Norway is looking good so far, but I missed that France already played and won by 14 goals difference. This is not over yet. I believe I’m more than half way into the next round already, firstly thanks to Leipzig victory over Freiburg and keeping it Under 3.5 goals, that gives me a 2 point cushion, I have Draw in Arsenal vs Chelsea while my opponent went with Chelsea, so I have the better chances of earning that point than him.

I think that it's safe to say that you are 95% in the next round. Yeah, there still is a slight chance that I can get away with a draw and then beat you in penalties, but I won't jold my breath for it. But congrats on these two correct answers!

Well, what can I say? When I saw that I'm up against you, I somehow expected to lose in this round. I hoped that I could win somehow because it would be an accomplishment to kick out a Division 1 team, but there wasn't any chance for that to happen. Milan won- for the first time ever those bastards didn't disappoint, I needed that win to push my opponent to penalty shootouts. btw why are you always doing better in cup games than most teams from Div 1

I've missed that 2- player tournament, no need to research, just put Sinner and Alcaraz to make the final if they're not in the same bracket. No skills needed now.

@notblox1 I remember how important it is in the cup to take the lead and this time it worked out for me. The two following questions with the same answers make it tough for you to come back from this, but I figured there is one disadvantage for me.

To the hedging expert @cryptofrka, @notblox1 has Milan as the winner, easy pick for a combo hedge: Milan + ? The fifth question is tricky to hedge. If you had to, how would you go about it? I thought about going with France -8.5 win (odds around 1.85). If they beat that handicap, chances are they might win with a higher handicap than Norway, but Norway still has the best chances to end with a higher gap. Does that make sense?

If I really wanted to, I would have gone with 2 tickets. Initial one Milan + France handicap, and then if it hit (which it did), all profits on Norway to cover or not - whatever you needed.
Didn't check the actual time of the games - but I think something like this was possible, right?

I'm going into the next down by a point regardless of who my opponent is while there are still about 2 different questions between myself and either of them, I don't like my chances at all, and slackovic was supposed to be the tough opponent, damn!

If you're lucky and manage a draw and it goes to penalties then the only difference is minute of the 1st goal, Note3 have 27min and you have 29 min.. Its not over befor its over😁

Iceland is leading 21-12 and it is halftime now. If they get the same done in the second half, you would have +18 vs. my +17. It's crazy how this is getting close again. Como had the lead man, they were outplaying Milan almost all the time, but didn't score. Milan turns it around, but Norway made +17. Who the hell would think that this is still on the fence?

Not looking good for me as well, I need a draw in Milan game today to drag myself to the penalties.

And then comes the intersting part, I answered the penalties while barely reading them, was missing one answer and just added it before the minute  So confidance isn't that high bit if it works I have a ritual for next round.

Yes, I actually like man answers better than that of Note3, except for going in with a point down, I don't think Man United would be able to savage a draw, and even if they a over 3.5 goals with Man United looks pretty improbable to me... Betis vs Villarreal would be my major concern, I'd be glad if I could turn this around without the need for penalties, and if I recall correctly some prizes start coming from that very round when there 8 participants left.

I'm so lost on the penalty situation. I think we lost the round because of Dittoup's perfect 5/5 answer, or maybe it's another tie if the time of booking counts as a point.

Either way, we might be cooked, assuming the next deciding factor is the time of submission or something similar.

Wowsers it's been a minute, this break was needed but boy did it fly, well at least I was free from BSFL stress for now until the next round starts.
At least we will have good games again with all the leagues back up and running and AFCON will be finished, I'm just hoping for a better round and let's see if the break helped any.

That Manchester derby really put City in their place, got clean sheeted and United had so many Var's it could've been 5-0 . I really didn't see that coming the players were really glad Amorim left I suppose, I didn't watch the game but can imagine they played full of joy and heart for the new coach. And as usual Haaland didn't show up, then again the whole team didn't show up I know a few people who are happy with those results.
