I was very lucky to see this post. There are several places near my home where BTC can be exchanged for US dollars. There were none last year. I think this is the process of the encryption industry that happened around me.

The trend is growing for those forum members that also own a business and they're adopting bitcoin and accepting it as a payment. There's nothing to lose for you guys and you just have to embrace the payment method and while you are a bitcoin forum member, you have to apply what you're up to.
I am sure that there will be more forum members that has a business that will start to accept bitcoin for their every products and services that they offer.

That's all we can do if we own a business. There might be not that much demand at the moment but the time will come when most customers will see that banner of bitcoin acceptance for their shops and eventually, the number of customers that pays them with bitcoin will increase.

I think it doesn't matter how many places accept bitcoin as payment but how many of their customers pay with bitcoin that matters. If one out of every 100 customer pays with bitcoin then it's not too bad, if it is more than it is great if it is less than it's not good at all.

I personally would love to have a world where we could end up with much more money spent in bitcoin than fiat and we reach to a 2-3% all worlds transactions done in bitcoin type of thing. If that ever happens, it would mean bitcoin is already huge and will happen to be amazing. I know it's not that common at all right now, but it will become very common if we just focus on making it a bit better.

Most users of the bitcoin payment media as evidence from testimonials on the forum has mostly done this due to convince or as a means of test running the process.

I have a course of wonder though. I suppose the acceptance of bitcoin for a payment media is born out of making options available for your customers and the fact that, it could as well serve investment purposes due to the volatility nature of the coin.
I suppose one way to handle the volatile nature of bitcoin is to swap for stable coin or exchange it for fiat.

Nice decision OP, since the government is seriously working to make bitcoin legal in the country for the users to use it to improve their businesses and other things in the country. You don't have to worry yourself about the few female customers you are seeing around your business because, from this 2023 there will be improvement from female and male customers in your business because, many people prefer to use Bitcoin as a payment than fiat in the country.

You’re partially right, I may lose 10% profit so to speak but I boost sales and gain a stronger customer relationship. This is common business practice, I would normally give discount at the end of the year. This year is different only because the discount are only on bitcoin sales. Also the discount isn’t limited to a number of customers, I plan on running it for a month straight.

As I said, your idea will definitely attract some of your customers to pay you in bitcoins for a 10% discount. I really think it's a good strategy to increase the number of your customers to use bitcoin as a means of payment, and it's a good idea to limit it to an entire month only.

If I were you, I might also consider some other crypto with less volatility instead of bitcoin. Honestly someone out there is too honest to say these bitcoin fluctuation are scary, and they are reluctant to buy them and keep them other than as an investment.

You make a good argument, it’s always a good option to diversify although I’m not into alts, I think they are far more volatile than bitcoin. Choosing a stable coin is not a easy choice, USDT, BUSD, USDC are scary to me because I worry they may lose their peg.

I think there are more entrepreneurs in Nigeria than civil workers. Getting a white collar job in Nigeria is hard despite your qualifications so most of us have chosen to be our own boss and creating multiple streams of income. That’s the way to survive in Nigeria. I think you are right, it’s my responsibility to share my knowledge. From now on, I’m creating a group for working women who want to learn bitcoin. It will be good to have more women in bitcoin.

Nigeria is one of those underdeveloped or poor countries so people there needs to work hard. One of the ways that they can think of to help their lives is to run a business. Every business do always start small but as soon as they got successful, this will grow eventually. The emergence of cryptos such as Bitcoin is also an asset for them. These people saw a big potential in BTC so they think it will be a good idea to adopt it on their business. Let's only hope that their government is going to be more friendly with cryptos later on.

From the OP's story his business is a beauty shop so it's normal that most of his customers are women. We shouldn't underestimate them because they also do what other most men can do including taking a risk and BTC is already popular now so they heard and use it even before.

You must be patient and prepared to engage in extra teaching activities for some of your customers because, as you stated, female customers have less knowledge of Bitcoin. You must devote your time and accept the responsibility of teaching them.

Because when people talk about Bitcoin adoption, Ecuador does not come to mind, unlike places like Venezuela, El Salvador, Argentina or Nigeria.
In my opinion sounds very situational, but since you live there I guess you have a better idea than I do about the utility of Bitcoin in your community.
Since Ecuador uses the USD as currency, I would not think the general population would immediately jump into accept BTC.

Wow, I’m not aware Ecuador was a crypto hub. It’s a shame we are worlds apart. If you own a business, I think it’s a good time for you to adopt bitcoin payments.

The ban didn’t stop us from going about our business, we were more careful how we make p2p transactions so as not to alert the authorities. Fortunately Bitcoin is now legal in Nigeria so there is complete freedom to use bitcoin, this will boost the number of people buying bitcoins.

Awesome. You're adopting Bitcoin properly and effectively. Don't be demotivated if very few customers are willing to pay in Bitcoin. You could call this an advertisement for your business. Customers who buy with Bitcoin will share their experiences with others. As a result, more people will be curious and may come to you. In my country Bitcoin has really become popular. not only among men but also popular among women. even some of the crypto market analysts I know are women. I always exchange ideas with him regarding market analysis. But unfortunately in my country really can't implement a payment system with bitcoin. because it's still illegal. and Bitcoin is only legal as an investment asset in my country. and taxes have already been imposed. But actually the government is also very open-minded with the progress of crypto and bitcoin. However, it may take some time for us to accept bitcoin as legal tender. but still, some shops owned by my acquaintances also accept bitcoin as a means of payment, but not many know about it because the shop doesn't put up a notice board about this. because well the problem is legality.
