I don't think I have watched any game that is as interesting as thus game between Switzerland vs Colombia, both sides showed that hunger to book a tick to the next round, counter after counter, if not for this hydration break I don't see these guys stop running just to make something happen. So sad to see Colombia go in this competition, they have all the chances to get a goal but that final touch is the problem, all they did ended up against them and I would have love to see them play Argentina because they are the best match for them, if they play against each other the Argentina side would reduce the speed at which they operate because Colombia are familiar with their style of play but unfortunately Switzerland won the game at the end of the day.

When Egypt scored their second goal, around the 60 plus minute mark, there was a guy saying that he expected Argentina to equalize. However, everyone said it was not possible, that Argentina would not be able to equalize the two goals against Egypt because Egypt is not the kind of team that easily gives away such an advantage.But surprisingly, before I knew it, Argentina scored. From that moment, I started to believe that Argentina could equalize the match. However, I never believed they would be able to win the match, even after they scored their second goal.The fact about a good team is that, at any time, they can change the game and achieve their aim in the match. Seriously, this is a crazy comeback.Now, my favorite team to win the World Cup is Argentina because they are so determined.

The people that were arguing that they will not be able to comeback didn't watch that Belgium Vs Senegal game, infact Argentina scored the first earlier than Belgium did and they were able to equalise 2 goals in the 85th minutes, so technically that of Argentina came even earlier. One thing I have come to understand in football is that, no time is too small for the game to change, I know most of the time it doesn't happen the way it just against these teams that came from behind to win late on the game, for me, it's not over until the referee has blown the final whistle to end the game, that's the only time it's over. Although, I cannot over rule the controversial call that was made against Egypt in this game.

It was an unbelievable game, with much great joy and great disappointment. For the Argentinians, the achievement is undeniable. For the Egyptians, it must be devastating to lose a match they already believed they had won.
But both teams really played very well and this is what football is: a full box of surprises!

I remember Brazil's case. Things could have been very different if Endrick had not missed that chance against Norway, or if that penalty had been converted, the outcome might have been different. But on the other hand, perhaps it was better to lose 2–1 to Norway than to be knocked out later by Argentina or France with a heavy defeat.

I do not question the outcome of matches. I think everything happens the way it is meant to happen, even refereeing mistakes or missed scoring opportunities. That is football... it is what makes us laugh and cry.

It's been hard for teams to easily take down these Columbians, they fight with all they have and I have been noticing them for some time. If they don't score you, they wouldn't allow you to score easily. I see them as a pain in the ass of other teams. Although, I rooted for them to qualify because of their resilience in the game, they have this hunger of not pulling back even though they are playing a bigger team with more stars than them, we saw that in the Portugal game but Switzerland maybe were in another level and help them to a draw for the full 120 minutes. Of course the penalty shootout as I have always said is for anybody. Here there's no master in it because even the best around the world do miss from the spot.

I believe some of them maybe Ronaldo fans who got heartbroken after Messi went to the quarter. However, it makes no sense to generalize all of them to be Ronaldo fans. The fact that there have been a controversial since one of Egypt disallowed goal due to the soft foul, which was not exist.
Some people feel Argentina got special treatment by FIFA. So that's why they're accusing FIFA to give a red carpet to the Argentina to go to the quarter.

If you're also watching closely, one of Egypt player has also accused the game was rigged, and it's all due to the referee and VAR. Nevertheless, since Argentina already won it, the result can't be overtuned.
It means this still remain a controversial even until the world cup end.

The hate is not against Argentina. It is against FIFA for making a mockery of the Egypt vs Argentina match. And please don't try to put the blame on Cristiano Ronaldo as usual. He or his fans have nothing to do with this. I have seen social media posts from my friends, who are not Ronaldo supporters. The naked bias that we saw yesterday was nauseating. I was watching the entire match live and would say that it was stolen from Egypt. The referee was acting in a very biased manner and the strong reaction from the Egypt players and fans are justified.

I have literally seen a lot of people implying there is some kind of preference for Argentina by the FIFA, hence the hate against both Argentina and the management of the FIFA.
I did not mean to imply all Ronaldo Fans were campaigning negatively against Argentina, but certainly some of them are, perhaps instead of Ronaldo fans, they are just haters towards Messi. It would be more appropriate to call them like that.

Sure, I can understand all the disappointment coming from the people of Egypt, specially since this is not the first instance of Argentina seemingly getting a special treatment by referees during this world cup.

It makes me wonder if this outrage will change something in the future for coming World cups or not.

Anyone who watched this match live will say that the result of the match was stolen from Egypt. FIFA has become a biased institution which is understandable to many ordinary people. I did not believe that FIFA could be biased towards any team even a few years ago but after watching this match live I believe that the big teams get a lot of advantages and to make them win, the board authorities themselves give the responsibility of the match to hard-liners. This stigma should be on FIFA's shoulders and this institution should gradually become irrelevant.

In this match, Colombia and Switzerland both played very well. Although no goals were scored in normal time until it finally had to go to a penalty shootout, this match was still quite entertaining. So basically, this match really presented very good tactics and strategies, and what made it even more interesting was that both teams did the same thing in this match, which was playing well. In addition, Colombia in this match was quite superior in scoring opportunities, but unfortunately they were unable to take advantage of those opportunities well.

So in the end, they failed and continued to fail in this match, and finally lost on penalties, which I think is quite regrettable. But even so, this match was truly fair and the loser and the winner in this match clearly deserve high appreciation. Egypt had a high chance of winning. But the bad referee repeatedly decided in favor of Argentina. They showed yesterday how crazy Argentina is. Everyone was so busy with debating the Arg Vs Egypt Match they forget to mention another game Switzerland Vs Columbia. A lot of people thought Columbia gonna win sure shot. But Football is Football , it's unpredictable. A new team in FIFA can fight back with defendant champion. So ranking doesn't matter here .

It's again proved by Switzerland, they won by defeating Columbia. The match ended up in draw and goes for penalty. Columbia played well but they failed to convert those shot on target into an actual goal. Penalty shot they we're horrible that's also proves why they failed to score goals.

This has been another world cup with overwhelming dominance by European national teams. Even the ones which were played poorly on groups stage, like Belgium and Switzerland, managed to win their games and move to quarter finals.

On the day of Argentina's victory, I am not happy with Argentina's performance at all. The first 70 minutes they seemed very tired, maybe they need a rest now. Yesterday, Argentina's main problem was slowness, the players were not ready to run. However, in the end, they were able to come back great even after being 2-0 down.

After being 2 goals behind, everyone probably expected Argentina to be eliminated in the round of 16, but they finally proved themselves to be a big team and won the match. Their next match will be against Switzerland, maybe the match will not be too difficult for Argentina. The road to the final is still very easy for Argentina, they just have to play their normal game.
