Portugal simply did what they had to do. They needed a big win to boost team morale and show the world that they would still be relevant in this World Cup. They scored 5 goals as if it was payback when they struggled to score against Congo and this is what I expected from Portugal.
Cristiano was a little late but the brace he got in this game has put him in the hunt for the current top scorer although he is still 3 goals behind Messi who is still on top of the top scorer so far but the game is still long enough so Cristiano's chance is still very big to catch up.

This was the exact performance I expected from them in their last match against Congo. My guess is that they underrated their opponents and thought it was just going to be a walk in the park.
However in this game against Uzbeskistan, they first learnt that they should not underestimate them. The second  lesson they learned is that so much is at stake and if they don’t win this, they are soon going to be on their way home which would be a big disappointment for many of the fans. I wonder what pleases you people. If it's a draw or loss, you would say something, and now that they won incredibly well, opponent's weakness is the talking point. If you must know, DR Congo wasn't a strong team as well, and are narrowly better than Uzbekistan, that's if they really are, but the only difference is that one prioritised their defense than the other. The country that will break the 5-man defence of DR Congo against Portugal would do a very exceptional job, so it's not something to ridicule Portugal about.

I am really surprised to see the great comeback that Portugal is showing now, they keep scoring goals, I am especially happy to see Ronaldo's comeback, after a bad performance in the first match, he has come back great in this match, he scored the first goal in the 6th minute, after that Nuno scored a goal in the 17th minute, Ronaldo scored another goal in the 39th minute, Ronaldo scored 2 goals in this match, now Portugal's score is 5 and Uzbekistan's 0, the match is almost over, but overall Portugal has come back great with a really surprising performance, this match was really great.

I would say it's not only just you that who surprised the performance of Portugal they show in this match. Even I was also expected a match something like the previous one which was draw I thought that Portugal will going to be play again on that flow because I personally think that the understanding among the players in the Portugal team is low and as a result they want to create personal achievements more than team achievements and because of this they cannot perform well. Even Portugal's goals could have been two to three more where the players wanted to create their personal scores but they missed the goal.
