They definitely have a team that is potent: a good defense, superb midfield, and a good enough attack. Ronaldo is always a threat, even in his 40s. They always have good odds, yet they don't manage to deliver. For Ronaldo's sake, I surely hope that this time will be different. Portugal has a very good midfield with star players from ball possession, match intensity control to attacking creativeness, so a scorer like Cristiano Ronaldo will be benefited with that world class midfield support. All midfielders in Portugal like Bruno, Vitinha, Neves can make key passes and Ronaldo can turn them to goals for himself and assists for these midfielders. is ronaldo not getting support from his teammates? portugal is a fantastic team that has some of the world’s best players in most positions. i almost completely disagree with you, because in recent years the portuguese national team has had to shape itself around ronaldo. even psg, the current champions league champion, has four players on the portuguese national team, and yet you’re saying ronaldo isn’t getting support from his teammates. if ronaldo can’t make portugal world cup champions, he should look for the fault in himself rather than his teammates. he might still be in shape, but he’s not the kind of player who can lead his team to win the world cup. if he hadn’t been so insistent on not sitting on the bench, maybe portugal would be in a better position.

Ronaldo known as CR7 is so talented that he has retained his youth even at the age of 41 and if he gets the full backup of his teammates while playing for his country, he will definitely succeed. The team is confident of winning the World Cup trophy and I also think that the Portugal team is complete at the moment. If CR7 is physically fit and fit to play in every match, then the team can take itself to a good position. Thanks for coming up with such stats, they are new to me. If CR7 has such stats in FIFA world cup then it won't be appropriate to expect too much from him in upcoming world cup. CR7 has so far scored 973 goals and is very close to scoring 1000 goals in his career. Alone a player can't win a world cup unless the whole team play extraordinary game. Portugal no doubt has talented players that can take there side to victory and their fans will be looking to see their team finishing as top team of the tournament.

I remembered when Ronaldo said the world cup is just a 7 game tournament, so I don't see him doing anything tangible if he still carries that mentality. He said our of pain because Messi won the world cup, so  I don't know why his fans are praying for him to win it. A lot of players are dying to play at the greatest tournament of all time. He doesn't have a good stats in the world cup compared to other competitions he has played in. He has never scored a knockout goal before, and now he is 41 year old. Every country dream of winning the World Cup. Fans always want their favorite team to win. But C.Ronaldo's case is a little different. C.Ronaldo can be called very unlucky. He has no shortage of achievements in his life, but he has not yet been able to win the World Cup. Usually, a player can participate in 5 World Cups while maintaining their fitness. But C.Ronaldo has maintained his fitness so well even at the age of 41 that he will be a great example for other players.

France can actually make it to three consecutive world cup finals and I don't see any thing stopping them from winning it although there are other countries like Spain, Portugal, Argentina, England just to mention a few that can give them serious problem.
For me I think France can win it but I don't see them winning it, the world cup is not their birth right.
Although this is going to be a very entertaining world cup and it won't get easy to for the winners.
