Islamabad United VS Multan sultan

Multan Sultan is now batting against Islamabad United at a target of 172 runs. The target is not very big. If the bowlers of Islamabad United cannot bowl in a controlled manner, they will not be able to win.

So far, the chances of both teams winning seem to be equal. Multan has scored 64 runs after 8 overs. They have scored at an average of 8 runs per over. And have lost two wickets. If Multan Sultan does not lose wickets very quickly, then they will be able to win the match. But if they lose any more wickets before 12 overs, it will become more difficult to win the match.

The match between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans is ongoing, and IU has completed their innings with a good score. They set a target of 171 runs in 20 overs, which was a solid performance, however, none of the players individually scored well except for Chapman, who made 40 runs off 21 balls. Now, MS needs 89 runs to win with 60 balls remaining, and they have lost 3 wickets so far. Half of the match is completed, and it's too hard to predict which team will be the winner, but I can share my opinion, I am going for Islamabad United because of their good record.

Moeen Ali's last minute heroics saved Karachi Kings yesterday. After David Warner got out, their scoring rate had dipped. Saad Baig and Azam Khan were unable to find the boundaries. Ahmed Daniyal and Usman Tariq were chipping in, with wickets at regular intervals. But Moeen made sure that they get a 180 plus total, and this derailed the plans of Saud Shakeel and the Quetta Gladiators. Shamyl Hussain and Saud added 79 runs for the first wicket in just 7 overs. But after that the Gladiators batting line-up collapsed like a peck of cards and they eventually lost the match by 14 runs.

Quetta Gladiators scored 167 runs in 20 overs while they needed 181 runs because Karachi Kings set a target of 181 runs and this was the second match of the series between these two teams and this series is of Pakistan Super League. Karachi's batsmen performed together in this match which was able to achieve this target. If you look, there are many players who have shown performance in many previous matches but could not show good performance in this match, yet they won this match by 14 runs because except for Quetta Gladiators player Shamyl Hussain the performance of all the players was not acceptable. The first match was between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad and now this second match was between these two team. Let see who will win the next match. But Karachi Kings won this match very easily.

We have seen Lahore Qalandars perform regularly in PSL. At least in the last two seasons and this season too, they are a very strong team. I expect them to make the finals in this season too, because they have built a balanced team with world-class players in all departments.
In the first match, we saw inefficiency from the newcomers Hyderabad. Their main problem was a good spin all-rounder. Their bowlers were very poor in the middle overs, they are still weak in the spin attack. Even in terms of announcing the XI, they need to do more research and go to the field with good homework. They have good players, they need to find a strategy to use those players properly.

I think the link is weak in between Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ubaid Shah and Shaheen need to realize that Ubaid Shah was struggling with new ball, he needs to go with another bowler and at the same time when Ubaid Shah did the first over he struggled a lot with poor deliveries and also gave 10 runs to the opponent team, this break the pressure already and then on the second over he by chance had a wicket but still the balls were not so good.

MS have won the match quite comfortably with 5 wickets and 8 balls to spare. IU gave a target of 171 runs and MS batting made no mistake in chasing this target. MS Momin Qamar picked 3 wickets and due to that reason he was also selected for man of the match award. IU lost first wicket for just 48 runs but still they were able to give target of 171 runs only. The bowlers of IU were not able to pick wickets and they were also not able to stop MS batting from scoring runs. IU need to improve there bowling in upcoming matches if they want to progress to second round.

Today was the match of PZ and PindiZ and that was a thriller to watch as a Zalmi fan. We were sad about saim leaving but Haris filled his spot today and didnt let us feel saim has left. Moreover Babar was also great and others too. Peshawar had a lesser run tate the whole game but from 16th over the game started to elevate and Bracewell along with Aamer jamal gave the finishing knock. Aamer jamal IMO was the real MVP.

The first over was so good, Muhammad Haris opened the game and took a single on the first ball. Then Babar Azam came, and he stopped the ball and then dominated Amir with the cover drive, four runs and also at the end of the over, Babar Azam went for another four and at the end of the first over, Peshawar was on 11.

You are absolutely right. Karachi Kings team could not play well in the middle overs and they struggle and in the last overs Moen Ali took charge and played very well in this match. Tom Curran gave more runs in this match because he gave 35 runs in this match and  he was a person who could not play well according to expectations of the fans . Shamyl Hussain gave good start to his team and made brilliant half century in this match but other players of that team could not play well in this match and all team was all our at just 167 runs. Karachi kings cricket team won the match by 14 runs. Hassan Nawaz played very bad cricket in this match and he is a big reason his team lost this match because he played 24 balls in this match and there should be 40 runs if they want to win this match.

Tomorrow once again we have a couple of games just like today, the weekend is being so interesting so far. I hope fans will be allowed to cheer their favorite or home teams while sitting in the ground, but hopefully next time.  

Well, Tomorrow's first game is between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Quetta Gladiators. Last time Hyderabad Kingsmen played very badly in the first and the opening game against Lahore Qalandars but hopefully they will recover it and make a strong comeback in the point table, because that was just a first game and right now there are many matches left in this edition, it is just the start of the big tournament.

Honestly I taught it's pindi game after toss won because mostly from previous two got we have observed how defending team have advantage to secure things, but surprisingly out of no where Peshawar not only survive but dominant things an over before. although it was highest chase of the season till now but thanks to bracewell, samad and Jamal the way they utilize things at pressure mounting situation against top premium pacers.

