I'm disappointed in Unstoppable: this meant I couldn't make a (small) transaction yesterday when I wasn't at home, which is the only reason I have this wallet. Obviously I didn't bring my seed phrase with me, so I couldn't recover it. And Unstoppable itself allows me to create a backup, but not to export the seed or private keys.
Meanwhile, Unstoppable's LTC server is still stuck somewhere in February.

I think Cake wallet fits better for what you are looking for.
It is also open source software and they support Litecoin better, plus they have advanced privacy feature for Bitcoin called silent payments.
If I am not mistaken they also support mweb addresses for litecoin, that is very good for privacy.

I just checked it, and it looks good at first glance. I may give it a try. Support for Monero is nice, I haven't had that on mobile since Coinomi stopped working.

Meanwhile, Litecoin is still stuck on Unstoppable Wallet.

Until you suggested Cake Wallet, I was thinking of just posting an encrypted seed phrase online. I may still do that (while well aware of the risks). I was at the point I considered asking for a LTC loan on Bitcointalk 3 days ago

Can you tell exactly why you weren't able to make small transaction? Your unstoppable wallet must be configured on your phone and you wouldn't need a seed phrases to make a transaction. Or you mean you wanted to send LTC and since its not syncing so you could not send it ?

I have come to know about the cake wallet for the first time. So now after your recommendation, i am confused whether to continue using Unstoppable Wallet for altcoins or switch to cake wallet ?

I just checked it, and it looks good at first glance. I may give it a try. Support for Monero is nice, I haven't had that on mobile since Coinomi stopped working.

Cake wallet is not perfect but I think it works better than Usntoppable, it has more active developers and whole ecosystem around it.
They are also working with several hardware wallets, so I believe they have more potential.
I tried using it only because of Litecoin MWEB, and I liked what I saw, there is also desktop wallet now.

Which update version of Unstoppable Wallet you are talking about here ? I just checked my app, and it is still 0.41 and no further update is available.

In that 0.41 version, that was released somewhere in November, they claimed that they have Litecoin Sync boost but that doesn't seem to work properly.

Update speed can sometimes depends if you are using their app from F-Droid or official g00gle play and app store.

People seem reluctant to open Unstoppable github to check the latest unstoppable wallet release because they can get notifications through the mobile used. For example Android users.
Not for all I addressed this because there are also some of the users who pay attention to the release of the latest version of Unstoppable Wallet from Github Unstoppable.

Version 0.41.3 was released 3 weeks ago and not many things were updated, only Fixed Transaction Sync for Litecoin. Maybe the latest release of Unstoppable Wallet in the future is also the same that is not many items are updated.

With conversion of 1541 naira to a dollar, that should be almost $26 for monthly offer and $212 for annual offer. Not compulsory. You can still use duress mode without the subscription but you can not edit your password. I can easily create a new wallet and set dress mode. It can be stressful but you can do it instead if you like.

3. NEW SECURITY FEATURES

We’ve enhanced protection against scams and phishing attacks. The app is now much better at identifying phishing transactions. You won’t see these transactions in your history, and the wallet will warn you if you try to send tokens to a suspicious address.

Moreover, when you send a transaction, the wallet cross-checks the recipient address against publicly available blacklists and sanctioned address lists, then alerts you if the address appears on any of them. It won’t block you from sending, but it’s a helpful measure to keep you informed in case you’re unknowingly interacting with a restricted address.

I noticed this when I wanted to send bitcoin just now which let me check for the recent update. I think the new security feature is good. Also that those altcoins dust transactions will no more be seen. But I am referring to checking blacklisted addresses to let people know about the address before sending coins to such addresses. Is it good?

I get that they want to earn money, but I can hardly imagine anyone would pay that much for a mobile wallet. I wouldn't even keep $200 in a mobile wallet.
I guess I'm not the target audience for these "premium features". I wouldn't want them in my wallet if they're free.

