America continues its winning, having beaten Bosnia and Herzegovina in the round of 32.
Bosnia and Herzegovina conceded goals that shouldn't have been conceded. It's puzzling how Bosnia and Herzegovina, who couldn't create a single scoring opportunity against America with only 10 men, even managed to get out of the group stage.
The goals they conceded were goals that wouldn't be conceded even in the lowest leagues. There were defensive errors and a weak goalkeeper.
Considering all this, America easily got through this stage despite being down a man.

In my opinion, Bosnia isn't as weak a team as you make it out to be. They defeated Italy and even if Italy isn't currently at its former strength, the name “Italy” alone is enough to strike fear into other nations.

I think the fact that the U.S. was able to win 2-0 without conceding a goal is a strong performance from their team!

We can say that the United States easily won the match. However, we must also say that Bosnia-Herzegovina did not play well. If they had played better, they might have been able to equalize and even gain the upper hand in extra time against their opponent who was down to ten men. Despite playing with ten men, the United States secured the victory and advanced to the round of 16.

That was a beautiful goal assist from Cucurella that led to Oyarzabal easy finish on the 36th minutes to put Spain 1-0 up. Spain have been dominating and controlling the game since kick off time and I believe that they will get an easy win today because their opponent is not looking as if they're up to the task.

The difference in strength is also too great. Spain almost completely dominated the first half. Austria really looked helpless in this match. I think Spain might score again in the second half. Well, at least one more goal would be pretty good.

Besides, the first-half statistics are quite striking. Austria might have to try to break out of the pressure so the match can become more exciting. But I doubt they’ll be able to break free from the pressure the Spanish players are putting on them.

You are right because it was only half chance that Austria got to find the back of the net in the first half. I expect more goals from Spain in the second half because one goal isn't enough for us to say that Spain is better than Austria. Spain also need to show this with the number of goals they will score because it's easy to get an equalizer on one goal

Spain is dominating and completely in control of the initiative in the match. I don't know how Austria will be able to turn the game around in the second half of the meeting. Yamal is in great shape, and Spain hasn't made the score line massive only because the Austrian goalkeeper is playing very reliably. I hope Spain won't lose focus like Senegal did against Belgium and will see the match through to a win. I really like the way the Spaniards play; I think they can reach at least the semifinals.

Kane really saved England yesterday against DR Congo. However, the question everyone is asking is how their game will be against Mexico. As they have made it to the Round of 16, it will not be as easy for them. I don’t even think Mexico will make the game easy for them, because they will also try their best to see that they make it to the quarter-finals. All I will say is, let's just wait and see how the game will end for them.

When it gets into the round of 16, it is no longer easy for any country. England wouldn't want to lose the lead by two goals against Mexico, they may not be that lucky to survive on some exceptional performance from any of the player to win them back the game, in a way Kane did against DR Congo.

Mexico is a strong hearted team, they won't loosen up to two goals in less than ten minutes, England has to do better or sent back home, though i think they have the winning chance over Mexico.

Definitely, no one will think England will be able to beat Mexico and make it to the quarterfinals. Mexico is not an easy opponent for them, and even if England is serious, the highest they could do is end the game in a draw. I don’t think that even with that, they will be able to achieve it. The best bet to make it to the quarterfinals is definitely Mexico, but things can change.

imo Belgian coach deserves credit here as well. Subbing off De Bruyne, De Cuyper, De Ketelaere and Doku. and immediately bringing on impactful players like Lukaku, Raskin and Lukebakio turned the tide in their favor. With the opponent also wearing down, they managed to take the game to extra time with that final Meunier move.

I underestimated the Belgium manager when he removed three of his best players after few minutes into the second half. I was wondering which players were going to score the goals after taken off his best players. Of course, he deserves credit for the job he did in the second half, it’s not easy to come back from two goals down. They will face USA in the round of 16.

It is already 61 minutes and Spain is leading by a goal, I agree with you that Austria is not posing any form of threat to them but I do not know why Spain is yet to get another goal already in the second half of the game, but I believe they will get another before the game ends as the chances are very high for them going by their performance so far.

Yeah Spain is dominating but is currently missing a lot of chances and i wouldnt be surprised if Austria punish them for all these misses. We seen what has happened yesterday with the Belgium and Senegal match. I think Spain needs to score the second goal fast so they can have an easier match at their hand. But still its 1-0 and 2-0 should be it in this match for sure and i think they will score really soon if they continue to attack like this.

