Few bitcoins are owned from the sale of motorbikes if the bitcoin value is high then of course it will be valuable it's just that it needs to hold longer and the investment stored in bitcoin will increase in value.

Well, first thing I want to tell you is don't expect too much. We can see the price of it going upwards now but then maybe next day it will go down again, volatility is always the problem. And I am just happy that you are willing to try new investment like bitcoin in exchange for having money by selling these. Since you have two motorcycles and you use one occasionally and the other rarely, you should sell one of your motorcycles and invest in Bitcoin. Since this plan was long ago, you should have invested right when the Bitcoin market was below $16000. Currently the Bitcoin market is pretty pumped and the price has risen above around $23000. If you sell your bike and invest in Bitcoin at that time. You would have a lot of profit at this time.
However if you have invested then good thing, if you have not invested then you should wait for some time and if the market goes to dumping situation then keep some bitcoins invested as you can.  
After all, you hold your stored cryptocurrency in a hardware wallet of your choice.

We are not sure if he already sold his bitcoin right after the price rose, but I am hoping that he didn't and that he held it for longer. However, if he needs the money, it is okay. It was a great example of him selling his motorcycle and buying bitcoin as the price was low and holding it until today. I think you can save some money by doing that and you can save space as well. The decision you made to buy bitcoin is totally fine. But the quality of your motorbike will depend on your amount of money. You have mentioned here that the motor bike you are selling is old and unused. Then you won't get much money by selling and you won't be able to invest a lot of bitcoins. Still you have found a good medium to invest in. There is no use in leaving anything useless at home, it will only lead to waste. So you can safely buy and invest bitcoins by selling your motorbike. A few days ago the price of Bitcoin was much lower than if you could have bought and held Bitcoins, your investment would have made a lot of profit today.

If the vehicle is no longer used and just rots in the warehouse selling it is the right decision because even if it continues to be stored it will lose its price, deciding to sell it and use it to buy bitcoin is a good decision. But if the economic situation is difficult I think more it's good to save it in cash because maybe he needs food and so on to live a life, but if all needs are met with his income, of course selling a motorbike to buy bitcoin is the right decision to diversify income.

For me I think it would be a great decision unless the motorbike that you would sell is something that would gain more value in the future.
