Not so well, France did win yesterday, just as most people had expected. I was still hoping that Senegal could put up more of a fight and maybe come away from the match with a draw, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. As a result, I am now trailing behind in the standings by one point, which is exactly the situation I was trying to avoid.

Looking forward to England vs Croatia tonight. Probably one of the toughest matches to predict in the first round of games. Most people will say England to win but Croatia always have talented players, they have given England problems in previous years.

But first Portugal vs Congo. Messi set the standards, Ronaldo won’t like it. Can he respond with a match winning performance tonight?

Looks a bit sad after that show from Messi tonight. Didn't watch the game but watched highlights and Messi scored 3 goals and had another two disallowed. Everything went trough him in those actions they picked for highlights.

Portugal is ass I'm so not sorry, if Congo had better finishing they would've won this game, shitty penaldo couldn't score either. Only positive is that the 3 team question I got right and won't have to worry about Columbia or Canada any longer, so disappointed don't even know what else to say. Grin

A very take performance by Portugal, so many stars including three of PSG’s best players but they could only manage a draw against Congo.

Ronaldo's blank just gave me another point on question 3 and I finally have the lead after the poor start I got. Portugal did not look like favorites at all, almost no cohesion and individual quality of the players was not showing. Conceicao was their best player after coming on but was not enough to get a winner.

Away from them, DRC were very good defensively and decent offensively too. They have enough experience in their team and quality too. Good point for them and a good chance of qualifying now.

This looks like another boring round for me because me and my nemesis have answered many questions in the same way.
I am looking at next USA and Turkey matches as the one that could decide the winner, but I took a risk with those predictions.

I had a tiny balance in my book tonight and thought to myself, let's see how many times I can 1.05 this? Headed over to England Croatia and put it all on Under 5.5 goals.

I'm so glad I didn't deposit anything (would also have gone on Modric to score but instead gave away a pen and caused my RtG team to lose.

This win from England ensured that I'm two points to the good, and there are only two question left with different answers from my opponent, all I need now is for Mexico to either lose or draw, or the Sweden vs Netherlands game to end with over 2.5 goals, just one of these 3 possibilities and my team would be heading home with all 3 points from this round, after a really tough month.

Ghana with the injury time goal very boring game till that happened but it does not help me at all, it seems like a loss is on the horizon as the midweek blues have kicked in officially now nothing is going my way this week I knew it would be tough but such is BSFL, we see what happens but it doesn't feel right at all at the moment.

This team is overlooked by many because of PSG's many star players as well as other players... To draw against Congo is an insult. Lol especially Ronaldo couldn't score, so the answer is clear Messi is now better at the beginning, and a little bad luck in this BSFL because expecting Ronaldo to score so that the combination of goals can be more than 2.5, it was only done by Messi alone. Grin

However, on one head-to-head question, he already has an unassailable lead, so even though that question isn't settled yet, I'm already behind again.

@ralle14 this isn't looking too bad for me. Since you took Turkey & BTTS, it gives me great options to hedge against the worst in the last three questions that we have different answers to. Odds for Turkey and BTTS is 4.75 already, good to be combined with those other outcomes you went for.

You need a sprint now to still win, you need 3/3. It's possible, I have seen a lot of things in BSFL already and my reliable subjective bias tells me that it usually went against me in the past Wink

After watching Croatia losing the game against England yesterday, I remembered that I didn't take a look at the spreadsheet. Now I see that both me and russeras had the same answer on all four settled questions. I have a slight advantage in the 9th question, but the round actually starts today with the Mexico - South Korea game.

Situation doesn't look too bad for me at the moment: I have 3-1 lead (question nr 6 hasn't been rated yet, but since Portugal didn't win, its a "No'"), but problem is that that are enough different answers left for el che to turn this around.
