Well after some research my picks for this round have been submitted, well since Sunday really as I saw no reason to wait that'll just give me more time to go over and make second guesses which I hate doing, tennis might bite me in the ass but hopefully I get some much needed luck from the international friendlies as I'll definitely need it.

I’ve submitted my predictions, and now we’ll see how I fare against the league leader. These would be crucial three points for both of us, for me to climb out of the bottom of the table, and for my opponent to extend his lead at the top.

The French Open picture has changed dramatically with the exits of Djokovic and Sinner, and in Formula 1, qualifying will be the qualifying factor, something that’s still very hard to predict at this point.

Yep had a quick browse of the questions and they look horrible to predict especially the friendly games just pure guessing whether teams go strong or conservative just before the world cup. Also wont see any f1 before deadline so feels like that will be a punt also.

Yes as i said in my previous post, we are gonna face or see some very strange result i believe in this round for the BSFL. National teams in friendlies are by far one of the most impossible to guess, since we never know what is gonna made the coach of the team if he is gonna try something new or change some player to see if he is at level for the world cup.

It is tough to predict. Line ups are not fixed, so players not guaranteed to start will want to show their manager that they deserve a spot, but no one wants to get injured so close to the start. They can play dedicated but still avoid dangerous tackles as best they can.

Submitted my replies for round 9. Having the first win of the season in round 8 gives some confidence now looking for two in two because staying at the bottom will hurt team confidence.
Needed improvement questions were not easy due to international friendlies, and Formula 1 is also bringing more problems. For me, Zverev is looking like the favorite to win Roland Garros, but he is not consistent. Hopefully this time he will do well. I'm not sure about any friendly games; all are done just with my gut.
Hopefully this round will give good results. This season is going to be not easy due to the end of the soccer season, while World Cup matches could be interesting because I have some information about this. Good luck to all.

There are two things in football I'm absolutely terrible at predicting: cup games and friendly games. I can never get them right. So naturally, half the questions this week are about friendlies. These friendly questions are giving me the same vibes as the Nations League a few seasons ago, and I think we'll be in for a low-scoring round.

At least the second half is not that bad, surely there's no way the upsets keep coming in the French Open.

Agreed totally with you, man. There is nothing more difficult than friendly games. You think a team will come in at full strength, then they change the whole lineup and end up losing by a considerable amount. And not to mention hockey cup games—that's something that I personally didn't manage to answer correctly. Hope that my opponent has the same problem with it.

I have no idea what to think about Joao Fonseca, but I can't stab my German boy Zverev in the back here anyway

One thing is for sure though, Fonseca has incredible stamina. He has no issues with going tie breaks, 13 games per set and 5 sets whenever necessary. I can't recall when it was, I think it was Australian Open when Zverev struggled with the temperatures? Could have been another tournament, but I remember how he was breathing and physically. That is my biggest concern against this Fonseca guy.

Zverev so far had a pretty comfortable tournament, I don't know, maybe he will be surprised against Fonseca, but honestly Zverev won't get another chance like this. All the favourites out, probably not going to happen anytime soon again.

Yep, that's what is complicating choosing the right picks, as the stronger teams will try not to reveal everything ahead of the WC. Then again, some took those friendly games seriously and didn't fuck around, like Cape Verde did last night when they beat Serbia 3-0. Or maybe Serbia was just that bad lol.

Not gonna submit my answers yet though as I am still not sure about few of them.

Cape Verde did really well in qualifiers against good teams so maybe this is a proper test for them,,, hard to tell, some teams treat friendlies as experiments others are more professional. I still have not submitted either But almost!

Probably everyone is going to have Zverev, the other half of the bracket is where the real struggle lies, I don't think my pick should be a really obvious one, but I'd expect handful of us to pick him...

Not a really confident round for me with the Formula 1 being back in play and it's going to be on a complicated ground as I've learnt, not to speak of another hockey and international football which aren't my strongest area.

Impressive, but I also watched Zverev today and I don't recall him looking this fit or relaxed in a while. So I've got to go with the older guy haha. Straight sets should give him enough rest too... and the week is losing the heat so he should be fine. Hope to enjoy Fonseca later too though!

A number of interesting side stories too with Berrettini actually, who seems to have refound Nirvana on his return. I like his character too, for me a bit rare in sports these days but then if I bet on character, I'd never put a cent on Zverev haha, and I wouldn't be able to enjoy Nadal and Fedex (at least when he was mid-way through to becoming great, as he obviously hired PR people to improve his whinyness).

He did play well today though - that was one of the reasons I decided to stick with him.

Will be curious to see the top side of the draw - I feel only 1 player has less chance than the others. I picked the guy playing against him
