Norway continues to surprise us day after day; I’m delighted for them – they’ve thoroughly deserved their place at the World Cup and have now reached the round of 16.
Italy should follow this team’s example and try to improve.

Lol I see you might be pissed with the Italian team performance but you need to know that there are a time in football where you can't call the top three nations without actually calling the Italian giants, I mean they had so many blessed players and so much talent but now the Italian team is just filled with average players and this shows that Italian football has possibly dropped a lot and maybe they should focus on training more young players in their league to get such crazy names like before in the Italian team.

Sadly, Ivory Coast will have to go back home. It was a closely contested game that each side could have won. The African side put up an exceptional performance based on the match statistics.

Congratulations to Norway for qualifying for the next round. But they have a hard task to face when they meet Brazil on Sunday. Carlo Ancelotti's side have not been fantastic, but we cannot doubt that they have a team that can upset any country.

I think Ivory coast has more chance of qualifying to the round of 16 they had more scoring opportunity than Norway, important goal from Haaland as he took his country to the round of 16. There is no second thought in the game France vs Sweden it's win match for France because they had more quality players to win the game but the goals different wouldn't be much.

Yes, Haaland was Norway's match-winner today and he really gets the respect he deserves.
I almost thought that Norway would lose if they had to go to penalties, but Haaland came to the rescue with his easy goal. Haaland has scored 5 goals so far as the World Cup starts, then he still has a chance to record another history if he manages to score in the round of 16.

About the France and Sweden match, it feels very unfair to underestimate Sweden. I have made the wrong statement in the previous 2 matches where the Netherlands and Germany were the 2 teams that would qualify for the round of 16, but in fact they had to accept defeat by surprise. France could have lost if Sweden had played well, but I agree that France is one of the favorites at this 2026 World Cup.

Not a too impressive performance from the Ivory Coast today,I was expecting a very good performance from them but I was disappointed by the way that they played. They played well but lack the finishing touch going into the opposition Conner. The ivory Coast attack was not sharp enough to break down the opposition defense, they created alot of chances but was not able to convert them. Even when they equalized I expected that they will maintain that score line and take it to a penalty shoot out.


Norway deserves to go through, because they were more purposeful and played like a team that knows what was at stake in the game. Congratulations to Norway as they progress to the next round waiting for, any team that will progress to the next stage. Ivory Coast looked more disorganized to in this game.

I think France and Mexico will advance to the next round. I believe these teams are better than their opponents. I especially think France will easily win against Sweden. We haven't seen very high scores in these matches so far, but the France game could be a first. Therefore, anyone who wants to watch an enjoyable match shouldn't miss it.

Well that’s exactly what makes football tournaments so thrilling and exciting, you just never know what to expect on tge next game. France should ordinarily be the favorite on paper, but the knockout of Germany and Netherlands is just a full proof that no team is above knockout. I don’t really know about Mexico and Ecuador, but from what I’m seeing, the home support might just be the only thing that’ll make the difference, but one thing is for sure, it’s gonna be a very tight game, all we can just do rn is sit back and enjoy the fun.

Ivory Coast may have been eliminated from the tournament, but they certainly played very well. Norway struggled to beat them. Norway advanced thanks to the difference in quality players. Haaland is a fantastic player and always makes a great contribution to his team.

We used to have a national team full of true champions in every position, and that lasted for many decades; now we’re a national team with absolutely no identity! Players who are strong individually but who, as a whole, have contributed very little to the national team.
How is it possible not to have qualified for the World Cup for 12 years? And yet, in the past, we’ve had even weaker national teams that still managed to reach football’s premier competition.

I'm glad Norway advanced. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Haaland will play against the Brazilian defense which hasn't looked very confident at this tournament. Norway's defense also isn't the most reliable so I expect an interesting match with lots of goals. I think Norway have a pretty good chance of getting past the current Brazil team which looks pretty mediocre. according to the statistics, Brazil haven't beaten Norway in head-to-head matches yet.

