Portugal does have a solid team with super good players that cannot be ignored or over looked because they are in good forms and have obviously stood out in their various teams in their club side which shows how well and of great impact they can be to the national team. so i believe they will do so well at the world cup.

I consider the current Portuguese squad to be a golden generation because it’s packed with many great players who play for top clubs. Well, with such a perfect squad on paper, Portugal might seem to have everything it needs to win the World Cup trophy. But of course, winning the World Cup isn’t easy, even with a great squad. Still, it’ll be interesting to see if, with a squad this strong, Portugal can make it to the World Cup semifinals or finals. I think a lot of people have high expectations for Portugal at the World Cup.

Portugal beat Nigeria yesterday in the friendlies. Concluding that Ronaldo will not make any significant contribution is unfair. Maybe your judgment is based on his age or the quality of the league he is playing in. We cannot write off the fact that Ronaldo has experience and has been in top form in the Saudi Professional League. The League might not be as highly rated as others in Europe, but it's not that bad.

Yeah, he might not contribute like he did in his prime years but his presence in the team will serve as a motivation to young players and his influence could also be an advantage. Such players could easily influence influnece referees' decisions.

In my opinion, Ronaldo is not in bad form, but i think his true value and contribution at this World Cup will not be his exceptional goal scoring ability. Instead, it will be his leadership qualities, because a player of his caliber has tremendous experience, which i believe he will share with the other players. And if Ronaldo can also score goals on top of that, it will only be an added bonus for the Portugal national team.

I believe that anyone who talks like this about Ronaldo doesn't really know who he is, this is definitely an opinion that leaves no room for anything, but once again the return will happen on the pitch as always he will prove to be the best, and he could even win the cup given that he has a very strong team playing with him.

I don't want to be too optimistic about your prediction that there are still so many countries that are much stronger than Portugal, even though I favor Portugal, but if that happens, it's impossible with so many strong teams, I know Portugal has almost equal players in every line so it's not surprising if you can immediately assume like that and it's a very natural thing for Portugal's strength in the World Cup this season.

Mexico, one of the hosts will play South Africa today and it's already obvious who the favorites are but I will not be surprised if the South Africans will put up a fight and try to show their hosts that they have got what it takes to stay in the tournament. In the 2010 WC, South Africa being the hosts also welcomed Mexico and the scoreline ended 1-1, so who's to say that South Africa won't give Mexico a tough time and as well avoid much goals. If I'd be taking any option, it will be for South Africa to get 4 shots on target cause those guys can be very tricky and wily that you'd think they don't know what they are doing till they reach your goal post.

I think it's not even relevant anymore to mention the result during WC 2010 because it's totally different than this time. Mexico is clearly favorite here. They have proper team, and i remember they could hold Belgium with draw. No doubt they being placed at 14th in FIFA men ranking.

Especially Cristiano Ronaldo has a huge fan base worldwide, so his team Portugal has a lot of supporters. I personally am a fan of Ronaldo and I hope for the best for him. But the category in which the Portugal team is currently located may not be at the level of reaching the semi-finals.
