The decision is fine as it totally depends on your personal preference. You can buy BTC on not, that's totally up to you. And as the motorbike has already become old, so I think it was a wise decision to sell. It's not like you can keep them fresh forever or sell them as an antique piece. It's not worth it.
But coming to your last words said in the post, not having experience in bitcoin or crypto could lead to your downfall. Don't get into trading with your bought BTC. Use proper guideline to store your assets in order to keep them safe from hackers and scammers.
All you can do now is HODL the BTC in a safe place until you learn trading properly.

I think it is a smart move to sell one of your motorbikes.  As you stated, a motorbike becomes cheaper as it gets older unless a century past and your motorbike is still at its original state which makes it a collectible item.  Even so, compared with the possible price trend of Bitcoin, I believe buying Bitcoin will give you more profit.  So I agree with your decision and see nothing wrong with your move on selling one of your two motorbikes.

It would be more informative if you have taken pictures of your motorbike, when you sold it and when you buy BTC.  It will give your story a very strong impression.

In my opinion you are totally right. We have to get rid of stuff we have at home without any use. If you keep the motorbike it's going to get old and obsolet. Even when we don't use a vehicle, it still deteriorates and lose value on long term, so better that you exchange it into something that will gain value on long term. And that is bitcoin, as you already know. I often find people falling in these traps of financial freedom these days watching influencers on Instagram. See bikes and other things that provide you utility. This utility is something which bitcoin cannot provide you. In your case obviously the second bike was not that useful so Obviously it's a wise decision to get rid off it. But generally you should not always compare materialistic things with financial assets, because eventually even after reinvesting the profits someday you are going to take it out for the materialistic things only.

I don't think it's wrong, if indeed your motorbike has never been used and is old.
Your decision to sell it and buy Bitcoin is correct, rather than piling it up like trash, it's better to sell it.

Right now you are about to sell the part of your soul (but if you want to invest and then buy it back, then it is a different story). Motorcycles are not like cars. You have experience in crypto and you want to sell your motor bike to buy Bitcoin, so why are you asking us since you have already summarized in your post by telling us that you have experience as a Bitcoin investor.
