Thank you. I’m proud of myself too. I wouldn’t have had the courage to do it now if it weren’t for the increasing number of members here that have successfully done so and have good results.

This is a good marketing strategy, in my opinion. But don't you get another 10% extra if you accept fiat? So what's the benefit of you adopting bitcoin when in fact you will lose 10% every time your customer pays you in bitcoin?

I hope the discount will be limited, say your first 10 - 20 customers since adopting bitcoin as a means of payment. I'm so curious, what are your advantages of adopting bitcoin as a means of payment instead of fiat?

You’re partially right, I may lose 10% profit so to speak but I boost sales and gain a stronger customer relationship. This is common business practice, I would normally give discount at the end of the year. This year is different only because the discount are only on bitcoin sales. Also the discount isn’t limited to a number of customers, I plan on running it for a month straight.

Congrats on trying that out. It's believed that in Nigeria there is a high rate of BTC adoption so it's still good.

I wonder why you only have decided by this year end when you could have done it a few years ago. Every woman has a male benefactor either thier father or a boyfriend willing to spend top dollar for the beauty of thier girl. Who knows women have thier BTC wallet installed on thier phones already.

Despite the fact that your customers are predominantly female, and like you said BTC knowledge is not common amongst them, it might get some of them interested and learn about BTC from here; and from what i know women like going to the beauty and cosmetic shop with their lovers, and we know who usually pays , so male Bitcoiners might use the option of BTC to pay for their partners in your shop. Congratulation Princess, it is a good deed you started initiating this service to the female beauty saloon and i believe through the discount you placed would probably inspire them the more to take courage on how to put efforts to begin the class concerning how they could start using bitcoin to make payment for them to enjoy the discount starting from 2023. I would want you to put efforts on how to create their wallet, how to purchase bitcoin from a trusted exchange like Binance since i know Binance exchange is more common to us in Nigeria to fund our accounts, then lastly, the importance of their phrase, private key and passwords. Great work there @SatoPrincess, the discounted price is sure good marketing for luring your clients to pay in Bitcoin,  I would like to suggest having a printed instruction on how to pay in Bitcoin and placing it near where the Bitcoin Accepted Here banner is placed.  This will save you lots of time explaining to the client that is new to Bitcoin.

Congratulations.  Accepting BTC is a great step in getting more involved.  Accept it, mine it (or mine shitcoins and trade for BTC immediately with a GPU), spread the word, and keep stacking!  Physical shops accepting Bitcoin is what this community has needed for a long time.  The only Bitcoin accepting shop I've ever seen was on a trip to Vegas, and even that implementation was questionable and not functioning most of the time.  I hope someday I'll be able to use real BTC on chain to make actual purchases in person.  So far those opportunities are few and far between.

I don't see anything wrong in the fact that anyone who has a private business enables their clients to pay in as many ways as possible, because that way they only expand the base of possible customers. If we know that Bitcoin is conceived as a cryptocurrency that enables transactions between private users without the intervention of a third party, then we need as many people as possible who will start to think like that.

I have nothing against anyone who keeps Bitcoin as an investment and tries to fight inflation that way, but I think it is necessary to find the right balance between the investment and what Bitcoin actually is, which is a currency. If the majority of those who own Bitcoin would pay something with it from time to time, then it would be a more than good sign for others to be encouraged and accept Bitcoin in their business.

Definitely it will give you more business sooner or later and from my personal opinion the strategy to accept bitcoin as payment will itself work as a marketing strategy and expose about your services to more people in your locality.

But Nigerian government is against the cryptocurrencies right then how they allow a business to accept when they are against it? Just for your safety make sure there is no issues with business in future by this move.

It is good to know that some users are becoming increasingly popular with bitcoin adoption in private businesses. I support this effort because bitcoin should get better exposure at a smaller business level, and recently some of our Nigerian friends have done it successfully and announced it on the forum.

During 2022 I saw many people starting to accept bitcoin payments for their clients and especially in your country Negia I saw some others doing the same thing this shows us how bitcoin payments are spreading all over the world, while we all know this accepting bitcoin payment is mostly came to different businesses because of the demand from people, I mean if people would not demand this then you would not be accepting the bitcoin payment to your beauty shop so after increasing the demand I guess we will see even more case like this one.

More good things happening around relative to cryptocurrency. In the past it wasn't the same and very little number of people were aware of bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Now we've experienced massive change. So, accepting bitcoin into business will surely create positive response in the long term, even if there is no one using it.

To be honest, I was hesitant to do this because I thought it wouldn’t work in my profession. But there’s no downside to trying, so I did.

I'm not sure why you felt Hesitated when there is nothing to , because you are just extending the chance of costumers to have other option of payments as you don't know if the one who enters your shop is Bitcoin or crypto users , so this would help both of you  as the costumers to use his/her bitcoin and yours to have more crypto on your possession .

After browsing the internet for a good bitcoin sign, I settle for this one. The sign is on my Secretary/cashier’s desk next to the card that has my bank account details.

Maybe best to Put the sign also Outside your shop to attract more crypto users to enter and use your services as most of us are looking for bitcoin accepting businesses to help each other.
