My guy told me that, that is the reason why football is extra ordinary everyday. That I shouldn't be surprised if Germany losses because both teams have equal number of 11 players. I was surprised how everything turned out to be.

I actually did not understand this logic, the reason Germany might lose is because both teams have 11 players.  . If they said that, since Germany already qualified and it is like a dead rubber and they might have been relaxed, while Ecuador needed this win to confirm their spot and hence they will be trying their best to win the match and if that had been the explanation, it would have been fine.

I avoided betting on the match. Because Germany had already qualified. So the match was not important for them. I thought Germany would rest key players. But they didn't do that. They played cautiously it is true, but important players were in the starting XI.

Their chances of qualifying are still there hoping that the other clubs in third place fail to perform well and can become the best 3rd place so Ecuador currently still has a chance with their 4 points as well as with a productivity that is still 0 at the moment because they conceded 2 goals and entered 2 goals.

For today's match with 3 points they managed to get it was enough for them to be able to extend their hopes and not go home first although their chances are still uncertain but I think they can still have a chance to qualify as one of the best 3rd place teams.

Current standings, Ecuador is the top third position team who have 4 points indeed zero goal regarding top third other standings team Paraguay have 4 points but minus 2 goals, Ecuador have the same points and difference goals with Sweden exactly have bigger chance qualifying to round of 32 spot as the eight top third standings position teams.

However, Ecuador must waiting for the other group matches result to know their possibility will qualify to next round or not, in my opinion based 4 points collected they have bigger chance qualifying to round of 32. For awhile, the third team standings have 3 points I don't sure yet have chance will get spot as the eight third top standings team and difficult for qualifying to next round such as South Korea and Scotland.

What does Ecuador have? Why do you say 'a team like Ecuador'? If Ecuador had played all their matches the way they did against Germany, they would have finished first in their group. They’re a team with a lot of individual talent; come on!  they have players in the Premier League, and so on. Anyway, that’s what makes the World Cup so special: having these kinds of opponents and unexpected results. It’s not a six-month season; it’s about adapting to each match. Either way, they have the quality. Perhaps the real surprise is that Ivory Coast finished second.

After these, Paraguay will also have a spot because they have 4 points.

From the remaining 6 groups, 4 teams are already into the next round, while a few needed to be given their best for having spots. It will be more difficult for Iraq to secure a place in the knockout stages, as this would mean beating Senegal by at least 3-0. For Senegal, on the other hand, even a 1-0 or 2-0 win would be enough to put their minds at ease.

Thats typical story for someone who is already win the group stage. Germany was qualified for the next round bevor the game, and then they even scored a goal just two minutes in the game. After that, their play got worse and worse, and their passion was gone. What else would another win change? Exactly the same thing. As a fan, of course, you see it differently, as a player, you try not to get injured or pick up a yellow card so you can play in all the remaining matches. No matter what happened, Germany is on first place in the group.

Turkey got three points as their goodbye to World Cup 2026 and this win comes too late. They won this match but again shown that they didn't have strong defense, and Guler scored goal for Turkey while Yildiz had another disappointed match. This duo attacking players are future of Turkey but they are still young and have a lot of things to improve. In coming years, in next Euro and World Cup, I believe that Guler and Yildiz will lead Turkish national team to better results.

Mexico is the only Host nation that won all of their three starting games in the World Cup group stage for this World Cup.

It's first World Cup with three co-host nations have their national teams go to a knock out phase, the first time ever in World Cup history. The first time ever for Canada as their national team don't have good tradition and this is a truly big accomplishment for them.
With a draw against Sweden, Japan will play against Brazil in the next round, which will be very big challenge for them. It's a big test for Japanese national team like whether they are ready to go far in World Cup and make their new record. They are actually a strong competitor for Brazil and Neymar will have to perform very well to beat Japan and aim at the World Cup trophy.
