These two are coming face-to-face again after their last rendezvous in the previous World Cup... That was even a semi-final match as a reminder and France won by 2-0 then.

This time it's quarter-final. I didn't like Morocco's game against Canada but still destroyed them in score. France struggled against Paraguay interestingly but they are still the biggest title contender for sure.

Morocco have been like a dark horse to me.    But it looks like this is the end of the road in case of not seeing a surprise.

The round of 16 is over today and we are moving up to the Quarterfinals stage. Where France will play against Morocco, Norway vs England, Spain and Belgium and Argentina vs Switzerland. All these  matches are not going to be funny.

In my opinion, in addition to having won against Colombia, Switzerland will also be able to punish Argentina as everyone wants, perhaps for some this will be the punishment for this team, it could be this round, but i don't think that Switzerland can actually beat Argentina, but everyone believes in it.

It was a superb game, and you must respect the Argentinians even more after this. To fight like they did and to come back from 0:2 in the 80th minute is something almost equal to the magic night in Istanbul with Liverpool—it definitely had those vibes for me. Respect to Argentina, now they need to go all the way.

It was certainly a superb performance by Argentina; there’s no doubt they gave it their all right to the very end. But the match was heavily influenced by the referee’s decisions, which, in my opinion, were highly questionable.
Egypt played a fantastic match until the 79th minute, then mysteriously lost their focus and paid dearly for it with defeat and elimination from the World Cup.

Yes, Argentina's performance and strong attack was great, although they attacked until the last minute of the game and won. However, the referee's issue is really questionable in everyone's mind because we noticed that there was a lot of one-sided judgment here, especially in the case of goal disallowance. When the Egyptian team conceded a goal in the last minute, their attitude to the game changed a lot, especially their confidence was broken a little. In the end, they played completely defensively and Argentina's strong attack, which they failed to prevent. However, if the game could have been played longer, the Egyptian team could have definitely defeated the Argentine team, but there were many wrong decisions by the referee, especially in the case of fouls, the Egyptian players appealed a lot but they were not accepted. However, in any case, the Egyptian team lost a lot of attention from the game, as a result of which the Argentine team scored a goal in that opportunity and confirmed its place in the quarter-finals.

Argentina played well but the referee was on there side I will just say that FIFA wants Argentina to win the title, so many wrong decisions but the referee Egypt second goal shouldn't have been disallowed but they disallowed it because they never wanted Messi and Argentina to be eliminated i believe it was same tackle that made the referee and the VAR to disallowed Egypt goal was same thing that happened to Salah but the referee acted like nothing happened and Argentina used that opportunity to secure there win over Egypt.

Yes, there were some strange moments during the match. I saw it too, and everyone is talking about it, but I don't think it was a decision made by FIFA; rather, the referee made some questionable calls. The Egypt head coach made a very significant statement after the match, calling out these serious refereeing errors. But who knows if it will actually make a difference!

That was FIFA's decision. Until now, we viewers thought FIFA was neutral. But after the Argentina vs Egypt game was over, I realized that FIFA itself is also corrupt. Didn't you see how the referee went to FIFA to get permission to disallow Egypt's goal and then disallowed Egypt's goal and announced a penalty for Argentina. Even billions of great people in the world will not be able to convince me that FIFA works impartially. It is definitely clear that FIFA wants Argentina to win the World Cup this time too.

It would be a scandal and would be seen by billions of people; moreover, the whole competition would lose its appeal.

Almost all the friends I chat with agree that France is one of the main contenders for the World Cup trophy this year. The team has already proven why they are the best in their performance. They have won every match and Mbappe is scoring goals with great power.
As for the Moroccan team, they are also performing well and can challenge the strong French team for victory because they have some talented players. it is also true that they have won all their previous matches played so far in this tournament, but when it comes to a competition like this, one of the key factors needed in lifting the trophy is the presence of an experienced players who can lead the team on every stage.

The French side lacks such players that has the experience to lead the team in a crucial stages like this, but hopefully they might perform well and probably lift the trophy but its not certain. Lets take the Argentina vs Eqypt match as an instance, the presence of Lionel Messi in the game was felt and made them won that match even though they were 2 goal down against the Egyptians.

And as it stands, if am to predict who to win this 2026 Fifa world cup Trophy, Argentina will be at the top, followed by France and then England in my list. This is because the Argentine has experienced players in likes of Lionel Messi (the GOAT) and some other experienced players who can perform effectively in any situation. It is just an assumption though, with time we shall see the final result.

The Netherlands was also one of the  contenders for this year's world cup. But they were eliminated in the round of 32 after losing to Morocco. In the round of  16 match against canada, Morocco dominated and won the match. They won an excellent 3-0 .

I think some of this is illogical. FIFA wouldn't take that risk. This is a World Cup, and it's held every four years. They know that in the event of cheating, the organization itself could be jeopardized. I don't know how they make the referee appointments, but I hope Morocco doesn't face too many decisions against them today. I hope the referees aren't under psychological pressure.

Why not? This is a very strong team, but both France and Morocco have a stake in the match. After all, they didn't get here by chance, and both teams are made up of very high-quality players. No one is underestimating Morocco, after watching their performance in the previous edition (Qatar 2022). The team that everyone underestimates in Quarterfinals stage is Norway. And this is despite Norway eliminating Brazil from the tournament. BTW, I checked the odds for both the teams. I have a feeling that the sportsbooks are underestimating them. Morocco is at 5.80(vs France) and Norway is at 4.10 (vs England). Just imagine the shock everyone is going to get, if either of these two teams make it to the semi-finals. BTW, Morocco's odds are worse when compared to that of Norway.

Yes it was much and VAR didn't cause anything, it was what happened that VAR was always going back to replay and take action, before Mohammed Salah had his goal we saw what Marwan Attia did to Lisandro Martinez before possessing the ball and give to Salah and that was something that wouldn't be neglected by the referee so actually people doesn't want to see it from how it started but they're instead judging it from when Salah scored with the opportunity. VAR had nothing against the losing of Egypt and there is nobody to blame put their players, imagine how uninterested Egypt was to defend the last goal that won them.

the VAR must be a support for the referee, and he cannot decide such important things at the hands of others, he cannot influence the matches because otherwise everyone thinks that there is something underneath, and i think that many have thought that Argentina was helped with these aids to the VAR, but it could be a coincidence.

And we can see that the French national team has performed exceptionally well in their last few matches. France has a wealth of talented high-quality players ready to dominate Morocco in this upcoming match. And so far France has shown no difficulty in facing its opponents. In my opinion, it’s only natural that Yamal struggled in that match because he’s still very young and this is his first World Cup.
