Portugal are suffering a major setback in this World Cup competition and it's really frustrating on the Portugal point-one Ronaldo but it's just disrespectful to openly call him useless in the Portugal team in this World Cup. His presence is somewhat of an impact to the team, only that they haven't really put their heads together as a team to give perfect game play just as the Argentina team is doing with Messi flying high because of his team robust coordination on the pitch.

While Messi is the greatest player of all time, and there are no players for me that has ever bene better than Messi, I still feel like this record is very tiny compared to what I believe Messi could have done. This dude scored 91 goals in a single year, so the fact that he scored only 17 goals in six world cups is very little and I would have expected more.

By comparison, he has already reached 5 goals and we are in game 2 right now, I am estimating they are going to play AT LEAST two more games, and possibly 5-6 more games. So in a world where he scores 5+ goals every tournament, he should have been nearing 30 goals by now. Not because that's normal, nobody reached above e16 before, and yet my expectations for Messi is 30, that's how insanely good he is .

Honestly, I'm not confident enough to pick a winner yet. Every World Cup looks predictable before it starts, and then something unexpected happens. Argentina, Brazil, France and Spain all look strong, but injuries, form and a bit of luck can change everything.

For the hardcore football fans, it is always great to see good football and incredible individual performances. We have seen Messi scoring some incredible goals and scored a total of 5 goals in just 2 matches, Messi missed a penalty yesterday, if not he would have scored another hat-trick.

I will be happy for Messi, if he is able to take to the final and win another cup.

To be honest benching Ronaldo feels like an insult as a ledgend that he is.
But he could start and he should not play full-time if they really want to win this match. It will be very disappointing if they loose this match and are not Able to pass this phase.

Even if Messi were to score another 200 goals at the World Cup, i will always continue to prefer Cristiano Ronaldo who, in my opinion, is the most complete athlete of all. I saw a great goal from Ronaldo very quickly against Uzbekistan. This was his first goal in the current World Cup. Uzbekistan's defense is very weak, although according to their formation, the defense and midfield are supposed to be strong, but their performance is not very good. Portugal is easily breaking through Uzbekistan's defense and entering the D-box. In just 17 minutes, Portugal is already leading by a 2-0 goal difference. Messi has been playing with good vibes since the beginning of the world cup tournament. His playing pattern has been quite amazing scoring an hatrick was increases his chances of becoming one of the highest goal scorer since the start of this competition.

The Messi and Ronaldo debate will continue forever; we'll never know or decide which one is better. Ronaldo possesses perfect discipline, incredible athleticism and fitness despite his age. Messi, on the other hand, has always been the most talented in the world, a true magician.

Even 20 years from now, the debate about who is better will continue. The only thing I know is that Messi broke another record at this year's World Cup; let's see how far he can take his team on the road to the championship