I have not even thought to edit the password before. If there is any need, I can easily set up the wallets again as I only have just two wallets there.

I noticed the synchronization was fast for litecoin unlike before but I did not have any coins on it right now. I have used the wallet to send litecoin before, it was very frustrating and it takes hours after 2 failed attempts. I noticed the synchronizing issue when you open the wallet is worse but sending coins is worst. I do not have any litecoin right now, but when I have it, I will test it out also but I am certain that you will be right. I hope all will be fixed.

I don't really see the point in having a "duress mode": that suggest you keep a high value in your wallet, which doesn't make sense for a hot wallet.

I'm in the same boat as LoyceV on this one... I'd rather pay half of its annual cost and get a decent hardware wallet than pay for a mobile wallet with subscription plans that may or may not come in handy!

It can be both good and bad... In theory, those cross-checks could protect you to a certain extent if you're someone who regularly uses centralized platforms, but in practice, it doesn't always work ^{[it heavily depends on if the sources that they're using are the same as the source that centralized platforms use and unfortunately, some of these sources have a habit of flagging addresses for unethical reasons]}!

Let me use bitcoin to explain
Do not let it confuse you.

If you click on bitcoin, you will see this:



You can see that there is no swap button.

On the GUI, you will see the swap button at the right side beside 'receive'



If you click on it, you will be able to click on bitcoin for swapping but no swapping provider is available.


Compare it with ETH:




You can see the swapping icon there, unlike bitcoin. That can be easily known which coin you can be able to swap or not.

Also you see that the wallet displayed it that no provider for swapping coin like bitcoin.



I hope something will be done about it later in a way you will not need to only be able to swap coins and its tokens but swapping coins to coins. It is available on some wallet but which I can not recommend.

Today when I opened the Unstopabble app (which doesn't have any wallets created), I saw the banner highlighted in the app's settings.

The features that caught my attention the most were:

Advanced Search - Discover Trending Tokens

Track Trends - Trade Smarter, Profit Faster.

In other words, the wallet starts sending you insights or signals about tokens that are appreciating/depreciating at the "best time" according to them? So is this a feature designed for those who like to trade? Has anyone who has tried the premium features seen any increase in their investment profits with this?

I'm a bit skeptical about the effectiveness and quality of these premium features, and I wouldn't be willing to pay the price they ask for the subscription. But I'm willing to hear opinions from those who have decided to take the plunge and test whether it's really worth it.

I don't think paying for a subscription to a hotwallet is worth it.

Edit: I don't like using wallets with UI pollution, e.g:

- Support for shitcoins (which besides taking up developers' time in developing the wallet for multiple-coins, can open security holes in the code for one or all of them).

- Exchange swap features: This damn button is usually next to or in the middle of the functions: send, receive, etc. Now, if I want to exchange a coin, there should be a specific window/option for that, without polluting the UI. I hardly ever do swaps, and when I do, I never do it through a wallet, so why insist on putting the damn button next to the essential functions?

- In my opinion, a wallet should be simple, in the sense of: having a UI with the main functions: transaction history, send, receive.

But also containing "advanced" functions, exactly like work on Electrum, Bitcoin Core, Sparrow, Wasabi/Gingerwallet

We'll use Ledger Live as an example, that trash is full of graphic pollution, most of it being shitcoin resources, even though I'm an "old monkey" with years of experience, I feel lost when using it. Trezor with its graphical interface (Suite) already has a cleaner and more pleasant UI and with advanced resources, even though it's not ideal.

Maybe it would be a good idea to open a topic just to discuss these points.

Well, by now, we already know that version 0.42 is out, and this time, there are a lot of changes being claimed by the Unstoppable Wallet. I have tried to present it exactly as it appears on the app. The premium subscription option doesn't attract me as it suits more to those who are active traders and want to swap coins more often.

Is sending funds to "blacklisted addresses" really a thing? Even if that exists, it's trivially easy for any scammer to create a new Bitcoin address. It sounds more like scaring people into buying this subscription.
