I have to admit that I hardly ever gamble, and when I do it is usually national lottery or sports (football). The motives to do so are, on one hand, entertainment and, on the other hand, the little hope you feel until the draw takes place.

That's how it should be but I don't think it's possible for everyone since many gamblers are not playing solely to entertain themselves. The profit to win huge is probably the main reason why many gamblers are attracted to gamble their money even they can't afford to lose it and because of this it can lead to addiction for chasing the losses or the eagerness to achieve the goal of winning huge. So when the gambler started playing with a motive to win and didn't think of the consequences incase his expectation didn't happened then it can cause serious problem.

In short, other gamblers gamble because they think that this can be a shortcut to their sudden wealth in their lives. This is if with their small capital they can grow or even win the jackpot because of luck, just like the lottery where out of millions of lottery bettors, only one can get the jackpot.

Sometimes I just end up gambling because I get tricked by a best friend of mine who always wins gambling, so I also end up depositing money without my plan to gamble because I think I might get lucky like him.

Gambling is a challenging activity for me, for that I really like to face this challenge, we realize that there are two worlds of gambling, there are only two factors, nothing more, (1). Win and (2). Gone, nothing more, but why do people also want to do that, because it is caused by many factors someone wants to be involved in gambling, one factor as I said.

Maybe, for me gambling is one thing that makes me happy and at the same time a hobby for me, where in gambling like football and boxing there are teams and people/boxing that I idolize, after all, sport is one of my hobbies in everyday life, addiction, maybe I haven't gotten there yet, because I can still control myself in betting, even though there are things in betting that make me happy, if I want to do it of course I do it, but if not I don't want to do it, self control is still inherent in me.

Are you trying to say that they is a way for gamblers to share their luck? How on earth is that possible?
I can't even begin to think of how something like that can be done. Or maybe what you meant was that gamblers share their winnings after the end of the game but if it's the other way around I don't think that's possible.

For me, I gamble to add something to my savings using my extra money,  we know that the longer we play, the more we will lose. So if we win, we can go out to be safe, but if we lose, it doesn't hurt too much.😁

A good gambler should know when to leave the table and walk away and also when to continue playing. If a gambler should allow greed to take over it is certain that s/he is going end the game having nothing left. So you should learn the art of calling it a quit even when you're losing because that will definitely save you from some trouble.

That the bad aftereffects of being too much engaged with gambling, that said mentality are occupying the mindset of those addicted gamblers, they will keep trying thinking that they will somehow recover those amounts that they've lost from the house, but the moment that they manage to win, they will push for more and try to win a much bigger amount.

The next thing they know, they already lose everything back and they will find someone to blame. Most of the time, they will call it a cheat, but they will just repeat it over and over.

I agree with you, you cannot make the mistake of thinking that you can constantly earn money with games of chance, for example in that break that all teams had because of the world cup games when the world cup games ended and the games resumed from the local leagues what you can see was a disaster because all the big teams lost points in the games against small teams, this just shows how the results of the games are unpredictable, so there is no way for people to think that they will have consistent profits with games of chance

Gambling is something I started at a dark phase of my life, wnati and to earn much out of little but, you can be sure I learned the hard way and a lot has changed over time with my Gambling habit.

Now, I only gamble when I feel I can win, to test my predictability and as to how much I beleive in the game and at other times, just to kill boredom. I am more of a sportsbook kind of gambler, i know a bit about the games or leagues i pay my attention to and sportsbook isn't a 100% luck. It comes with a bit of predictability if you know the game but, it still depends on luck to play out.

Gambling addiction is very serious. I don't always drive myself to take this gamble. Sometimes I bet on a game. I never bet on the casino side. I beg to differ. It's not the money, at least not for me, but the possibility of making money. I believe this is what makes gambling a funny and exciting activity. It's like a challenge. You know casinos are designed to take your money not the other way around but you still want to take your chance and be the one who beats the house.
If you are into it only for the money then better try something else which can ensure a guaranteed profit.

The answer most of the time is for fun but behind that reality will come up that it's most because of the money, the intention of winning decent amount to enjoy, though part of it is for having fun and killing some time, we mostly see reasons which directly say that they are for fun or for entertainment and we can't change that fact.

We will continue to see those reasoning but as a gambler it will be more fun if you win with your gambling activities, it will also drive you to keep coming back, to aim winning either to recover your previous losses or to try winning again after experiencing good outcome.

Well, yeah of course it is all about having the chance of winning big that attracts the majority of players in gambling. They can say they only play for fun, but deep down inside, there is the financial urge behind it as well.

Most time i gamble for fun. Sometimes i need to take a rest and get positive emotions and gambling is a good choice for such purposes. I don`t spend much money and that`s why i can`t say that i have big wins or loses. But 2 times i doubled my deposit and it was really nice feeling.

I can relate in this mate and yes  I have loved using gambling as my stress reliever , there are so much problem facing from work and business and when I gamble i maintain my positive vibes and so I attract luck as well.

I think the winning attitude toward gambling makes most gamblers feel that despite the loss, they can still get it back from a big win. gambling is indeed seen as deviant or sinful by some religions or other family communities. but for me as long as I gamble fairly without harming other people and using money that I can afford to lose, it's not a problem for me.
because someone's drive to gamble is not just to want to win or as a main job to earn money for daily needs but some gamblers gamble just for fun to entertain themselves when stressed because of work or other things that weigh on the mind. so that gambling can be an alternative to brain therapy so that you forget about serious problems for a moment.
so a person's real urge to gamble is only in each person and if they feel guilty, don't do it. but if it's perceived as entertainment, use the money you can afford to lose.
