But it is more about value you get for the money and this is proof that no matter whether they pay Ronaldo half a billion for two years or three billion, it doesn't make them any stronger on the pitch. If instead of Ronaldo they would pay three players 80 million per year, it would make them stronger. But they are not interested in winning titles, they are interested in building a name for themselves on the back of human beings like Ronaldo.

Yes but for me it raises the question whether players can be overpaid or not. If there is nothing to come afterwards in your life in terms of money, are you still playing your best?
