as we know, many people suggest investing in bitcoin because the risk is not too high.
but if we look at the market there are lots of people buying altcoins, and to be honest I also like to buy altcoins but there aren't many of them, and it's still my biggest investment in bitcoin. and to be honest even though investing in altcoins is risky but I always want to buy and the reason is because of the high pumping..
and I want to ask everyone what is your  for buying altcoins, is the reason the same as mine?

  That means there is still a real risk in Bitcoin, and that is the volatility that it has. That's why it is called a volatile asset. The only difference is that the volatility is higher in cryptocurrencies that are not in the top 30 in the market.

  Actually, even the others that are in the top 31–50 altcoins can still keep up with the Bitcoin rally; it really depends on the DYOR that each individual crypto enthusiast will do. They take risks because there are high chances that we can earn a lot if we choose the right crypto assets.

Of course, a low-rank market cap means low liquidity. if we buy/sell some asset that has low liquidity, the price will get more volatile.
People will research different things and will buy different crypto but what makes them different is how they manage to gain more users and we can expect more profit when holding it

Actually people trusted on BTC too much even it's not pump like the other alt coins but BTC is more safe from these coins specially we should focus on BTC up and down price from the past it's never be finish but on the other hand if we see altcoin it has some time 200 percent pump but suddenly it will down as well as if they give profit suddenly they give loss so in my opinion BTC investment is good investment at all

Generally the reason people invest in cryptocurrency is for profit and the believe it has better ROI when compared in percentage with that generated by others. The further quest for a higher and quicker profit had got people just like you to invest in altcoins because it's believed the volatility there is much when compared to that which is with Bitcoin and that's basically the primary reason although there may be other preferences too.

It is true that there is growing trend to invest in alscoins compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum, while it is known fact that altscoins are very risky, but they also present potential of higher reward. Most of newbie and investors with low fund are investing in the altcoins rather than bitcoin. You will never hear that Microstrategy have bought any altcoins.. All big investors know the value of btc and risk and this is the reason they only buy btc. newbie attraction towards altcoins is high because most of them comes to Crypto space by watching video or social platform. All influencers advertising altcoins which is the reason most people buying and preferring altcoins..

People also low fund holder where they think that altcoins will give them quick profit in short time. They think that small fund will not enough for buying btc which is super rated now.

OP if you think you will get more profit from alt coin investment than bitcoin investment then you definitely can. I will tell you of course you can invest in alt coin. But don't invest in wrong alt coin then your capital will be lost. Bitcoin is as risky as investing Similarly, alt coin can face losses if you can't invest at the right time.

Just as mr puloweh555 said earlier, with the help of DCA you can actually use this strategy to invest little by little until your able to accumulate a whole bitcoin, more or less based on your decision. Then another I know that boosts the adoption of altcoins are trend, this generation we live in now, is easily influence by trend not considering some factors, what ever has population and adoption will surely trend for a while until another one takes its place. Of course, people choose altcoins because it can give people some profits. If people can't get profits, they will never invest in altcoins.

But we must understand that it also can decrease very significantly, too. It even can disappear or delisted on exchanges.
