What a start to the new week  ! Yesterday, there were three questions, and neither my competitor cygan nor I managed to get a single answer correct. That is something that rarely happens and certainly came as a surprise to both of us.

Same for me, only problem my opponent already scored that goal. Ah well, now I need to channel my inner Argentina and turn it around  But more likely I am just going downhill and losing another game plus getting dropped from LMS once again.

I couldn't do very much better job either, I got 1/5, now I feel like I put all my effort into our team and none into individual but I guess natural instinct was to go for all Spain and Argentina in World Cup, and somehow, should have trusted in them absolutely as Spain overscores than expected and Argentina didn't even need extra time!!

Oh my... I just opened the spreadsheet and I was shocked by the amount of red answers in it I'm no better than the rest of you, but I still managed to get two correct answers, while imarios has only one. But, it's still a long way until the end of the round. I hope that I will manage to stay in the lead. I feel that this is the season that I finally get promoted to Division 2.

Sometimes when I need a win, I just channel my inner peace and manage to extract some answers . There is absolutely no room for error in this round for either of us. First up tonight is Messi’s performance. I'm hoping they manage to shut him down the way Spain choked out France. But it's Messi—you never know what you're going to get, and you just have to hope luck is on your side that day.

Messi was marked well enough yesterday to keep him from scoring, but he still got two assists—you simply cannot stop him, even at 39 years old! It's just down to luck for now; we both started terribly with 1/5 and 0/5, but there is still plenty to play for. Tonight's Dynamo Kyiv match is going to be stressful because I didn't check the stats before making my picks. Dynamo was the only team active in the first game and somehow managed a 0:0 draw, but I doubt that will happen again tonight, so you're in a great position to level the score.

Wow only one big red line for me so far and my opponent has 1 point, so it looks like I might not only lose this round but also get LMS elimination  

One last thing to say about team event, I think whether it is boring or exciting depends on teammates for sure. But I do agree it should not be constant weekly thing like BSFL, it should either be for 10 weeks max, OR 6 months but you play every 2 weeks or something. So you can really make tactics, and even can make predictions for team sport events in the future (where odds does not help you much so you really need research).

I noticed that this morning as well, once again, neither of us managed to score a single point. In stoppage time, I was particularly unlucky because the late goal by Argentina ruined my chances of picking up a point. Moments like that are especially frustrating, particularly when the outcome is decided in the final minutes of the match.

For now, all we can do is wait for the remaining questions. Since we have given different answers to some of them, there is still plenty that could change in the standings. So it remains exciting, and I am looking forward to seeing how the next results turn out.

I know about DOTA as much as you, but lately I have been lucky when it comes to that "sport", so hopefully its the case this time as well. Speaking of which, I see I do have a small advantage in that one as one of your picks (Aurora) is already out of the tournament.

Then again, I think that you have an advantage with WC h2h question as France will likely beat England in 3rd sport match, which would bring you point there.

Thank you for putting DOTA as a sport into quotation marks I am all for esports, but could never befriend myself with DOTA. I like the professionalism in counterstrike for example. How they coordinate and it probably is more graspable I guess? More connectible? I don't know, if I knew a DOTA professional, I would probably think differently. It is just a horror to find information about this DOTA stuff and make an informed decision.

Anyway, the World Cup question is either a point for you or for me, but DOTA I can't win anymore. Worst case for you is a draw. And then it is about Antonelli and Dynamo Kyiv. I saw the stats of the first game that Kiyv played and if I am not wrong, they should have won easily. I am not sure about my pick though, it is probably against me. I know DOTA is a very competitive game, and very hard to master, but I just can't see any computer game as a sport, even though I was a pretty hardcore gamer in the past, and played several online games at a decent level and know how much effort it takes to be good.

Seeing how vast majority went with "Yes", you are probably more likely to get the point from that one. The only dilemma I have now is whether to start hedging from this game, or wait a little bit more to see if there will be decisive game.

No doubt about that, those guys are nuts with regards to their mental abilities and reactions and stuff. Hardcore gaming is no joke. A long time ago they let a counterstrike or WC3 player compete with a fighter pilot to see who is better at reacting to certain events and the fighter pilot had no chance against the pro gamer. That's quite amazing.

Only two other brave souls in my division believed in the Argentine spirit and correctly picked Argentina on question 10. They have Spain in second, which makes this a really tough question to call in a head-to-head. Those two are basically on track for the full 4 points. So, that's the main thing I need to keep an eye on; otherwise, it’s a pretty boring round for me

Backing Argentina and Spain paid me off as I have 2:0 lead against my opponent. The way how England played after they scored goal, they just didn't deserved to be in the final. While Argentina just can't be without drama, no matter they're playing with Cabo Verde, Egypt or England.
Messi didn't scored again, but he was crucial player again with 2 assists.
Now I don't even know who I will support in the final. For the first time watching World Cup I like both teams in the final.

It’s too early to start hedging my picks that’s why I decided not bet on the Hajduk Split Europa League qualifiers match, I went with draw while my opponent has the Away team, this is going to be very important for me, considering that my opponent has the world cup match up correctly and I don’t, the only way I’m coming out of that H2H question unscathed is if he somehow manages to get the final and 3rd place combination wrongly, but should tonight’s result go my way, the a hedge would be easier for the formula 1 question.

Ahhhh i take the point for Argentina to go into the next stage aka the final but i loss in the Messi question, i was not so far since he didnt score twive but he delivered two assits, he is playing his best World cup so far and he is 39 years old, is more than crazy.

I hope he can score again in the final so he can put another gold milestone in his career.
