Fun fact, I have never won my 1st round of BSFL ever since season 5. I had a draw on season 6 but I lost all 5 other seasons so another loss here doesnt really surprise me. Best of luck on your next one !

This is the reason why I usually refrain picking these very restricting combinations like Antonelli win + Hamilton podium. If Antonelli wins, it narrows down the possibilities for Hamilton for sure and then there are all those other top drivers. But above all, and this is why I would usually never go with two very specific results in formula 1, is exactly what happened here. One crash, one penalty for a disallowed maneuver, one failed stop in the box (I know unlikely), and the picks are dead.

Well, that is not a great statistic to look at, now you have to wait for another season to break that curse!

Peaceful draw result for start of the new season for my team.
I expected Sabalaneka to win against Rybakina but she played last set terrible and lost the match.
At least I didnt lost the round but I always like to start strong with a win, and I had the lead for most of the round.
Next round is big match against my friend buwaytress, sorry bro but no mercy this time

The new season's first match, team, has a tense end with good things happening. The team is also able to stay in for LMS, which was looking not easy after having a poor start, but still after the end of the round, having 1 point and a lifeline in LMS is looking not bad.
Last season was also good but last three rounds bring things down badly hopefully this season will be much better with some good results while having consistency is also important because promotion is early target Rruchi man have good start of his journey here in BSFL hopefully he will be also sone good in coming rounds.

This was certainly not the way i would have liked to start this season, very far from my intentions and I really did feel I was going to win this round, that was a close one Ozymandias. Funny thing is, I thought I had chosen Rybakina as the winner in the US opens and was beating myself about it. Thought it was a flawed choice and ought to have chosen Sabalenka, didn’t know I was focusing more on Ozymandias answers all along and it only hit me when the results were drawn. My choices were right on the tennis but, my answer was wrong, one time I hoped an error could have saved me, it was no error at all.

In the beginning, I felt desperate in the first round because of many wrong predictions, but in the end I won by defeating un_rank... that makes us optimistic.

Bit unlucky to get knocked out of LMS in this first round. Lucky enough the H2H question saved me and ended in a draw, otherwise would have lost points there.

I think this was the worst start I've ever had in the BSFL. I lost my league duel, and got eliminated from the LMS as well.

I only won our match because of a virtual safety car and some very lucky circumstances.
Norris went just past the pit lane when the virtual safety car appeared, while Antonelli could pit immediately - most likely you already knew that.

I couldn't stay awake during the F1 race, but it's good to know that we got our first win.

This week's matchup is against my fellow RTG teammate, and last time the team got thrashed 7-2. Let's see which side gets to have a perfect start, or maybe even a draw if we pick too many similar answers.

with a 6-2 victory over russeras, i immediately took the top spot in the standings @division #3. next up is General_Bitcoin, who also got off to a strong start!
now i need to keep up this level of performance to stay at the top

Far from ideal to start the new season with a loss but it is what it is. The team lost 6-5 which is a bit annoying as often scoring 5 points is enough for at least a draw. Only 5 of the 18 teams in Division 3 scored more than 5 points. Frustrating but that’s the way it goes sometimes.

We hope to do better this week as we take on Ozymandias_DZ. I’m not sure if we have played each other before but may the best team win.

I also had similar experience facing a tough opponent. I felt like my goals should have at least earned me a decent result, only for my opponent to outscore me and make my goals almost useless.
Losing while scoring many goals can be really annoying, we're just not lucky with our opponents. Some people won against their opponent even without scoring as many goals. The good thing about scoring many points is that we've not been eliminated from the LMS yet.

I paid the LMS rebuy fee. I didn't want to be out of the LMS after the very first round.

You have always been one of the best players,,, so you have to assume that this was just bad luck. What makes me worried is winning rounds only when the best players are having off days, like this first round. It seems to mean that my picks were actually not very smart, just lucky.

On my part, I met the worst player in my division. Hope I can score even higher when meeting better opponents

The same thing happened to me. In the end, I was lucky to get a draw, and I hope I can keep it going this week and perhaps even secure a win. Sabalenka was simply too unfocused in the deciding set, or something along those lines, so in my opinion, Rybakina was the deserved winner.

Congratulations on the win. Starting with six points is definitely not bad. I was a little lucky to finish with a 4:4 draw, but as we have seen, it is also possible to win the round with four points. I hope I can perhaps secure a victory in this round as well.

A good, wanted result in the first round of the new season win was already secured due to the absence of @yassinmanai, but having a free bet in the first round is a great boost for the team because in the first season the team ended at the bottom and now needs a good performance and fight for promotion, which is not easy.
