As a Juventus fan I can tell you you're asking a fair question. This year, once again, we're starting from zero. We had high hopes last year after getting Giuntoli from Napoli but unfortunately instead of improving things he screwed up pretty much everything, from the players he bought (except Thuram), the players he sold (he pretty much gave away Huijsen for free), and the manager he chose. After 6 months everything was sinking. I don't have any particular expectation for this season, I simply hope to see some actual ideas and logic behind what they do. We'll see.

Retegui is a great deal for Saudi league. Didn't expected him to move to Al Qadisiyah, I expected him to move to some team like Hilal or Ittihad or Nassr like the big clubs. But even in this case, he is making the team better.

A yearly 20 million salary is not a small feat, plus it is going to be 4 years, so that's a 80 million deal. Saying they were fortunate to beat Manchester city sounded like some sort of luck meanwhile in the actual sense they did earned it, their performance in the game was classic and deserving of the win, the surprise I see for me here is in their defeat against Fluminense, after they won Manchester City,  ordinarily it was excepted of them that they were going to have their confidence boosted and they will be in a very food position to typically win a game like that without seeing it as really challenging but how they lost and got kicked out against a smaller team as compared to the one they won much before made it somehow surprising but then that is football.

I'm happy to see that someone admits that Al Hilal, despite the great tournament, had luck on their side. Let's not forget that for many European teams this tournament was not taken very seriously because the players were tired and they were already thinking about the holidays and the new season.
