Brazil won the match, but Japan scored the first goal and even though Brazil had most of the ball possession, they struggled to break through Japan's defense. Throughout the first half, Vinícius Júnior and Matheus Cunha were not given any open space by the Japanese defense, and for a moment I really expected Japan to win the match.

In the second half, Brazil substituted Lucas Paquetá for Endrick and changed the attacking position. Soon after Casemiro scored the equaliser, Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki was also incredible during this period, making several crucial saves to deny Brazil. However, minutes before the final whistle, Gabriel Martinelli scored the winning goal to seal the victory for Brazil.
The match between Germany and Paraguay is going to penalties, and Germany have missed their first penalty while Paraguay scored.

As soon as Japan scored, something just told me it wasn't over. Brazil is one of those teams that no matter how bad they play, they always find a way back. It's like they have that winning DNA. Japan played well, but Brazil's experience and mentality just showed in the end. When it comes to big tournaments, some teams just know how to grind out results and Brazil proved that again. Don Carlo is still doing his thing with the boys.

Well, I am not pretty obvious with his Carlos Angelotto performance because if we look at their previous results then probably you all will clearly see it the Brazil have good results against ordinary team but when it comes to some competitive team they lose their confidence and trailing with a intense pressure. I mean if we look at Morocco match then probably it was also too hard and even if we look at today match against Japan then we can also seem the same thing.....

So Carlos Angelotti need to made little improvement in their tempo against big team otherwise it will be hard for them to play at big stage against big team team. However let's see what happens next in Round of 16.

I thought this was the end of the World Cup for me today. I supported Brazil, and I was kinda disappointed to see them concede the first goal and struggle to score. I must admit that Japan has played really well, and they successfully created a lot of pressure on the entire Brazilian team. It is good that Brazil came back strongly, scored two goals, and took the lead to win the match without needing a penalty shootout.

Credit goes to that Notebook guy, the Japanese coach, who prepared this team. They played really well. It was unlucky for them that they couldn't keep it till the end of the match. Congrats to team Brazil, they are likely to meet Belgium in the round of 16.

I wasn't expecting such a tight and exciting match as this one between brazil and Japan. You could see that Japan has improved its football a lot over the years.

In the first half, they (Japan) applied a lot of pressure on brazil witch played very poorly and made many mistakes in passing. Japan's goal, for example, could have been avoided, it only happened because of a slip-up by a Brazilian player.

Brazil won, but it was a very difficult win. I wasn't that excited for this match, Ii worried me that Ancelotti didn't bring Neymar on, even in the second half... what's going on? Brazil almost lost even without Neymar. I think it's not the time to keep resting Neymar since we're in the qualifiers.

I'm not very optimistic about brazil's next games, because I have the impression that other teams like France, Argentina, and Spain are playing more tactically and superior football.

Curiously, Brazil was one of the first to qualify for the round of 16, so far, only Canada and Brazil are in the round of 16 in their bracket.

Paraguay took the match to such a point that they somehow managed to get it to penalties and won on penalties. I'm very curious to see what the journalists in Germany will write tomorrow. I'm happy that the underdog team won. Maybe it's the final stages, but for them, they've achieved a great victory I can imagine the big celebrations they're having and how happy they'll be after the match. Germany's goal in extra time was disallowed. Brazil won this match before the final whistle, Brazil was lucky enough to win this match. Japan put in all their efforts but still could not hold on to their victory, Japan's defense was the strongest but Brazil's attack created a fierce competition in this match. But at the last moment, Brazil scored a goal in the extra minute and secured the victory. The fans of Brazil in the gallery were screaming, Brazil was able to go to the next round.
If Brazil's performance continues in the next match, there is a possibility of being eliminated from there because they will have to compete with stronger opposing teams gradually.

And in the end, Japan had to admit defeat in this round, being eliminated first by Brazil with a score of 2-1. It was quite an exciting match between the two. Favorites like Brazil and betting on them certainly made for an extraordinary victory. Although Japan took the lead early, unfortunately, they couldn't maintain their victory.

Now, Germany and Brazil start extra time because both are tied until the second half. It seems like they have to finish this match with a penalty. If the extra time doesn't change the score, Germany looks weaker than most people expected.

It was an interesting match, Japan took the early lead during the first half. Everything was going well for Japan and at a point I thought Japan would win the match with 1-0. I guess I was wrong brazil weren't prepared to be eliminated in the knockout. Brazil is strong for equalizing the score. I was almost convinced that they would be defeated by Japan but casemiro and Martinelli goals change my perspective.

Germany doesn't look weak to me,they played better than Paraguay but it's so unfortunate their lost to Paraguay by penalty shootout. Paraguay won through penalty shootout and I would called that luck. If it by performance, Germany play better and deserved the victory than Paraguay.

Brazil almost got knocked out  earlier on, but they had to bring out the best to eliminate Japan..

