It is a big upset, as I was also expecting France to dominate and win against Spain.

For some people, France's defeat came as a surprise, but for me it was just another example of their long standing struggle against Spain. Spain always relies on dominant possession, patiently looking for openings before launching sudden attacks. France, on the other hand, tends to focus heavily on attacking, but they often fail to realize that their defense becomes vulnerable when they commit too many players forward.

However, as supporters, we also thought that France would surprise Spain by defeating them and qualify from the semi-finals to the final. Well I guess this only tells us just how unpredictable and full of surprises football can be. Although I’m not surprised that Spain won, even though I expected/predicted earlier that France would win, but I’m not surprised at all with the outcome because even Spain has a very talented players and a solid squad, and they looked like they were already playing the final, so it didn’t come as a shock to me at all. I just feel for France, that’s all.

Well, it looks like we won't get a rematch of the last World Cup final. France failed to reach the final and will now play for third place. I think that since this will be Didier Deschamps' last match, France should win that game. But it will only be a small consolation because they once again failed to become world champions. Spain may have surprised some people, but as I said yesterday, there are no weak teams left at this stage, and every remaining team deserves to be in the final, Spain proved that with their performance. I had the same expectations and bet on France. Surprisingly, I have not been very lucky this World Cup season because most of the teams I have bet on have not won. I personally supported France but they were eliminated in the semi-finals but I was very inspired by the strategy adopted by Spain and I admire the way the team played.

Spain will give good football in the final and I want them to face England. In the upcoming matches I will praise Argentina because they have coped with the psychological pressure with good performances and have won almost every match. We will have to wait for a few more hours for the results.

France didn't just the game, they were outplayed by Spain. We didn't see much from Les Bleus players in the first half.  And thier defence found it difficult to curtail the Spanish attack. The back injury sustained by Arsenal defender William Saliba compounded the defensive problems of the French team.

La Roja have conceded just one goal in the tournament which shows how strong they are at the back. Scoring a top team like France two goals also shows they are strong up front.  Lamine Yamal has not scored a single goal in the World Cup, but he has been instrumental to the success of his side.

Argentina seems to play a style of soccer more similar to Spain's, while England seems to have more physical strength, more individual talent, and a great goal-scorer

I doubt England will be able to beat Argentina in the upcoming match. There are some striking differences between England and Argentina in their respective last three matches. England has actually performed quite well with victories that have propelled them to the semifinals. But they seem to consistently struggle in matches where they’re only one goal ahead of their opponents. As for Argentina their performance in their last three matches has been similar to England’s. But they managed to defeat Switzerland by a fairly large margin. So I personally believe that Argentina will face Spain in the final after defeating England tonight. And I’m sure they’ll put up a very strong fight against England. But I predict that this match will most likely go into extra time or even a penalty shootout.

If Argentinian takes the game to extra time, they are most likely at disadvantage then  England. I am actually looking for to see an England and Spain finals,  Argentina got it recently and so it may not appear a big deal that they do not win it again,  it will be really interesting to have Argentina and France battle for the third place while Spain and England battle to win the title.
