Same here, but I wasn't lackadaisical, I was suspicious. When I first heard about Bitcoin, I was full of doubt. I never really believed such private currency would work. I thought Bitcoin was a scam. But then I kept stumbling on it. The impression was that it was a way to make money. That was when I fell victim to a Bitcoin scam.

But I tried to get to know it little by little and I eventually found out it was a revolutionary currency, one that completely detaches the abusive powers controlling our current monetary system. The word was decentralization. I fell in love.

In seven years, you can be one of the best people in the world at what you do.” That is to say, if you had learned about Bitcoin some years ago, as mentioned, probably you would have held more Bitcoin or not. Some people claim they already know a lot about cryptocurrency, while they are lagging in some vitals.

If that person is willing to take the time to learn how to profit from bitcoin, they should be able to find resources that can help. But this also requires a strong intention to continue to benefit from bitcoin because many people have tried to find their way but stopped halfway because they think it is difficult. I do agree that there are too many people who use bitcoin as a scam tool, crypto as a scam tool overall. Hell people are making new tokens and developers of those end up stealing money from people by promising the worlds and then just leaving as soon as they make some money. This is why I honestly believe that the best thing to do right now would be making money in the sense that it would be profitable for a long time.

Hence, we should be focusing on something much better, which is just realizing it's not going to be easy to live without scam in the fiat world neither. People get scammed in the fiat world every single day, so you should be aware of everything else as well.

It cannot be said that cryptocurrency is a tool to scam, scamming is human behavior with people, once they have the intention to cheat, they can turn anything into a tool for scams. The stock market and forex market also have scams, so it cannot be said that they are also scam tools. But in the end, if people don't become greedy, no one will be able to cheat them, all are human, don't blame the centralized world or fiat. Where humans exist, there will be scams.

Not only you, but also many people did the same and ignored this masterpiece at the early times. No one to be blamed, as during that time, it was human tendency to check each and every aspect when it comes for investment in money. Similar thing also happened during this bear market. People with less knowledge panicked and sold their high valued Bitcoins for which they later regret on it. So yes it’s always better to learn from mistakes and use it for your future reference.

It is best to learn from the mistakes of others. Own mistakes are costly. Bitcoin won't always be (relatively) cheap.

Regret about past years and not bought btc will not help you now. Try to make up for this lost time now by learning as much as you can about bitcoin and this will put you far ahead of those who come after you. They will definitely come when they see a successive growth of btc.

Learning is a process that never ends, it always continued like cycle and learning is stage by stage. Getting to know new things everyday is one of the big goals to achieve and not been ignorant of any thing no matter how small it is. Scamming have already existed long before bitcoin was lunch in the crypto space. There are many types of scams available which fraudsters used to trick their people into falling for it. Ponzi scheme is one of the most outstanding scamming tool which this fraudsters used, many people have become victims of it and more will become victims if not enlightened on the dangers and risks evolving the crypto market.

Well people went through there including....me although it was a little bit different in my own experience back in my teenager years. I thought that Bitcoin was like sort of illegal coin used in the dark web for the usual stuffs that we all know is unacceptable.

I never thought of it as a scam though my former friends before think it was. Maybe if I had get rid of my misconception to what BTC is before, I could have bought a single coin or two considering on how expensive dollar value is here in my country.

^If you want to learn, there are too many things to learn and everything that you wanted to learn is on the internet OP was in the right place, a community like this has a good impact on the newbie to learn more in the future. Look at those people that have zero knowledge of BTC, they will mostly call it a scam or a Ponzi project because they don't how it will work, and they don't understand BTC. Most people will have interest if they saw someone who has successfully gained profit, that is our culture, to believe what you see, it is a matter always of money.
However, we can help other people too and encouraging them about BTC, the more adoption the more BTC price will pump.

Everything started with learning will be much better than none. Although we know that learning will not guarantee our success, at least, we have prepared ourselves to know and understand what we are going to do after this. You were simply not ready for bitcoin at the time, it is easy to think about what could have happened if you had invested in bitcoin back in the day, but those thoughts are useless, what matters is you finally decided to become part of this market and you are doing it at a very convenient time, because a great deal of the bear market has already passed and the market is experimenting a nice recovery, just make sure that whatever bitcoin you have bought is not sold in the case of a dip and you will be fine.

Due to the numerous of scam around in my vicinity, i was infleunce by so many thought around me into thinking that bitcoin was a scam or a means through which people are scam.
  Although i was really happy that i found my way hear and since then my view towards bitcoin has change entirely as am currently transacting ,earning and using btc in my everyday life. But then also, I know not that not everyone that knew about bitcoin on time are rich today, Infact, not everyone they owned bitcoin from its early days are rich today, some lost their passwords, some threw their hard drive away, some sold all their bitcoins at a very cheap price thinking they sold it at an expensive price, and today, it's like they are new to Bitcoin together with some of us when we try to look at there financial status..

Cryptocurrency started gaining the spotlight when the pyramid schemes where rocking our societies. People wanted to make money and not get to do any work for it. Just having someone hold a portion of there money while they make outrageous profit from it in such short time so, when it turned out that the majority where loosing money instead, it sort of create a suspicious mindset in the minds of individuals and that's cool. That's actually one of the best things I think came out of ponzi schemes because, it became some means to guide people against scam.

When comes to learning, it's an all through life procedure. One who is unreachable or feels to know it all is someone to who you can refer to for a stupid person. There is always going to be something or tricks to a thing that you won't know. It's important that you stay teachable.

With the internet now, which is more advanced than a few decades ago, it allows many people to get knowledge about anything and they can learn to find what they want. People don't need to be in a hurry to make a decision but have to look for the information carefully so they don't make the wrong decision. But that's normal if there are still many people who underestimate the power or potential of bitcoin so they don't want to find more information about bitcoin on the internet. It will depend on how willing they are to open themselves up with something different from what they already have.

Learning is good in general (although it won't necessarily make things great), and I think a person shouldn't feel bad if a lesson was learned. It's totally fine to be wrong about some things and realize it later. It's worse to never recognize one's mistakes and have to progress. Moreover, I don't think people should invest in something they don't believe in, so I'd say not buying Bitcoin when you think it can be a scam is reasonable.
Bitcoin is still in pretty early days of adoption, still probably has a lot of potential to go up and to become more widely used.
