I just hope that USA will not make the same mistake that Senegal made during their game. It's really upsetting that its just one African team that has qualified for round of 16 cause I really thought it will be more teams aside Morocco.
Tbh this WC is so unexpected to the point you can't make your predictions right since teams that should perform well are busy struggling.

I do agree with you partially. The only problem here is that this version of the World Cup is quite different from the previous ones because the number of nations was expanded so we have weaker teams joining the tournament, thus less risk to face several top teams in the same group and the more chance to advance from the group stage.
United States 1 - 0 Bosnia Herzegovina in the first half. No blame for the European team. This is their first time playing there against the host team. They have to avoid returning home with a lot of goals, that's it.

England and Belgium had two hard matches but they eventually made comebacks and won their matches. It's not easy way to win their matches against weaker teams like Senegal and Congo but they already finished their matches well. At the same time, they scored the goal from the penalty spot after  120 minutes. Luck helped Belgium well. Otherwise, it would not have been possible to win this  match. Senegal's performance surprised everyone as usual. As far as I know, it is a very poor country in Africa. Anyway, they have improved a lot in football. If they get enough opportunities and support , maybe they can surpass the european teams.

But they failed to capitalize on some of those opportunities to score more goals. One such opportunity was when Barcola broke through the Swedish defense and even entered the penalty box in the 81st minute. But he was too selfish or even didn't pass to his teammate, where he should have passed to Olise. However this match was a very exciting match in every half. France's performance was truly commendable. I was very happy with the outcome of this match even though I failed with my bet on over 3 goals.

France is one of the candidates to go far even if in some threads in this section there is talk of Portugal and Mexico because of the Simpsons.
Maybe Mexico yes, but i see Portugal as being in bad shape, it would take a miracle.

England is not one of the main title favorites for me, but I still expected them to make it through this round. As you already mentioned, a player like Harry Kane can make the decisive difference and turn a match around almost on his own. However, I do not think England will go very far unless they show a significant improvement in performance. Their displays so far have been too inconsistent and, at times, simply not convincing enough.

The situation with Senegal is truly tragic. They had the match under control and were the better team for large periods of the game. That makes it even more painful to see them lose their advantage and miss out on success in such a way. But that is football sometimes, not always does the better team over the full ninety minutes come out on top.

Based on the recent matches, my biggest favorites to win the tournament are clearly France and Argentina. Both teams look very consistent, possess outstanding individual quality, and have made the strongest overall impression on me so far.

Absolutely terrible. Honestly, I don't like watching them, because they don't usually play to their standard. With the look of things right now, they might likely play a draw again. I can still remember how they struggled against Ghana last time, and at the end of the day it was a full-time draw.

Belgium deserved the winning yesterday they fought so hard when they were down by 2 goals instead of playing just being unserious like a team that has given up they maintained their accuracy while Senegal looked tired when they should have defended the goals till the end of the game. The pressure increase when Lukaka found the back of the net it wasn't long until they goy the second goal that moment changed the game and their confidence restored while Senegal players became tired and frustrated after the shocking comeback. The penalty that was awarded wasn't very clear but it was given no one can change it, big congrats to Belgium.

There's no similarity to me. Congo were not stupid enough to give away a 2-0 win and loss it all in a matter of three minutes. I even respected Congo's loss than that of Senegal. For the better part of 85 minutes, Senegal were the clear favorites and were frustrating Belgium but then it just took one error for Lukaku to capitalize. Who told Senegal that football is easy or something you could joke with? It's crazy how a team who were two goals down came back and won, considering how very poorly they performed. Senegal really disappointed Africans and their fans cause this is a very poor and careless behavior.

I agree with you, buddy... Senegal was really too careless in the second half. They were already leading 2-0 until the 86th minute. and well, there were only 4 minutes left until the end of the 90-minute regulation time.

But I don’t know what happened, maybe the team felt they were already safe, and they forgot that this is the World Cup, where they can’t let their guard down for even a single minute. So I think that loss was purely because they let their guard down at the end in other words, they slightly underestimated the time remaining in the match.

I was so excited about Senegal, but their performance after leading by 2 goals was terrible. They never deserved to exit like this from the event, but now all damage is done, and they need to learn from their mistakes because they were one of the teams that surely had a spot in the round of 16, but they missed a golden chance.

USA and Belgium both are well-balanced teams with the same level of quality, and they are going to have an entertaining game.

Belgium has a good history against the USA. Just because of this, I am expecting this could be anybody's game. A good performer on match day could have a spot in the quarterfinal of the World Cup.

You know I stopped watching this match when Senegal scored 2 goals and thought they were safe then in the morning I checked the scores and was shocked that Belgium had qualified  somehow Belgium made a miracle in the 86 + 89  minute. USA has also secured a place in the round 16 and Belgium is a worthy opponent for them, hopefully Belgium doesn't make the same mistakes as the first half.

Today the most interesting match is Portugal vs Croatia, I think almost everyone favors Portugal but this will not be easy and I even think it will end in a penalty shootout well in this scenario I support Portugal  I know Portugal is more prepared in all aspects mentally and experience.

Well, Cape Verde certainly can’t be underestimated, especially their defense, which I think is quite disciplined.  But since they’re facing Argentina, I’m personally very confident that Argentina will definitely win. Argentina will surely dominate the match from start to finish. Cape Verde on the other hand will just play defense and maybe launch the occasional counterattack. But I don’t think Argentina will be able to score many goals, maybe just one, or at most two, in that match.

In this World Cup, I’ve been impressed by the African teams that have delivered so many surprises. And Cape Verde is one of those teams that has been full of surprises.
