always see that raw talent there, so I don’t really think that it’s about them leaving there comfortable environment, any player that is good is already good, the only thing is see that is wrong is the way they hype their players which is very bad that it makes their players expensive in the transfer market.

I don't have an ideas about current player of England national team recently announce by Thomas Tuchel leaving many top and great players, many top players who playing quite well during the qualifier match have miss the World Cup 2026 such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Maguire, Cole Palmer, Luke Shaw and Phil Foden. I can't believing several players get calling for World Cup 2026 get less minutes playing with their club from John Stone, Noni Madueke and Ivan Toney as the players from not really most competitive league.
I can't expect more with England performing well during the World Cup 2026 after leaving many top players and I think reach the knock out round is most great achievement but not sure yet will reach until final round or become the winner.

These are really annoying in every tournament the English media puts such unrealistic expectation on the team. Every session such a pattern of resentment is repeated again and again. Will everything turn out well if we keep chanting the name of Golden Generation? These actually create unnecessary pressure on the players. In the end the results are not good at all. If I look at it from a slightly different angle. I also enjoy singing this song and I have seen the madness also comes out in the fans. But yes at the end of the day this alone is becoming a curse. In fact when the team suffers a hard blow after making such a big success, its really hurt deeply. You know, in today's football such mental pressure thing is very common.

Everything below lifting the World Cup trophy is considered an underachievement in the mind of an English fan. And as you said, they always overhype their teams, even when they are not that great. I can already see this happening once again. In the first truly serious match, they will crumble and lose, just as they have many times before.

Do they have the squad value to win it? For me, yes. But this is not even close to the best England squad they’ve had — and that team also achieved nothing.

Because of this, the players are very popular. And they are very quick to overhype the players. But it also has an advantage. We see english players being bought by clubs at very high prices. In England, the income generated is so high that it's normal for players to be paid high salaries. They have some of the world's best players. Of course, some countries like Spain, Italy, and Germany also have the best players in the world, but the overall quality of the league in England is much higher than in other countries, and it's the most followed football league in England. Therefore, the salaries paid to players are high, and I actually consider this normal.

France definitely has a great squad, but I do have high hopes for the Spain squad as well. They have been unbeaten for a very long time and have proven that they are a great team for a while now, so I have some hopes for them to do a very good job. I am not saying that they are going to win the whole thing easily, if they do it will be very difficult because they will face some great teams but they do have the squad to be able to beat all of them and they have been playing great recently.

This is why I have hope for them, not because I have some blind admiration but because of the historical results. Go check their last 30 games and you can also see how they have been doing and see why I think they may win this one.

France have very good youth academy system in their nation and in the last twenty years, they have had many good players and maintained it in years and in many World Cup and Euro tournaments. It's not easy for a national team maintaining ability of going far in many World Cup and Euro tournaments like France. In this World Cup 2026, France continue to have a very deep and strong squad, with Mbappe who just makes a record of being a best domestic goalscorer in 8 consecutive seasons, 6 seasons in Ligue 1 and 2 latest seasons in La Liga.

It's his an unbelievable personal record and likely will be very hard for any player breaking this record in the future. Mbappe will continue to be a leader for France to go far and win World Cup 2026 title.

If we were still living in 2002 then yes, it would have been a wonderful final! Unfortunately this is 2026 and I don't recall seeing the Brazilian team this bad. These are by far the worst players I've ever seen. The simple fact that their star players are Vinicius, which is not worth 1/10 of Ronaldinho, and Neymar, who is 34 years old, constantly injured, and doesn't play with the national team since October 2023, says it all. So, if I had to choose, please, no Brazil in the final, I'd like to see some good players.

For me, I think it is a marketing strategy because the hype and the performance of these players in reality do not correspond, and it makes me wonder if my rating of the performance of these players is different from others.

I think this overhyping of these players is even causing them not to put in a good effort to improve their performance because I expect the media to be accurate about the performance of these players, as it has a lot of good to do for them.

There is never certainty of which team will win the World Cup based solely on squad depth, we saw the same thing with Real Madrid having all the big names, yet they've lost La Liga twice consecutively to Barcelona.

What squad depth does is put a team right among the other competitors, and England is a country that will make the tournament tough and interesting.

They're yet to leave for the FIFA World Cup Competition but these racists post are being made here and there to target players with black colour. If there's a blame to be made, it should be the manager who picked these players and not him directly.

Nothing wrong if you enjoy singing the song, it's probably part of a nation's culture to manage this kind of situations in a different way: I am Italian and not even back in 2002 or 2006 (when the national team was insanely good) I would have even thought about chanting something like that just because it kind of brings bad luck at the end. It's uncommon to hear an Italian being sure about his national team winning something, even when we clearly have a great team (surely this is not the case now).

Italy is a special case; we used to see it as a very strong national team, but now it has become a team of average to below-average quality, due to the lack of investment by clubs in Italian players.