Germany's exit was a complete surprise, but the elimination of the Netherlands didn't shock me, as they lost to Morocco—a team that plays very good football and reached the semifinals at the last World Cup in Qatar. Both eliminated teams had highly dramatic penalty shootouts; in fact, the penalties in both matches were probably more intense than the games themselves.
As for the France vs Sweden and Mexico vs Ecuador matchups, maybe we will see another surprise here in the form of a draw between France and Sweden.

I still can't wrap my head around how the Netherlands, with a squad like that, could possibly lose to Morocco. To be honest, the Netherlands has been one of my favorite teams for a long time, and I was hoping they'd advance to the next round, but watching their performance yesterday was truly embarrassing. How could they have played such a defensive-minded game throughout the match? Their possession was only 30%, That's just ridiculous. I still can't accept how terrible their performance was. Even if they were going to lose, they should have played a more open and aggressive game. But playing defensively like that and ending up with a loss, that's just the kind of play you'd expect from a team of idiots... Ronald Koeman should resign as the Netherlands' coach, because their performance has been so embarrassing.

Netherlands played for to win but eventually they lost through the penalties shoot out and when it has gotten to this then everyones chances of winning will reduce and morroco took advantage of the situation and the fact that Netherlands lost is just a very unhappy situation but they did all they could but once it gets to playing penalties then I don't even bother my self predicting anything because anyone once can win at that point and Netherlands were just focused on trying to play a defensive game and not every time that it favors you so it will be better to play a more open game because when you are all chocked up at home you will even find it very hard to score so it will be better to play both at the same time because that is one of the challenges that a lot of teams when it comes penalties it is both teams that have chances.

I would be truly surprised if the match between France and Sweden ended in a draw. That would be considered a surprise result, because France is a very good team with a magnificent squad. Sweden, on the other hand, is an average team that is happy to have advanced to the next round. There are huge differences in quality between the two teams. I think France will easily win this match. If it's a draw, I would be really surprised.

Yeah man I hear you, it's so surprising even for me that's not even an Italian national because I know what I have seen and watched anytime you hear that name ITALY. they had so many wonderful players from the defense with players like maldini, canavaro then midfielders like pirlo and when you come to the attacking fronts that's where they had it all, from the likes of Totti, Del piero, Baggio and my favorite inzaghi

Norway were lucky to get a late winner in this underdogs world cup, the underdogs has held strongly so far in this world cup knockout stages and big names like Germany has gone home.
I think resting that amount of players by the Norwegian coach yielded no fruit because I did not see any impact that decision made in todays game, regardless congratulations to Norway I believe this is a record feet for them to reach the round of 16 of the FIFA world cup.

For me I think the whole problem is with that Portugal squad because there are so many things that seems to be wrong with the way they play together, there is no hunger and zeal like before, they were much better when they played in the nations league competition and they have struggled since the start of this world cup, I really don't know if it's because of the center of attraction that is focus on Christaino Ronaldo that has made this Portuguese team like this because everything they do seems to cause attention.

That's why I insist that if the team doesn't play for CR7, then they'll lose. Haven't you noticed that CR7 is pushing up a bit more now? Like a false 9? And you see that he's touching the ball more now? Why is he doing that? Because he draws a lot of defenders and leaves his forwards free. If he plays as a striker, he'll have two or three players marking him, and even though he's good at making runs, it's more work. It's better for him to do the work from midfield further forward; it suits him better.

CR7 isn't actually showing his full potential. He played well in one match and scored two goals, but in the other two matches he wasn't very effective. The players are marking him well. We're not seeing the old, high-quality Cristiano Ronaldo anymore. Of course, this is quite normal because he's now 41 years old. I saw the wonderful free kick by Amad Diallo that could have found its way into Norway's net but Norway goalkeeper was fully prepared for that free kick and he made a wonderful save to deny Amad Diallo and Ivory Coast a chance to buy more time and  fight for a place in the round of 16. Had Amad Diallo kicked the ball a little bit hard, I believe he would have equalize for Ivory Coast. Ivory coast played beyond my imagination in this World Cup, after Morocco, they are the second African team that has really played very well, it would have been good if they had proceed to the next round in order for Africa to have two strong teams remaining in the World Cup. Norway didn't win Ivory Coast because of difference in quality players because Ivory Coast was better than Norway in this match, Norway was just lucky to win Ivory Coast.
