Yesterday's games have really changed the table of the 3rd position standing. With few games remaining, the 3rd placed teams who will qualify to the next round can be seen in the table below:

There are still matches to be played. The fate of SK(South Korea), and Algeria is still to be determined by the remaining matches left. Below are a list of matches remaining:



I believe most of the top 4 in the table with 4 points have already secured their position for the next round. All hope is not yet lost for the 9th position and below; they can still qualify if they win with a reasonable amount of goals.

German fans must be happy there team has qualified for the next round finally. In world cup 2022 and 2018, the German team was eliminated in first stage. Germany vs Ecuador game was entertaining as both teams scored goals in first 10 minutes and Plata scoring the winning goal for Ecuador in 77th minute. Iraq vs Senegal, these two teams have never won, I see Senegal will win the match and it's not like they will be in the top 3.

Germany didn't play with full seriousness, their current points was enough to advance them to the knockout stage whether they lose to Ecuador or not. They already scored six points in their last two matches which is why they didn't play aggressively against Ecuador. If Ecuado was an obstacle,germany would have been more serious to take them out of the way but they already had six points which was enough to advance them from the group perhaps there's was no need for them to be aggressive. Ecuador didn't play well it would have been easy for Germany to equalized the game if they were serious so ecuador was just fortunate that Germany wasn't too serious to win.

turkey secured a meaningless victory against usa in order to advance from the group stage. losing this match didn’t affect usa either, as it was certain they would advance from the group in first place. the other match in group d, paraguay vs. australia, ended in a draw, as most people had expected. a draw was the better option for both teams because their points were sufficient to advance from the group, and the third-place team could still qualify for the knockout stage as one of the best third-place finishers. the odds seemed very unlikely that either side would win, and neither did.

The match between Germany and Ecuador was an unexpected match, I thought that Germany would win the match easily, because they scored the first goal in just 2 minutes, seeing such a great start, I thought without thinking that Germany would definitely win the match today, because they were much better in terms of strength, but the final result of the match was Ecuador 2 goals and Germany 1 goal. However, it's not that Ecuador played badly, after Germany scored in the 2nd minute, Ecuador also didn't delay in scoring, they also scored 1 goal in the 9th minute and equalized, and after that the game continued but no goals were scored. Germany attacked a good times, they couldn't be effective, in terms of possession, in terms of attack, Germany was ahead, but Ecuador scored another goal in the 77th minute and after that Germany couldn't equalize. And the match ended with Ecuador winning 2-1.

strange because they say that South Korea is one of the strongest Asian national teams together with Japan, but in the end there are always some huge surprises in this World Cup, in any case everyone expected Mexico and South Korea but that's not the case, this always changes things as always.
South Korea are indeed one of the strongest Asian national teams but everybody can fail a match. Football is not an exact science, South Korea are a better team than South Africa, but this kind of surprises happen all the time. Probably if they were to play this game other 9 times South Korea would win all the time; South Africa won once, when it really mattered.
I was extremely surprised by this result because South Africa played quite poorly in the two previous matches.

South Korea is a better team than South Africa, i agree with this and yet they won, this makes me think that football has changed greatly in recent years, not seeing Italy at these World Cups says a lot about the change in the entire football movement and this is proof of it.

Ecuador woke up too late, yes it's possible that this victory only happened because Germany had already secured their place in the knockout stage. We can actually look at this game in two ways which is that Ivory Coast statistically since the beginning of the tournament have been better than Ecuador and so there game was played under different conditions by Germany because Germany needed that game to qualify so the intensity was definitely different. But we could also look at it from the angle that Germany are not that great any way because they started the same team that started against Ivory Coast with the only two players missing were Rudiger for injured Shlotterbeck and Raum for Brown, using this ideology of a better club they should have been winning.

The Ecuador winning goal came after Germany made all their substitutions, i think this affected their game but shouldn’t be an excuse. For me I agree with two things, one is that Germany would have played better and with more intensity if they needed the game to qualify. Secondly Germany still hasn’t impressed that much to say they are favourites

Germany is a strong team, as we all know, and no doubt they were able to win all the matches they played. Since they already qualified, they did not show much enthusiasm for their last match, and that is also a wise choice because the possibility of avoiding injury or emergency was kind of averted, as they had already won their previous matches and had qualified. So what is the point of putting so much pressure to win the match? Even upon the draw, Germany is still on 7 points ahead of most of the teams playing for the World Cup.

I also read that South Korea is one of the strongest together with Japan, but i think that at this point it will leave the scene as an extra, this format of the World Cup is certainly much more frenetic but it gives the possibility for smaller teams to become part of the elimination phases of the tournament.
