Portugal perform poorly in their match against Colombia yesterday and this isn't good for a team that wants to win the world cup if not that the ref cancel the last goal that Colombia score Portugal would have lost that match but they played a goal less draw. They came out second while Colombia came out first and this will make meet teams that ended first in their group so with this I will say it will be difficult for Portugal to make it far but we can't still predict as any thing can still happened, though one win and two draw isn't much bad.

Drawing twice in three group stage matches is a poor result for Portugal, especially considering that their opponents were not among the strongest teams. Colombia played much better, and I think they fully deserved to finish first in the group. Portugal will now face Croatia, and to be honest, I can't say that I see Portugal as the favorites in this match. I can definitely see Croatia can beat them.

I say we'll see Morocco in at least quarter finals once again.    I know Netherlands is a really tough opponent. But remember what Morocco did in the previous World Cup...

They eliminated Spain in quarter finals and Portugal in semi finals! Currently they are playing really good again. I see them like my dark horse.

I noticed Argentina path seemed smooth from the start of the group stage all the way to the semi-finals. Because their opponents weren't particularly dangerous, unlike the group on the left, where each match was much more difficult. Portugal major challenge in this world cup is the manager in my opinion. The team itself has enough capacities and capable of winning games but Martinez has no game plan at all. I don't know if he can't read games or he's deliberately ignoring the flaws and never want to learn anything. Imagine playing three games and failed to learn anything from each match to deploy a working tactic. You have players who can run at top speed but you let them rest on the bench for nothing. Why not changing the formation and tactics? Portugal has great attacking players that can play more aggressively and move forward quickly instead of regular moving around and passing between defenders. I really wish them good luck but if things continue this way, they're just one step away from elimination.

Iran did not win their last match, wasted some opportunities for scoring a winning goal, and with only 3 points, they have very small chance to go next. The match between Austria and Algeria is very dramatic but the result could be predicted as Algeria did not want to play with Spain in a next round. I can easily understand why Algerian players let Austria scoring the 3 - 3 equalizing goal because it's helpful for Algeria to avoid Spain and play with an easier team in a next round.

Iran did not play too bad in World Cup 2026 but they lacked of moments which can help them win matches. In general this World Cup looks bad for Asia with only two teams, Japan and Australia going next, while Africa has very good results with 9 / 10 teams going next.

Pretty much crazy scenes happened in the last matches. I was sure Iran was gonna qualify for the knockout rounds but they came one spot short and they really played well,i think they just didnt have luck in the end to reach the knockout rounds. Algeria and Austria match was a crazy one in the end,first 25 mins match was dead as expected then we see 6 goals. Both teams needed a draw that happened in the end but never would have expected to see 3-3. Still both teams qualified and Iran got knocked out

You're right,the manager is the problem Neto has not dribble any player in his two games I believe Martinez should have dropped him in this Columbia, the coach has no tactics in this world cup, he only wants individual brilliant.

Portugal was very lucky in that game, thanks to the keeper Costa and the defenders, the midfielders were no where to be found,it's really disappointing to watch a team that before the world cup was favorite to win has not shown any special plans and play in this world cup so far. If they don't improve they might be out in the round of 32.

Yes Argentina actually actually comes with zeal of lifting this season FIFA world cup again, ever since thier matches at the groups stage they never lose or draws with any of thier opponents in their group, and that shows that those countries like Jordan, Australia and Algeria are seems as a soft handle to the Argentina in this season FIFA world cup tournament. Though their match played against Jordan was quite okay to some extent, but many if thier fans or Messi fans were expected to see the hat trick he did before to happen again in that match against Jordan, but he was only opportune to score their last goal. Well we still have alots of matches ahead to play with tougher countries which I know they will definitely need to be more stronger than before in order to meet up.