I see Austria desperately defending against Spain. Spain has turned the game around and created many chances. So far Austria has defended well, but as I'm writing this, Pedro Porro has scored Spain's second goal. Now they can finish the match more comfortably.

Bosnia is not a weak team, but USA has performed better than them in the world cup so i didn't really think that Bosnia would have won that match added with the fact that the bookies gave USA an extremely low odd to win Bosnia.

USA is just so resilient and determined, even in the match they lost against Turkey they fought till the die minutes before Turkey won otherwise, they would have ended a draw. What marveled me about USA in this match against Bosnia was that despite that one of their key players namely; Folarin Balogun was sent off as a result of red card, USA still managed to score another goal. What should have scared them became a motivation for them to win comfortably.

Spain not lucky with goals today, I was expecting around 4 goals already but they keep getting denied by obstacles including the keeper and the poles  . Lamine yamal trying all his best to get a goal in this game but keeper said NO . He needs a goal atleast so he can play a normal game, his hunger for goals is killing his game play

Senegal (the true owner of AFCON  ) is making the whole Africa proud once again.  There's absolutely  no way Belgium is coming back in this game with what I'm watching.  Both side are playing well , but the clear goal opportunities choose Senegal and they made use of it .

Waiting to see how far they go this time around but Round of 16 is already a solid one .

Unless they decide to hide or overlook this else he's 100% guilty of this charge, like we don't actually need a prophet to tell us it's true, there are lots of proves even during interview, and the 2022 FIFA world cup was a clear evidence of this charge, like out of 7 matches played Argentina literally got five penalties, and the worst of it all was that penalty against Netherlands like that was not supposed to be a penalty but it was awarded a penalty for Argentina, and during the process Messi did lot's of things that would have resulted to even a red card but those things were overlooked, with a proper investigation he is not escaping this.

First the person they are quoting that drop this information is not the actual fabrizio, besides this is an allegation without any atom of evidence but mere Rumors, no concrete news outlets has brought up any News like this. I feel this story is unfounded and has little or no fabrics of truth attached to it, why is it that some of these spurious allegations are coming now that they are currently playing the World cup of 2026, if the issue had happened since 2022 what took them all these years to have wasted this sort of time, to bring it now, as a matter of fact I feel is actually fake news.

Actually Senegal were unlucky because they were leading 2-0 until the 85th minute but in the end they lost and had to be eliminated from the tournament. Many people might have thought that Senegal would win and qualify for the round of 16 but in the end Belgium surprised everyone and won.

Anyway today there will be a match between Spain and Austria where Spain is the favorite. However in this match Spain players will have to put in a good effort from the start. I think Spain will win this match so I want to bet on Spain.

I turned the game off right around 80th minute, it was not exactly 80 but like 77 or 78th minute. And I just assumed the game was over, to be fair Belgium did not look like they were going to win, not because they were down 2-0 only, but also they looked bad.

Then when I woke up this morning, I found out that Belgium won and I was very shocked, I had to watch the highlights to see what happened and it was incredible. Goalkeeper had mistakes on both first two goals. Second one is obvious, but even the first one was bad positioning.

Not realizing, Bosnia is a level of team that barely got here from playoffs, the fact that Bosnia came here, to round 32, is pure luck and they should probably not even be here.

n a less teamed world cup like previous ones, Bosnia wouldn't have been here. USA will face someone who does know how to play football eventually, and when that happens it is not going to mean much.

In the last minutes of the match, Belgium scored the equalizer, taking the game to extra time. This was a huge comeback for Belgium. I don't remember many other countries making such a great comeback in the World Cup. We watched one of the most enjoyable matches of the World Cup. The Belgian coach doesn't seem to have any concerns about bringing on his star players.

btw who were the ones calling this the most boring World Cup?   Every knockout game has been pure drama. it's been incredible so far. with 48 teams, the group stage was a bit weak but from what i've seen in the knockouts, this is going to be an epic World Cup.

I think the World Cup in this format has become much more enjoyable. Not only has it become a truly global tournament with the participation of many teams, but we also see many teams advancing to the next round. In this respect, with its spectators, its games, its fans, and its surprising results, I think this World Cup is one of the most enjoyable World Cups ever.

Since the beginning of their condition has been very clear because the difference in strength is quite significant and now Spain are 3 goals ahead with a few minutes left so this is a victory that looks easy I think.

It's a lot easier compared to England yesterday because in Spain's game today they really dominated from the start and thats what makes them look so dominant in this match.  Austria played defensively from the start because they knew they couldn't make it equal but with Spain's constant onslaught it looked like their defensive scheme had come to naught.
