I do not know about you guys, but I gamble because I like it and because it is a hobby as well as an addiction. I'm good with myself, as I already admitted to having an addiction but tried to find and apply techniques to avoid getting off track and spending all of my money on gambling. It's quite easy for me to control my gambling anxiety as I already follow strict rules that help me stay on the line.


What about you guys? Do you have any gambling addiction? What drives you to gamble? Is it the long shot of having a big profit coming in or is gambling simply a way of spending time for you?

For the sake of hobby and fun, it's ok. But remember, greed is a curse.
So don't expect or crave too much. Just play with the safest limit possible.

Most time i gamble for fun. Sometimes i need to take a rest and get positive emotions and gambling is a good choice for such purposes. I don`t spend much money and that`s why i can`t say that i have big wins or loses. But 2 times i doubled my deposit and it was really nice feeling.

People have different dependency level to something. Some people can easily let go a hobby that they are fond of because they don't feel attachment to it. Meanwhile, some can't seem to let go because they got used to the feeling and they have relied on that hobby too much it consumed them.

You see, everyone has their weaknesses. Maybe for you you can easily brush away the emotions such as sadness from losses, the excitement from the hype, the thrill, and the likes, doesn't necessarily mean that people would too. Some people becomes addicted because they lack the self-control. Instead of controlling their urges, the urges tend to control them. The same applies to other addictions as well. All we have to do is be sensitive because it really does happen to majority who lack discipline and restraint. We can also support them getting counseling or treatment for their healing if they deem to do so.

In my family they found gambling as sin so what i does is that whenever i found myself being bored i would go gamble for fun and most times trying out luck to see if i could fill back little bag that has been loose, so if it happens there is a good results then is a win win for me.

Money is the first one. That i have small change to win large amount of money with pocket money. But that's not everything. Games i play need to be rewarding in some way. Crappy craphics and poor user interface would drive me away even if there were higher changes for me to win. I am illogical that way. And games need to be interesting. Either it's betting sports that i can watch live, or complex, beautiful, social, etc. Something i can look forward to spend time with.

That's how it should be but I don't think it's possible for everyone since many gamblers are not playing solely to entertain themselves. The profit to win huge is probably the main reason why many gamblers are attracted to gamble their money even they can't afford to lose it and because of this it can lead to addiction for chasing the losses or the eagerness to achieve the goal of winning huge. So when the gambler started playing with a motive to win and didn't think of the consequences incase his expectation didn't happened then it can cause serious problem.
