There is no doubt that portugal's squad is strong. They have young talented players in their squad who play for top clubs in europe. And they  also have experienced players like Ronaldo and Bruno. Who can change the whole scenario of the match at any time.

But portugal is not very strong as a team. Their performance  is quite irregular. The understanding between the players is  not good. If this team can play well as a team then they have a great chance of winning this world cup. We have not seen Portugal's  performance that is better than that in the world cup qualifiers either. With the way ticket prices are, it's mostly regards to USA and not because of how much it costs. The last two world cups did not have ticket prices this high, and I understand you may say that it's more regards to inflation than about increased prices, but I would also say that ticket scalpers in the USA is a bigger problem, and the fact is that by selling higher to begin with, FIFA attempted to stop scalpers to lower their profit margins, that shows that it's mostly regards to USA and not anyone else.

Like next world cup I think it will go back to being normal ticket prices, not cheap of course, not saying it will be 10 bucks a seat lol, but it will not be as high as this one. Hell even Saudi world cup will be cheaper than this because Saudis will need to attract people, if they made it as expensive as USA one, then nobody would go to Saudi Arabia for world cup, so they will have to make it cheap.

Portugal are a strong national team and recent years, there are some young players developed their career very well to world class level like Nuno Mendes, Joao Neves and Vitinha. These players will be core of Portugal national team not only in this World Cup but in later tournaments in coming years. Bernado Silva, Bruno Fernandees, Joao Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo will be leaders in World Cup 2026 for the team with their experience. The possibility of success for Portugal in World Cup 2026 will depend on how good combination among young and old players in this tournament.

Until now when you posted this, I haven't thought about any Real Madrid players who play the WC, but I would have never guessed that there is none. Germany's squad is always strong. Germany's squad was strong in the last two world cups. They have a pretty strong squad in this world cup too. But how the team  will perform is still unknown to us. Anyway, this is one of the favorites  of this world cup, Germany. They have been  able to continue their winning streak in several previous matches of the world cup. They have been able to win against Slovakia, Switzerland and ghana in the last  three matches. I am sure that germany will qualify for the next round from the top of the group E table.

This is similar to Brazil, France, England and Spain which are always favored in every World Cup. Besides having high quality players they are also on the list of teams that have won the World Cup. Brazil has won the World Cup five times, Germany four times, Argentina three times, France twice, England and Spain once.

Furthermore Germany is in a relatively easy group. In Group E they will face Ecuador, Curaçao and Ivory Coast. Judging by the quality of the players and the team's mentality, there's no reason for Germany not to advance to the round of 16. In fact, I predict they will finish first in Group E.

To me, when looking at the extended squad of England, only maybe Foden and Palmer pop up as the ones that were not called up. But then, you see what the options are in attacking midfield, and everything starts to become clear: they have selected Eze, Rogers, and Bellingham. For me, they are all valid picks. Eze was a significant player in the Arsenal squad, and Rogers played well all season and started almost all games. The third pick, Bellingham, is the one that is most critical because he didn't play much or particularly well for Real Madrid, but honestly, he was better than Foden, who didn't even play, and Palmer, who was not on the same level this year. I'm not going to high my expectations because I know for a fact that Germany players will always represent their country with their full chest and they're patriotic citizens of the country. Let's just watch them do what they do best.
