If France ends up facing Argentina again in the final, to be honest, I’d find that boring. I want another team to make it to the final. It’s fine if either France or Argentina makes it to the final, but just one of them is enough. I hope Spain or England or one of them can make it to the final. That would bring a fresh twist, in my opinion.

It’s been a long time since England won a title, and Spain won the World Cup in 2010. I think it would be amazing if they could win it again this season.

In a match between England and Argentina, I’d probably root for England. And in a match between France and Spain, I’d root for Spain.

I'd like to see England in the final, I think they have a good team to beat Argentina, so in my opinion, France - England would be a great final. Argentina is playing well, but they're obviously not in top form. Of the remaining four teams, I like France the most, I think they should win the championship this time, although I think if England were to win the championship this time, it would surprise many, even though Tuchel is the kind of coach who knows how to surprise and win finals.

Yeah, I think so too. The English team also has the quality that i think should be able to take them to the final. It’s just that I also feel luck has always been on Argentina’s side, regardless of the great quality they also possess. imo, the turning point was when Sorloth didn't pass to Haaland... if he had done that, it would have been 2-0 and match would have ended in Norway's favor.

Switzerland finished their World Cup tournament in an impressive way and they can be proud of that. It seems their nation has good development strategies and it's World Cup will not like a start of their decline. They will continue to find and grow up more younger talented players who will make new successful era for their national team after Shaqiri, Xhaka, Sommer ... retire from their national team.

I agree with what Slot said after the match. As head coaches must be ready for such moments if they use two strikers on pitch at the same time. Strikers have their ego and instinct to try scoring goals by themselves. Sorloth made a bad decision in that situation but it can be explained because he is a striker. While if there is a midfielder, a pass is very naturally made by their habit and instinct.

So far Argentina advanced on pure luck, while showing really weak performance.

Even Cape Verde in the 1/16 deserved to beat them, not to mention Egypt.

I think Norway's only advantage is that there's no pressure on them because they've already exceeded all expectations. No one will say a bad word if they lose to England, they'll be praised regardless. England, on the other hand, are under pressure as they are expected to reach the semi-finals because their opponent is clearly an underdog. I don't know why England's odds are falling and Norway's are rising right now. I'll wait until the team lineups are announced. If there are no surprises, I'll bet on England.

There’s always controversy over the final results of every match, and this is usually brought up by the losing team. Everything seems to have gone on and probably won’t change the outcome because that moment wasn’t crucial enough to cause a replay. Many people have commented that Argentina got special treatment. Then England advanced because of a referee's mistake regarding the ball hitting the camera. It’s interesting, and hopefully there will be an official FIFA statement about this debated issue. But moving forward, Argentina vs England seems tough. I’m slightly favoring Argentina to make it to the final. But I might be wrong; there’s always a new surprise in football before the match ends.

This is nonsense, it was a greedy play but nothing there warrants a call for investigation. Blame Sorloth for not passing to Haaland, he wanted to have a goal for himself, Sorloth is a striker same as Haaland, this is very common among strikers being greedy with the ball.

Sad, but Norway didn't lose the game because Sorloth didn't pass the ball, they should have used more chances created.

Argentina is  always favoured by FIFA but the reason why they were able to win Switzerland is because of the red card. If you notice after Embolo was sent out of the game, Switzerland performance reduced drastically that was when Argentina start pressuring them. Even as Switzerland was 1 man down it still took Argentina extra time and intense effort to score against Switzerland. If Argentina hadn't scored against Switzerland probably Switzerland would have won through the penalty shootout. The game wasn't easy for argentina, Switzerland were too strong they probably would still have have won hadn't Embolo wasn't given that red card.

Sorloth cannot play on the wing,this was an obvious mistake by the Norway manager because you cannot play with a striker that is slow on the wing. Nusa or Bobb should have played from the start because both are really good and fast. If he choosed to play with Sorloth he should have played 4-4-2 thats the only way both Haaland and Sorloth can play. I would have started Sorloth from the bench and once they start losing he should come in as a joker.