Paraguay got an early goal and it has to take Germany to dig deep to equalize, their after the south Americans did some solid work with defending and the rest is history!

Germany should have fixed the game in the legal time. Now they are playing extra times with all the risk to go through penalties and potentially being eliminated.

If Germany couldn't score in the game, I am not sure they can win with penalties.

And as expected, Germany was eliminated again from the World Cup very early!
I was feeling this coming. Germany missed their chance during the playtime and with penalties you cannot guarantee anything.
Congratulations to Paraguay defeating Germany and progressing to the round of 16. They will most likely face France there and it will be the end of their journey. I doubt Sweden can do it like Paraguay honestly.
As for referees decisions, I am hearing a lot of complaints against them especially favouring a team in each match. There is nothing to do unfortunately with FIFA controlling everything. There is no independent body to supervise what's going there.

Germany has been out form from the World cup 2026. I don't know what happens to them like they lost against those team who never move to any big stage of World cup. To be honest this really embarrassing moment for Germany like they were a favorite candidate for World cup but unfortunately they didn't make it happen. However match end up on penalty shots. Germany got twice attempt for wining teh penalty shots but unfortunately Woltemade and Jonathan Tah missed it. It a heart break for Germany....

Now next moving on we have some more great match in few hours like Netherlands will play against Morocco which is one of the most exciting match of the day as well as France will play against Sweden. So let's see what happens next.

Honestly this is so sad for me because Germany was my favorite in this competition but the way they played today was not like the Germany that won 7-1 in their opening game in this World Cup. When Germany equalized the game I was so confident that they would pressure Paraguay but the defense of Paraguay was still the same way as the second half, nothing changed like they were still absorbing the pressure, Germany on the other hand was too soft in the second half, knowing fully well that if they don't get a goal it might hurt them , that aggressiveness was nowhere to be found and my question was, why start the final piece of the Germany game plan (Undav)? He was suppose to always come on as a sub but tonight Nagelsmann made a mistake by bringing him as a starter. I still can't believe what just happened.

Germany lost this match mainly because of their bad luck, Paraguay were quite lucky. I bet on Germany in this match, I lost, maybe my research was wrong or I lost because of my luck. Germany lost this match on penalties, and although the players of Germany team worked hard, they could not make their hard work worthwhile in this match.

Brazil Japan game was indeed an interesting one especially at the die minutes of the game, from what I observed in the game i will say it was a lucky day for Brazil because if not for luck the game won't have ended in favour of Brazil. Although Brazil dominated and possessed them beyond reasonable doubts but they had all the focus and tactical technique that enable them make there vision for goals come to reality but only lost it all when they thought it was over. Although I won't blame Japan for the lost because they do not have what it takes to withstand Brazil's pressure in the game. But I will say they did a good job in the game and if they could continue in such spirit they will do better in this tournament.

Japan fought with extraordinary skill, despite having to withstand a formidable onslaught from the Brazilian players. However, Japan's strong defensive spirit was clearly evident in the match. However, because Japan lost, the national team had to go home early, having now lost in the knockout stage and therefore cannot participate in the next round of this tournament. And congratulations to Brazil for advancing to the next round, and they can fight again in their next match.

Unexpectedly, Germany had to go home earlier than expected, initially I expected Germany to meet France in the last 16. But my guess is wrong, it's really unfortunate when the big team goes home early.
Even though according to match statistics, Germany is superior in ball possession, shots and others. but still couldn't beat Paraguay.

What I don't think is that Germany gave the last penalty executor to Tah, I am always not sure when a defender becomes a penalty executor, especially when it is decisive. I often see a defender who fails in the execution of a penalty.

Brazil beat Japan in a match where I seriously thought Brazil was going to lose, since this Japan team is really good and won some very important matches against strong teams... I was also happy that Paraguay managed to advance by knocking out the powerful Germany... great to see the strength of South American football in this World Cup.

I can not believe Casimiro scored the goal to tie and give the match another look after his first half that was disastrous. I just wanted to see him go in the interval and I was made at Ancelotti when he was back for second half

Many people also said bad things about Martinelli and he scored the goal to win the game

Matches involving Netherlands are always physical. These Dutch guys don't know how to win matches fairly and they always engage in physical fights. Remember the last world cup? Frenkie de Jong of Netherlands hit Cheikhou Kouyaté of the Senegal in his testicles and the latter had to be removed to hospital on a stretcher. I can give you dozens of such instances involving the Dutch team. Perhaps the most famous match would be the "Battle of Nuremberg", during the 2006 FIFA World Cup. In that match, Dutch players were trying to break the leg of Cristiano Ronaldo during the entire duration of the match. In the end, Khalid Boulahrouz managed to kick Ronaldo so hard, that he got severely injured and had to be carried off.

I would just say that anyone who loves the sport of football should pray that the Dutch team gets defeated.
