Congratulations to Portugal even though they didn’t perform as I expected them to, I was very angry at them throughout the match, they have the best midfield players in the world but I’m not seen them in action, they were just taken the ball back in the first half, I don’t see Portugal lifting the world except they change and start playing better, congratulations to Ronaldo he has scored his first knockout stage World Cup goal.
Croatia did very well they would have actually won the match if not for the penalty that was give to Portugal, some people are saying that it was not suppose to be a penalty but that’s a lie because it was a clear penalty and referee did the right thing by given Portugal that penalty.

I’m glad to see Portugal win this match. To be honest, i was initially skeptical that Portugal could pull it off, since Croatia is a strong team that’s certainly not easy to beat. A lot happened in this game, making it a very tense match. More than that, i'm glad Cristiano Ronaldo was still able to score in this match, he's still able to make such a huge contribution, it's truly amazing.. I also can not understand so many google players in the portugal team and thye can not perform well. It is like the brazilian team with Vini Jr which is the Real Madrid main star player for many years, Raphinha that plays so well in Barcelona, middle field players like Bruno Guimarães that did a wonderful season with Newcastle the last years from where they were before. And even them they play so badly, but recently they could win some games.

You do realize we are talking about a 41-year-old lad who has been playing in Saudi Arabia for the last years? How can he still compete at this level? He was an incredible player but he is old, he can't compete anymore at this stage. He is becoming a problem for Portugal.

Goodluck with this bet but I honestly think that Morocco will beat Canada, one thing I am praying for now is that since the round of 32 games are not yet finished and there are still some African countries remaining to play, like Egypt will be playing against Australia today and Ghana will be playing against Colombia tomorrow, I pray that atleast, both nations will qualify for the round of 16 so that it won't just be Morocco that is the only African nation still playing., this some how could serve as a source of more motivation for the Moroccan team

If both Egypt and Ghana will manage to qualify for the round of 16, I believe that beating Canada won't be a problem at all for Morocco because from matches I've watched so far, Morocco (to me) has better and strong players than Canada.

In this match, Cristiano Ronaldo scored with a penalty, before that he scored a goal which was disallowed for offside. Cristiano Ronaldo was still in great form, but the biggest mistake of the Portugal team was the resentment among the players. Because I saw Cristiano Ronaldo standing but not getting the ball from their players, this was the biggest mistake of the Portugal team players. I saw many people kicking the goalpost badly, if that ball had been given directly to Ronaldo, it would have been a sure goal.

But there is no unity among the players of the Portugal team, rather they performed with resentment, if the Portugal team participates in the next games like this, then they will not be able to go further. I watched the highlights of the Portugal-Croatia match. While Ronaldo scored a goal, two goals scored by Croatia were disallowed due to offside. I couldn't quite grasp why the goal Croatia found in the final minute was ruled offside; VAR lines were likely shown on screen for both Ronaldo's and Sucic's goals, but that part wasn't included in the highlights. Portugal advanced to the next round, though they will head home after losing to Spain in Dallas.
Ronaldo's disallowed goal would have been a magnificent one. For a 41-year-old man to control the ball and finish so quickly is not something just any footballer could pull off.
I think it is a shame for Croatia.

Maybe you are right but we are just his fans and we are interested in seeing him play well and we will support him until he reaches 1000 goals. Even at 41 years old he is physically very fit and can run on the field almost full time for the team and score goals. I want him to play for the team as long as he can score goals. He is sensible and probably will be able to understand when he needs to retire. I have some doubts whether he is really a problem for the Portugal team. I've been saying this since before the World Cup that Ronaldo can still contribute, despite his age his performances are better than many younger players, he is fit and continues to give satisfaction.
I'm not a Portugal or Ronaldo fan, but I'm simply realistic, he's a player he deserves and I follow the matches pleasantly, because his presence makes the match interesting anyway.

Croatia is a very strong team. The road to victory in this match was very difficult for Portugal. Still Portugal managed to win. They were quite good, at the same time Portugal performed well in this match.

Portugal's first match was against Congo. Their performance was very bad. But gradually their overall performance is stabilizing. The understanding between the players is also a little better now. This match is the best other than Belgium against Senegal for me in the last 32 so far because seeing what happened including the VAR drama in the last minute certainly gave a very good thing for a spectacle.

There were 3 goals disallowed thanks to VAR where 2 Croatian goals and 1 portugal goal were not confirmed.
Croatia must have been very upset especially with VAR in the final minute of extra time because if only it wasn't offside then their chance still remained in the last 16 but this certainly hurt when the goal was disallowed late in the game.

With this result Portugal is ready to play Spain in the last 16 and at the moment there are still 3 games left for the last 32 and one for sure 1 Place definitely belongs to Argentina.

Portugal's performance so far in the FIFA world cup tournament this year, has really not been encouraging, and they look too ordinary unlike most top things like France and Argentina, that is why I agree with you that they might not be able to win this world cup, since they can't go as far as reaching the final by performing like this, unless they significantly improve, because that's the only thing they can  do, for them to stand the chance of winning this year world cup tournament.

As a Ronaldo fan you can not deny that you watch this game and you did not panic, what a game, to be honest Croatia deserve to win the match than Portugal because they play like a team that want to qualify in the game, the first half of the game was not that good because Portugal midfielders are just passing the ball around without creating any chances and that makes me believe that Vitinha, Joao Neves and Bruno can not work together in that midfield, they are the best midfielders when they played for their clubs but they are not good enough to be call best midfielders in their country.

Croatia scored and opening and Portugal got a penalty and Ronaldo score it and get the team back to a normal level and if not for Portugal goalkeeper performance they will have been eliminated by now, taking off Bruno, Vitinha and other players who are not playing well is the best decision that the coach did and we can see that after taking some players off the field Portugal start playing well and score a goal that give them the lead, Portugal win the game with luck against Croatia that have Luca modric that is 40 years old and he dominated Bruno, Vitinha and Neves.

Never mind goals, there weren't even any chances to shoot at goalkeeper Simon, This time, Spain was truly tight.

Adding Portugal to my parley was a very difficult decision but I knew that there is no way Portugal is going to miss the opportunity for them to qualify for the round 16 which is very vital for them. Croatia was a strong team which I knew that the match is not going to be easy at all for the two team. I am waiting for Argentina to win their matches and Ghana to play 0.5 so that I can have a boom ticket.
I know anything can happen in these matches and I have taken the risk which I know I can afford to lose.
