I think the Portuguese forward may rather prefer to stay on at Al Nasr after the expiration of his contract, he has nothing to lose and I don't think many European clubs would be much interested in him by then so his only suitable option would be to renew his contract with the Saudi Arabian side Al Nasr, maybe for a short spell, at least this would guarantee him much more money in anticipation for his retirement and future investments if he intends indulging in something different after retirement.

Yes, it is very likely that Ronaldo will leave Al Nassr if he has achieved what he wants in the club but I don't think Ronaldo will still play football at his current age even though he invested in UD Almeria in my opinion it is not certain that he will play in the club especially seeing UD Almeria is a small and weak club in La Liga playing in the club is like underestimating Ronaldo.

I don't think the standard of the Saudi professional league would directly impact the Saudi national team in the upcoming world cup since most of the top players in the league are not Saudi nationals, at this critical point in time when the league is becoming more prominent and attractive I expected the league body to have sought for ways to develop youth football in order to secure the future of saudi football but they seem to be more interested in the SPL so I dont expect much from the Saudi national team in this World Cup.

I want to believe that you're just being sentimental and not realistic. The Portugal squad currently have the best midfield options going into the World Cup. Well, that’s probably how it will turn out. besides, given Cristiano Ronaldo’s current age, it really does seem like Al-Nassr will be his final club. And if there were to be another club, to be honest, I’ve never even considered what it might be. If it was so easy, many countries in the world would have better players by now, but there are still big differences and I don't think much will have changed because Ronaldo and a few others played there for a few years. Yes,, it’s true that the countries you mentioned have great players who play for top European clubs, so it’s not wrong to say that Portugal would struggle against the national teams of those countries. Well honestly there isn't much to see. They are not the worst team in the world cup, there are much worse teams out there, like a lot worse, hell Haiti is going. And there are teams which are far better, like France and Argentina or Spain.

So in theory there is really not much to see, there isn't really anything they can do. They will play a few games, not win the world cup and go back home, that's it. Maybe if they are lucky they will beat some big team once, but then another big team will beat them, and if they are the opposite, and be unlucky, they will lose to teams they should be beating. That's literally it.
