I agree that just because ronaldo is playing in that league the other players have not become good players, but what will happen is that ronaldo himself will start not playing well due to the fact that he is playing with players who are not top level players, ronaldo's skills will reduce each season and as a result he will retire forgotten. the truth is hard but it needs to be faced head on, this league is not competitive, so ronaldo obviously won't be running a lot or making much effort, it will be as if he were playing at an amateur level, any coach or physical trainer knows very well that when an athlete is not competing at the highest level he does not have high level skills

The presence of only Ronaldo might not automatically lead to the development or improvement of the Saudi League. But it will make the Saudi league attractive which might make more quality players to consider the league. If more players start arriving in Saudi Arabia there might be a transfer of skill and development from these foreign players to the Saudi League.

But I think one of the greatest  impediment to the development of the Saudi League might be their religious belief, Islamic laws and culture. Most footballer would prefer a free and democratic society, regardless of the money or how lucrative the contract might look. The question is; would they give other players the same privilege or right they have to Ronaldo. They answer to this question would determine how many quality players the league would be able to attract.

I can't agree with you, Saudi league is the strongest and most popular league in Asia, it's exciting league with many strong teams despite the arrival of Ronaldo. He surely won't be the same player he was in Europe, but the target of bringing him exceeds watching him play on the ground. Football is now helping countries to gain attention as the number of attendances is rising drastically, so it became a way to educate people about some cultures and that can help the country in many domains including tourism and economic. Moreover, they won't stop on Ronaldo as more players are on the radar of some wealthy Saudi teams.

I am not sure if that could happen. Qatar was a big deal, the president was fired because of birbery charges, and thousand died, and they asked people to "respect their culture" by literally banning people from expressing their freedom of speech.

These all happened during just this year, and if they give it to Saudi Arabia, which already owns Newcastle basically as a nation, but has countless human rights violations in their nation, it would be suicide for FIFA, I am sure there must be some people who will try to overtake Fifa and take them to SJW route and overcorrect things if that happens and it would suck because of that too, we just want the normal common sense middle ground.

Ronaldo is a part of the Saudi team that is bidding for the 2030 World Cup, and the rumor is that he will be receiving around $200 million for his services (this is in addition to the contract amount paid by Al Nassr). The question is whether FIFA wants another world cup in the middle east or not. Many of the fans were not happy with the restrictions imposed during Qatar 2022, but in the end a lot of people were awestruck by the hundreds of billions of USD splashed by the Qataris to prepare for the tournament. In the end, it's money that talks.

There's no point in doing this unless he's a multimillionaire. It is called ultimate happiness to watch them together for the last time since there will be no more meetings.
