Honestly,  I didn't expect Belgium to get a goal against Spain...and with such the current scoreline this means both teams will feel like the have a shot at getting into the last 8 , but from.what am seeing..Spain is having more of the ball which never goes well for the under team, but lets see what the other half brings.

The 2nd half is going to be very interesting. I know both teams will be defensive a bit in the 2nd half as soon as one teams scores, it will be all out attack by the other team.

Overall, Spain is dominating the match but the problem is that they aren't in lead. The lead that Spain took when Ruiz scored for them in the 31 minute, it looked that they will now play safe but soon after De Ketelaere scored an equalizer with an incredible header and it was something too good. Whether we will have a result in this half or will we go into extra time, we will get to know this in the next 45 minutes

And another thing to note here is that Spain's goalkeeper is not able to perform well today but Belgium's goalkeeper is very active and reflective.

But what I think is the extent to which Spain is holding the ball and what it is doing is allowing them to take the lead at any time.

Belgium attackers are very sharp which was why they made proper use of that little chance they had to net the post and level the scoreline, this is what Spain shouldn't overlook. As they're attacking, they should also be fast in transition to avoid Belgium using a counter attack to outplay then and find the back of the net. However, Spain should be able to win the game.

Spain-Belgium is 1-1 at halftime. I can't say Belgium are able to balance the game against their opponent but it was really crucial for them to answer with a goal in the first half.

They don't want to keep the ball more than Spain in the first place. They are just trying to extend the match in the way they want as much as possible. In case of extra time and penalties Belgium would have more chance.

Tbh, I'm  surprised they have some quality players, I haven't  been following their game but Lukaku, Doku , Trossard , Debruyn himself looks like some badges line up at the moment.

Yes today's game between Spain and Belgium is truly competitive as both teams are trying to prove themselves.  Just like mentioned above, before the equaliser by Belgium the game was in favour of Spain but the equaliser made Belgium Believe they still have something to stand for which is why the game look balanced now but I am sure Spain will be eliminated at last  by Belgium. Although Spain is considerably dominating in the game but I can still stand to say Belgium has all it takes to win at last.

But now I think another plus point for Spain is that the main goalkeeper of Belgium has retired from the match due to injury. Belgium becomes the first team to score against Spain in this World Cup. I watched the first half of the match and I saw how dominate Spain was which made them take the lead in the first 30 minutes of the match, Belgium played defensive football but they were lucky enough to score a goal in the 41th minute to end the first half 1-1. I feel there is still enough time for a change in the game, almost 80mins and thr score is 1 - 1. Who expected something of such from Belgium against Spain, although I can say that they have been improving since the game against Senegal.

Regardless, I think Spain might still get a win or maybe Belgium, the game against Portugal for Spain seems like heading to the extra time before an opportunity was capitalise for a goal.

It was a rebound and any goalkeeper can still do the same. Courtois was also scored with a rebound in the first half. The two shot that led to the rebound was too hot which was why it slipped off their hands.

It's was indeed a difficult one to predict, I kind of underated Spain and thought Belgium will have this one, but Spain has a strong team and their win is well deserved.

FT now. Omg Spain outplayed Belgium Today, from the first half to the second the whole game was about Spain. It seems we are now getting to see the Spain of 2024 Euros. Every player except Oyarzabal was fantasies today, Lamine yamal in that wing was doing his maximum best, he would have even scored if not because how good Courtious was today. I don't what is wrong with Mikel Merino, this guy keeps scoring at the last minute whenever he's subbed in. First was Portugal now Belgium. After 5 cleansheets Unai Simon finally picked the ball out of his net at this time but indeed the goal from Charles de Ketelaere was unexpected where the attack was fast enough and the Spain players were not ready with the movement from Ketelaere even though they were marking players.

From what has been presented throughout this match, I think we have to admit that Spain are good as a team. They did not stop pressing the Belgian defense until in the end Merino (hero of Spain's victory) scored a goal. Belgium couldn't develop their game in the second half and they really had little chance of that, so Spain really dictated the game with their short passes.

Spain managed to force Belgium to defend more and confine them to its defensive area. Yamal et al had trouble scoring, but Spain had more luck before the game entered extra time. Spain's victory was well deserved and it was not a game full of drama either on the pitch or on social media.

Merino once again wins it for Spain at the 88th minutes, that must have really hurt. Same way it was hurting for Portugal when they conceded that 90+ goal, I feel it was also be the same pains felt by Belgium for conceding at this lat minutes also. 2 European teams paired against each other, one must go back and it's Belgium that's packing their bags. On Tuesday will be another set of European teams against each other in the semifinals. Spain just booked their spot to play against France and one of them will be in the final for a chance to named champions of the world again. Next up is Norway Vs England and Argentina Vs Switzerland.
