It was a good but difficult match for Croatia. Unlike you, I didn't stay up to watch the start of the game, I went to sleep much earlier. But I expected Croatia to win more convincingly, so I placed a pre-match single bet on a Croatian victory and went to bed.

I think I understood correctly from your statement that you expected more from the Croatians? Because I certainly expected more. I understand that we can't call Panama a very weak team, but if the Croatians are thinking about not being eliminated in the first knockout stage, they should show a better performance. Unless, of course, they're saving their energy for later, like England and Spain
I don't know if it's the weaker teams showing such strong character, or if it's the favorites playing so poorly.

Croatia did not perform very well in this match. Panama should not be considered too weak. All the teams in the World Cup are strong. But we expected a little more from a team like Croatia. I don't see this as a surprise anymore because I have seen the biggest surprise so far in this group stage. Cabo Verde that doesn't have any professional player was able to hold down Spain for 90 minutes without a goal. Ghana vs England match is better because Ghana can play and has the world cup experience than Cabo Verde. Ghana went to play a defensive game and it worked out for them.