If a player knows that his not in a good position to score and the other player is in a very good position to score he should pass it, not passing the ball makes the player a selfish and stupid player.

England has been able to perform quite well in this World Cup so far. The attacking players are in great shape. As a result, they have performed well against teams like Croatia, Mexico and Norway and won. England's attack is very strong, but their defense is a bit shaky.

imo Norway manager started the match with the wrong lineup. he should have kept Sorloth on the bench and started Bobb on the right wing. as a matter of fact, Bobb was highly effective after coming subbed on.

Playing Sorloth on the right wing in the first place is a whole different mistake anyway. how do you make a 1.96 meter guy a right winger?
a winger or a fullback is supposed to be a pocket rocket. they should be fast, have agile feet and be able to beat defenders. you're out here playing a pivot on the right wing...

Norway managed to qualify for the world cup after a long time. None of the players in the squad had the  experience of playing on the world cup platform. Still they  played brilliantly. I thought they would be eliminated against Brazil. But the team performed brilliantly. Norway tried their best against England to win. But winning against an  experienced and  strong team like england is always challenging. Despite  fighting hard, they lost the match 2-1 . There was no shortage of effort from the players. The match was also very competitive.

I was hoping Norway would get to the final and even win the World Cup now because it would be a new history of course, but the truth is they failed to beat England by a narrow score and yes you are right that England are a more experienced team in the World Cup compared to Norway and maybe because of this they are difficult to beat England. But with the struggle they can be up to now of course it is a good fight.

Norway performance was okay, but the truth is, it was definitely be hard for them to defeat the England easily, when we talk of experiences the both of them has it, but the England is more stronger than Norway despite the England performed poorly, I was actually having hopes on them that they will defeat the Norway.

Now England is facing Argentina, one of the stronger team/country that has consistency in the world cup, well let's see what's going to be happening between the England and Argentina. England play fast-paced football and Argentina play controlled football. I really think that the England-Argentina match will be more exciting and this may be the most difficult match of the tournament for Argentina.
If you look at Argentina's last two or three matches, you will see that Argentina is lagging behind in defense. Especially in the last two matches, we did not see Ota Mendy play the whole time, who is basically considered the best player in Argentina's defense.
However, I think Argentina may change their strategy in the match with England.

Argentina has been in almost every discussion lately and I'm beginning to sense sometime that's not right about FIFA in their Favour may that will be a discussion for another day, what you said about Argentina and Switzerland match is absolutely right, if not for the red card, I don't see any way Argentina will win Switzerland, but common the FIFA world cup is now been seen as a joke, if Argentina eventually win this world cup, it is only them and few persons that will celebrate it because i have been reading different comments in different social media and in this forum, people are not happy with them after their match against Egypt, I would've love it if Switzerland had played against them with complete team till the end of the match without red to see if Argentina would have won the match.

Switzerland lost a match they could have won. Messi didn't score in this game, but he did provide an assist. I also found it interesting that the referee issued a yellow card for simulation following a VAR check.
If Embolo had stayed on the pitch, Argentina wouldn't have had an easy time of it.
In my opinion, Switzerland played better, but the red card changed the complexion of the match.

It must be admitted, Switzerland played very well, they managed to force Argentina to a 1-1 draw in normal time despite playing with 10 men from the 72nd minute. I think the second yellow card that Breel Embolo received then resulted in a red card due to his own mistake, there was no physical contact at that moment and it was clearly visible in the slow-motion. The dive was one of the worst in World Cup history, everyone saw clearly that the Argentine player did not touch Embolo at all. Breel Embolo was the one to blame for Switzerland defeat, as a result of his actions, Argentina was able to easily control the game when it entered extra time, they managed to take advantage of the gaps and fatigue of the Switzerland players to score two additional goals.
