The match between the Colombian and Portuguese national teams was incredibly intense. And every minute was nerve-wracking because there were so many attacks from both teams. I personally felt that the first half was much more intense than the second with so many scoring opportunities created. The second half was actually just as intense given that Colombia worked very hard to launch attacks that threatened Portugal. Colombia even managed to score a goal that was disallowed. And that goal became controversial because many Colombian fans were unhappy with the offside call on the play. But the goal was actually rightly disallowed after being reviewed using video replay technology.

Drawing twice in three group stage matches is a poor result for Portugal, especially considering that their opponents were not among the strongest teams. Colombia played much better, and I think they fully deserved to finish first in the group. Portugal will now face Croatia, and to be honest, I can't say that I see Portugal as the favorites in this match. I can definitely see Croatia can beat them.

I’m actually quite disappointed with Portugal’s performance as well. But I can understand why Colombia played so well, they clearly put more pressure on Portugal’s defensive area. after all, we must remember that even during World Cup qualifying, Colombia managed to hold Argentina to a draw, despite Argentina being in excellent form at the time.

Although they lost to Argentina in the Copa América final the year before, last year they managed to hold Argentina to a draw in World Cup qualifying. So it wasn’t surprising at all to see Portugal struggle against Colombia. But that’s not the problem. The problem is that Portugal itself played with a strategy that I don’t think was good enough. Their attacking patterns were easy to read, and I think that if they don’t make changes, they could face difficulties again when they face Croatia. Brazil has been matched up against Japan. Brazil is, of course, the favorite in this match, but I think Japan is also a strong team—at the very least, a team with the potential to give Brazil a run for its money. I was disappointed that Brazil met Japan too early in the last 32. Either way, these two national teams are more deserving of advancing to the last 16 but with a battle that is inevitable then I hope Brazil can qualify, a difficult choice when I also have high hopes for Japan.

I missed watching the match between Austria and Algeria live as I was watching the Argentina match. After that I watched the highlights and it looked like a much more interesting encounter between these two teams. Austria scored the first goal in the 28th minute, but Algeria was able to equalize within the first half. In the 54th minute of the second half Austria scored another goal to extend their lead, but within 5 minutes Algeria was able to score to equalize once again.

In the 93rd minute Algeria scored another goal and I was expecting it to be the winning goal. Surprisingly Austria, who were facing elimination, equalized in the final minutes of the match.

What do you think about the upcoming Argentina vs Jordan match? Although Argentina is already at the top of the points table. Even after that, if they can easily win tomorrow's match, they will  winning all 3 matches in the group stage . Gamblers don't need to bet on Jordan only with risk. Jordan showed plenty of courage against one of the strongest teams in the tournament. Jordan tried to stay with their discipline and determination. while Argentina slowed that why they come among the tournament favorites teams. Their passing accuracy was sharp, their dominance created constant problems for opponent, and they looked comfortable after two early goals before the end of first half. But Jordan defended with their full strength and never stopped fighting back. Even they made the first goal which encourage them more to gave extra focus on the match. I noticed Argentina path seemed smooth from the start of the group stage all the way to the semi-finals. Because their opponents weren't particularly dangerous, unlike the group on the left, where each match was much more difficult. Despite the controversy, we also have to admit that Colombia and Portugal have almost equal strength, making the match between these two teams very intense, so a draw is a very fair result for both. 

However, overall in this year's World Cup, I am really surprised by Portugal's performance. Previously, since the qualifying rounds, their performance was very impressive, and many people even favored them to win the title this year. But after three matches played in this World Cup, I haven't seen the true strength of Portugal, as if they are playing under a lot of pressure in every match.

After qualifying with five points I can say Portugal have achieved something very important which qualifying for the next round despite having some glitches in the group stage against DR Congo and the Columbian side, the Croatian team also had some problems trying to qualify but I dont think Croatia is a better team than the Portuguese, their knockout fixture would be a very crucial one because it means one of these teams would be eliminated and I hope it's not Portugal.

In my opinion, South Africa looked like the clear underdogs in their group from the very beginning, especially after their match against Mexico, but they still managed to reach the knockout stage. Portugal perform poorly in their match against Colombia yesterday and this isn't good for a team that wants to win the world cup if not that the ref cancel the last goal that Colombia score Portugal would have lost that match but they played a goal less draw. They came out second while Colombia came out first and this will make meet teams that ended first in their group so with this I will say it will be difficult for Portugal to make it far but we can't still predict as any thing can still happened, though one win and two draw isn't much bad.

The most important is that Portugal qualified i know we all expected them to qualify in that group and they did, this shows that Portugal still has the opportunity of going far in the tournament. Croatia Portugal will be tough match for both sides a team that didn't perform well today doesn't mean they can't do better next time football is full of surprises I was even thinking there were going to meet a more stronger team Portugal has a chance of qualifying to the next stage so as Croatia too.

We watched Neymar for a short time period. I don't expect him to do great things in the World Cup though.

It means everything for some players to see theirnidoo on the pitch and they will give everything to perform effectively and become the best version of themselves. Congrats to Croatia on winning the game against Ghana and securing second place in their group. I was expecting a boring game in which both teams would be happy with a 0:0 draw, so I was surprised to see one of the best performances from the Croats. Now all focus is on Portugal, and if they play their cards right, they can maybe shock them and go through.

Japan is clearly a tough opponent for Brazil. I predict this match will be highly intense and may even go to a penalty shootout. In previous World Cups, Japan has defeated Germany and Spain, so Brazil certainly needs to be wary of Japan’s strength. In my opinion, this is one of the best matches to watch in the Round of 32.

Yes Japan is a tough opponent for Brazil but they aren't that tough that Brazil can't handle when they face each other in the round of 32. The match will be intense I agree, but with the team spirit of Brazil right now they will win Japan and the match won't end in a penalty shootout.

I watched the Colombia vs. Portugal match last night, and it was an enjoyable game. One of the standout players was Sánchez.
Colombia created more scoring opportunities, but neither team could find the back of the net, and the match ended 0–0.
Colombia finished top of the group, while Portugal advanced in second place.

Meanwhile, DR Congo came from 1–0 down at halftime to win 3–1, securing their place in the knockout stage as one of the best third-placed teams.

I must to admit that I was supporting Portugal in this game, but considering the determination with Colombia played I was beginning to accept that they deserved to win this match, especially because Portugal has significantly slowed down in the second half, despite ultimately winning.

About disallowed goal of offside, I think the technology has finally advanced at the point where we no longer have major issues with this decisions. There was a time when VAR was heavily criticized for incorrect decisions that favored some teams over others, reviews that were carried out manually while others were not initiated, or the big amount of time spent to check incidents. Nowadays, this problems have largely disappeared.

However, there are still many other controversial situations involving uncalled fouls, cards that should have been shown but were not, and others. This is a controversy that will never completely disappear as long as decisions depend of a human referee managing 22 players on the field. I believe that if AI were put in charge, many of these problems could be solved, but then we might lose part of what makes the game so exciting.

Argentina has every reason to start their star player, Messi, even if he would not play the complete match because of the score count and Golden Boot...lol Joke

Aside from the fact that Jordan isn't a strong football country, Argentina is a very strong football country, and the recent world cups have further solidify this. They are very consistent as you can see in this world cup, so even without Messi after sealing their initial games, I believe nothing can be damaging without him.

I've also predicted them as part of the countries that could win this world cup. My picks were Spain, France and Argentina, but now, it's narrowing to France and Argentina.
