What happened to France?? The game became chaotic, many players are easily provoked emotions, while Spain the game remains solid now scored 2 goals, impossible for France to catch up.

It is true that the H2H record is still valid between these two teams, which France still does not move in front of Spain even though we think France is better, proving now that Spain deserves it.

I am more than happy to admit that a few of my bets went to trash all because of Spain.  

But it is ok, I read a lot about Spain being an underdog, but when you think about how good the team is and that that team is considered an underdog, well then you do at least know that it must be a great semifinal you are about to watch.

Spain fully deserves this win. What I never expected is how superior Spain would be. This was like a one team show and France rarely took place on the pitch. I didn't see that coming. Spain was never without chances, but hats off to this performance.

What a game! I was thinking that France was going to beat Spain with enough margin but Spain proved otherwise. This Spanish team is very good with a formidable defence line. Cucurella ruled the back and denied Kylian Mbappe's chances. I will say that this game revealed that team play is more important than individual talents. I think that France had the best talents but lacked team work. Spain played the game, kept it closer and played as a team. This Spanish side can actually beat any of England or Argentina in the final game.

Larger predictions prior to the game went in favour of France but the outcome went the other way. Spain has successfully kept the unbeaten streak conceding only one goal against Belgium and this is a testament to their defence. I think that only Argentina can be able to match their energy in the final game. Congratulations to Spain on securing their way to their second ever world cup final.

I am also looking up to England to win the match tomorrow, they’ve been playing greatly since the start of the competition, but I can’t help to tell exactly after seeing the defeat today against France. If I was told that France would be eliminated today, I’d argue it again and again and won’t even a bit think that Spain will dominate and win the game today.

Anything can happen henceforth but I would prefer a final between England and Spain that and Argentina-Spain finals by weekend. This World Cup is just getting even more exciting, let’s see what comes out of the match tomorrow between England and Argentina. This should be the first tough match I’m assuming Argentina will be facing in this competition, we will get to see how they’ll advance from this stage.

I can't believe that France couldn't score a goal despite the players they have, honestly i wasn't just expecting this low performance from France, Dembele, Olise or Mbappe couldn't perform any magic tonight.

They tried to put in one or 2 goals , but don’t forget that Spain has one of the best defenders, just like they have it in the midfield.. their keeper also made upto 3 Big saves tonight.

They almost didn’t even use Pedri at all for the game and  they still won..

You don't have to be shocked, France never played like people who want to go to the final, and there defense was not strong enough to hold the Spanish players. Players such as kylian mbappe, Usman dembele and olise gave their best in that, still France couldn't score a single goal, why because the Spanish defense was too strong for them to break through .

The Spanish players on the other hand were more serious in that match, those guys were playing as if their lives depend in the today's match. Frankly speaking, I really admired the Spanish players, those guys were playing with confidence and I like the fact that they won France at last. Spain totally outclassed France on the pitch there was no room for any France attack, it was all Spain attacking every ball like they were possessed, Marc Cucurella mostly played like he was on something there was no space at all for Mbappe, Dembele and Olise. The hot France attack had no impact on the game. Even Lamine Yamal became defensively rough.

With the way Spain played tonight they may likely win it, whoever they meet at the finals. They’ve been the most consistent and defensively strong team in this tournament, only one goal conceded.

Yes but there was an analysis afterwards or during the match and it said if the Spaniards can keep spaces small whereas the French love large Spaces and position themselves in larger spaces, the Spaniards would have most of the important ball control and they would be better at getting back once they lose it because if you keep spaces small, chances are bigger to be the second man once any one player plays an uncontrolled ball or kicks it out defensively. It made a lot of sense.

Now one detail should never be ignored and that is the penalty giving Spain the lead. It is a penalty and there is no doubt, but it is an unlucky penalty against France. it is not the standard "I stop the player by fouling him or tackling him". Digne just didn't see him, it was not intended and it was not smart and it was not stupid either. It can happen. Well done to Yamal though because he accelerated in the exact right moment and maybe even knew that Digne wouldn't see and therefore kick him.

Without that penalty and the early control over the match, I think France has more possibilities to play their own game there.

Spain has the best defense players in this World Cup. You don't keep that many clean sheets by luck. Marc Cucurella made so many crucial blocks that could have easily turned into goals for France if he hadn't been there. France has been shown the exit door in the FWC with one of the worse performance I have ever seen since I started watching the France national team play. I think something left the France national team tonight that they could not get any shot on target until the end part of the game that was when we saw them acting as if they were going to equalize. This one particularly very painful for me because I had very high hopes for the French team proceeding to the finals and then eventually winning the 2026 World Cup. I can't believe they lost to Spain. Damm.

Tonight's battle between France and Spain was won in the middle of the park.

France who obviously had a more lethal attacking line couldn't find the back of the net because Spain's midfield was too difficult to keep up with.

The game between France and Spain was a very good game. I had bet on France to win, but unfortunately I lost my bet. Even so, I was very happy to have watched the game. Spain played very well, with a good defense, and didn't give France any space to play well. Mbappé didn't have much space. It was as if the Spanish players had studied him very well; of course, with so many games they've played against Mbappé in La Liga, they know his weaknesses. But the French coach made a mistake in not starting Désiré Doué. Anyway, it was the last game for the French coach; now we'll see if Zidane becomes France's coach.
