So far we have 5 teams in round of 16. It wasn't really easy for Norway today. Morocco already impressed in the last World Cup so I was giving them a serious chance against Netherlands too.

But Paraguay is a big surprise here. Germany are really that bad now. The next team to qualify would be France under normal conditions. France are wasting unbelievable opportunities currently.

With France and Mexico joining yesterday and early this morning, they are now 7 teams who are in the next stage of the competition. Currently England is facing DR Congo and at the same time DR Congo is leading after finding the back of the net in the 7th minute. An early goal for them and things are currently looking good for them in terms of goal but will all be out defending as pressure is being mounted on them for an equaliser. It's still early for conclusions but as we have seen in this world cup, the underdogs are doing incredibly well. I will just keep my fingers crossed and wait to see what happens in the coming minutes.

Mamamiya...Congo has taken the lead in the early minutes of the game and the scores is 0-1. It was a magnificent strike from Cipenga on the 7th minutes of the game after a beautiful assist from Mbemba. This goal will put the English men under pressure as they wouldn't play with relax mind in order for them to get an equalizer. It's a beautiful start for the Congolese.

England were not informed about DR Congo and it looks like we are going to see another shocking result today. DR Congo continues their adventure in the world cup and their name will not be forgotten in a hurry even if they don't advance further but their impact in this world cup has raised eyebrows and I wonder how this team got this bravery to play big teams and give them headache. England is not better than Portugal who struggled a goalless draw against DR Congo so it is possible that the highest England can get in this match is a draw because i don't see them winning DR Congo. England must be very careful now because if they concede a second goal they will never get an equaliser not to talk of a comeback.

I think the performance of the three host teams was already good. They really prepared themselves not just as hosts, but their teams are actually capable of competing. Mexico secured a spot in the round of 16, and their next opponent is the winner of the England vs Congo match. Mexico might have a chance for the quarterfinals.

Canada is the least amongst these countries that I expected would make the round of 16 in this World Cup and this should be the first time in their football history. It was a really remarkable performance with a late minute winner against South Africa as they advanced to the R16, impressive right?

Mexico also qualified for the Round of 16 after defeating Ecuador with a 2-0 clean sheet. USA vs Bosnia should be a clean win for the host country and they are expected to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The United States might be able to win the match, but I don't think it would be a big win. Bosnia also drew 1-1 with host Canada in the first group stage match. Bosnia isn't a strong team, but they probably won't give the United States an easy win. Even so, I don't expect any surprises from Bosnia making it to the round of 16.

I agree, England played very poorly until this moment. They are lucky there is the half-time break so they can try to reorganize the team. They has a couple of good chances to score but I don't see a real team on the pitch, Congo players look way more organized. It's going to be an interesting second half.

It is common to see teams like DR Congo showing so much respect to top clubs like England. But this is not the case in this match. Instead of focusing on only defending, the African side is coming out to play the game. I am surprised that an attacking side like England has created so few chances in this game.

The first half has ended, and Thomas Tuchel will have to come up with his plans to curtail the strength and discipline of this African side. This World Cup is showing that European sides are slowly losing their influence on global football.

Mpasi has done everything within his possible best to deny England from finding the back of the net. Mpasi is one man blocking machine. England needs to sit up in the second half because the first half is over and Cipenga goal makes the difference in the front line. I hope this game wouldn't be a big shock again.

Wow guys, DR Congo scored a goal and could this be the start of a possible nightmare for a team like England? I don't know, but I see that Congo is playing more with heart than technique, and that could complicate things a lot for the Premier League professionals, who are mostly in this World Cup. This World Cup is really good, with surprises I didn't think would happen.

Congo lead 1-0 at the end of the first half. Another unexpected result are we going to see? Two hot favorites like Germany and Netherlands have already been eliminated from the tournament. England will now walk the same road?
England players are trying hard to score. But they are not able to break Congo's defense in any way. Congo's performance has surprised us all. The team is playing great. Honestly I didn't expect them to play so well. I thought that I will see the dominance of England.

It would be two if Wissa's attempt ain't hitting the post. I admit England is starting to gear up, and they creates some attempts, but Lionel Mpasi is their biggest obstacle. Mpasi is so damn good as a goalie. He does everything to ensure his club is not conceding. It seems the name of Lionel is boosting Mpasi's performance.

So i think 2nd half will be more interesting because England will do everything to ensure they equalize the score.

England's attack needs to be adjusted on both sides. Rashford and Madueke were too wasteful in the first 45 minutes, giving Congo the chance to launch a quick counterattack.
Saka and Gordon are available for Tuchel, and in the second half, I think Tuchel should replace Rashford and Madueke with the two players I mentioned above.
Jude is England's most intense player. However, the Congolese goalkeeper did a great job in keeping the Congolese goal at bay.

To be honest DR Congo are performing very well, England have tried to attack very good but DR Congo are very good on the counter attack, and they are playing very well in defence also. Some of England's very great attacks have been saved by DR Congo's goalkeeper very well, so it must be admitted that DR Congo are performing very well with very good counter attack. But England are definitely not going to lose so easily, they can come back soon, and I am waiting for that come back, let's see what they can do in the second half.

England was lucky that Wissa missed that one on one goal opportunity that hit the woodwork if not, Congo would have murdered the game in the first half and seal up their victory because they're good at defending couple with their goalkeeper Mpasi.

If England did not find a good strategy to find the back of the net, it might be an end of the road for them because Congo wouldn't play defensively, they will also come out to attack in order to double their lead and seal up their victory. It's gon be a shock to the world if Congo wins this match.

This proves that in every game, not only the strong teams will perform well, sometimes the weak teams can also defeat the strong teams. We have understood this well in the previous match in Germany. However, in today's match, Congo scored against England within the first seven minutes of the first half and England has not yet paid for that goal until the end of the first half. However, I think England has enough ability to score against Congo, let's see which team wins in the end.

Was this not suppose to be a penalty, if England say they were robbed in this match I will not argue with them but I was thinking this would be a penalty because there was a contact from the goalkeeper so the referee was suppose to give it but from the other side the referee is saying Kane acted just to get a penalty but I don’t think that should be a good excuse to reject the penalty the main question should have been was there a contact.

England may actually lose this match if they don’t calm down and play comfortably because right now I’m seeing that they are under pressure to score back, but Congo defense is very strong and the goalkeeper is making a lot of saves, I expect England to score in this second half.

If England loses today, another European team will be eliminated from the World Cup. We knew these teams to be very  strong. But their performance in the World wup is surprising everyone. I thought the Congo vs England match would be one-sided. But congo is performing brilliantly. They are leading 1-0. Even then, they are not playing defensively. They  are continuing to try to score goals from  counterattacks. After  55 minutes, Congo is still ahead. We have to  admit that the team is playing incredibly well. Match near end of first half: England is still trailing by 0-1. Amazing start for DR Congo in this 8th match of the knockout stage. Germany and the Netherlands are already eliminated. Are we heading for another big early elimination with 45 minutes remaining in the second half of the game? Cipenga's early goal gives DR Congo a lead in this match.

Now they are doing a good job in defense and keeping England's attack silent. Usually, England has no good history in knockout rounds, but this time they are looking like a much better and more organized side for having a better result. Can they bring themselves as winners in the second half? This is going to be a challenge for them.
