Sabalenka is getting a pass into the semifinals after Marketa Vondrousova withdrew from the Quarter final match up, to be honest Marketa Vondrousova was very solid when she defeated Rybakina, and I believe she might have stood a chance against Sabalenka hence, my reason for going with Swiatek.

Wow... It's so strange to look at the spreadsheet on Wednesday and see that none of the questions were settled. If I'm not mistaken, the first question gets settled tomorrow (Thursday).

The first question will probably be settled tonight once the basketball match between Turkey and Serbia ends.

I don't follow basketball (I hate that sport ) so I'm not informed about the teams or the schedule I just checked and I see that Germany is in the best position to be the best team of the group stage. They have four wins with +134, while Serbia has also four wins and +71. Also, Serbia is playing against much better team (Turkey who also has four wins) than Germany. So it's looking good for my first point in this round (I went with Germany).

Yep, Germany was by far the most logical answer considering the situation, which explains why so many went with them (unfortunately my oponnent MAAManda as well).
Speaking of which, we have the same answers for the first 4 questions so nothing much to do till Friday evening and Ukraine-France game.

Just check my replies and also take a look at @ILuckyGuyI my opponent in this round in 14, and it's fascinating to see that we have eight replies similarly the eighth and ninth replies are not similar.

It's going to be an interesting round because my opponent is currently at fifth spot while I'm on ninth place both of us are looking for a win, but with these similar replies I feel better because it's likely to be a balanced round where anyone can win with a small margin.

Shame that Germany ruined the basketball question with that 65 points difference win yesterday.
Not much sport in the early days of the week so we wanted to keep you busy with that one, but after that convincing victory almost everyone has Germany - so our idea goes down the toilet.

I know in some question we already have a develop of actions which can lead into the results but still feels weird, all of this is fault of the international break. You dont know how much i hate this periods of the season.

That also means she gets an extra couple of days of rest and that should give her some advantage against whoever she faces in the semi finals.

Swiatek match isn’t going to start until probably a couple of hours more, because them match is supposed to hold at the Arthur Ashe stadium where Auger-Alliasime and De Minaur are currently battling it out.

For this kind of things i cant consider the women tennis serious, a favorite can lose like she is garbage against anyone, is the most irregular sport you can follow at high level.

We can understand why this happen and the hormones for sure have something to do, but still crazy to see the develop of the women tournaments.

About the BSFL is a good result for me, my opponent has Swiatek for the win and i didnt pick her.

Yup. Swiatek is out! What an absolute terrific match from Anisimova, I can't believe she was the same person that Swiatek beat in the Wimbledon finals 6-0, 6-0 less than two months ago.

It was a well deserved win for her, she held her nerves and didn't get bullied by Swiatek on service games.

I'm on the back foot already, I can only hope Sabalenka doesn't win the tournament, to keep things even.

So, I already have my first point since Germany is obviously the correct answer in the first question. I guess the Cro2 guys want the group stage to finish in order to settle the question. I'm so glad that Turkey managed to beat Serbia to secure that first point.

As for Sabalenka, I really hope that she will make use of the walkover against Vondrousova to prepare for the next matches and win eventually. That would secure me another point

When you feel unlucky facing our team, our team also feels the same. Our team has had a lot of bad results in the last weeks, so we hope we can get full 3 points even though in this round we're facing strong team, LOL.
