I agree with you. Al Ittihad the current defending champions, are currently in sixth place which is a bad result. At least they can still compete with Al Hilal, Al Nassr and Al Ahli this season. But I don't know what happened to Al Ittihad that kept them in sixth place. They haven't even been able to beat the strong teams you mentioned this season and in their next match they'll also face Al Hilal and I'm not sure they can win that match.