Today IU and MS game of PSL series was played and this was 4 th game and held at Gaddafi ground. MS team won toss and they chose fielding first and gave batting lineup to IU team. IU batsman set 171 runs target in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Momin effort was helpful in bowling and he took down 3 wickets in 3 overs and gave 24 runs. MS team won this 4 th game and they chased down all target and won game by 5 wickets and 8 balls margin. Josh batsmen helped a lot team to win game and he made brilliant half century 55 runs in 35 balls and hitted five 4s and two 6s. Ashton batsmen showed great effort with Josh batsmen and he scored 43 runs in 28 balls and hitted three 4s and one 6s. Congratulations MS team and their players for winning 1 st PSL game and best wishes both teams to next game.

Tomorrow once again we have a couple of games just like today, the weekend is being so interesting so far. I hope fans will be allowed to cheer their favorite or home teams while sitting in the ground, but hopefully next time.  

Well, Tomorrow's first game is between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Quetta Gladiators. Last time Hyderabad Kingsmen played very badly in the first and the opening game against Lahore Qalandars but hopefully they will recover it and make a strong comeback in the point table, because that was just a first game and right now there are many matches left in this edition, it is just the start of the big tournament.

Tomorrow, another time, double header matches in PSL, but then on the next day, on Monday, it is going to break for the teams, well, at least we have great games in just two days, so the break is reasonable.

Right now we have many more games in Lahore stadium, and then we will see matches in Karachi, then Lahore  & Karachi mix. But there is no excitement for these kinds of events because there is no crowd to boost the players' productivity, of course, the crowd has a huge impact in cheering the players and putting pressure on both sides.

Babar Azam was playing active cricket after more than a month, and he got a good start yesterday. He made 39 from 28 balls and added a total of 78 runs for the first wicket along with Mohammad Haris. This should reduce his stress a bit, and in case he can perform well in the next few matches, then it will act as a preparatory ground for the next international series. More importantly, his team (Peshawar Zalmi) won the first match of this season, and that too by chasing a massive target of 215. Apart from Babar and Haris, Kusal Mendis, Michael Bracewell and Abdul Samad also played their part in the win.

Rawalpindiz gave a target of 214 runs but PZ won the match quite comfortably in 19.1 overs. Babar Azam scored 39 runs on 28 balls and he need to improve his scoring rate in coming matches. If you are opener and playing 28 balls then you have to score at least 50 runs. Yasir Khan scored 83 runs on just 46 balls, if he can play few more innings like that in this PSL then selectors will defiantly give him a chance to play for Pakistan. All eight teams of PSL have now played their first match of PSL 2026.

The game of Pakistan Super League between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans was very interesting and enjoyable and Multan won the game by 5 wickets. Islamabad opens inning first with Devon Conway and Sameer Minhas and both the openers was in a good batting form and showing their class very Well and gives a good start to team and Conway played a secure innings of 26 runs and also Munhas was in incredible form and scores 28 runs and in middle order other players Mark Chapman played a aggressive knock of 40 runs and also Faheem Ashraf paying his role best by scoring 26 runs and at the end of the innings Islamabad United set a good  target of 172 runs..Multan Sultans opens inning with Sahib Zada Farhan and Steven Smith and among the openers Smith trying to built good partnership and played a well knock of 31 runsand gives a very powerful start to the team but Farhan lost his wicket early on 2 runs and in middle order the Josh Philippe trying to do well for run chase played a good innings of 55 runs and also Ashton Turner showing his power hitting abilities  by scoring 43 runs and Multan Sultan chase the target successfully and  won the game

Quetta Gladiators vs Hyderabad Kingsmen

Did anyone watch today match of Pakistan Super League competition among Hyderabad Kingsmen and Quetta Gladiators squad?

After their first defeat, performance of Quetta Gladiators squad was much improved in today match against Hyderabad Kingsmen squad. Quetta Gladiators squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 174 scores off 20 overs inning. Hasan Nawaz and Shamyl Hussain bowlers played wonderful inning today and both built strong and long batting partnership and collected 53 and 54 scores respectively. Hyderabad Kingsmen squad faced second defeat in PSL competition and their batters were fell short by 40 scores. Abrar Ahmed bowler played crucial role and he wiped out 2 wickets.

Quetta Gladiators vs Hyderabad Kingsmen

The new teams doesn't seem to have a good start in the PSL. Neither Hyderabad nor PindiZhave won a match. They are new teams and it takes time to settle in but right now they don't seem to be performing well.

PindiZ lost from PZ even after batting well, a target of 215 isn't a bad score but they didn't deliver that well in bowling even after having Amir , Naseem shah, Abbas Afridi and Rishad Hossein. They are all great bowlers but they didn't deliver and it could be because of the lack of chemistry between players and the new environment etc. Overall will take them to settle and their future looks great as the new teams have grabbed great players.

Well, this time Hyderabad Kingsmen are looking pretty good from the last match where they made a huge disaster in front of Lahore Qalandars, and this time they bowled well and with it comes to their batting, Maaz Sadaqat opened the game with Saim Ayub, but both of them really disappointed us.

Still, Hyderabad Kingsmen were on a run chase, and they did not take anything for granted. At 1.2 overs they reached 17 runs, and early they were playing with a really good run rate as it's their required RR.

If we look at the innings of Quetta Gladiators, and in their last game too their batting was not as good as it should be and that was the main reason they lost the last game against Karachi Kings, which leads that at the end of the day, they lost the match.

So in this game they tried a little bit good but still it was enough, they need to progress even more. Well, today it was a great innings by Hassan Nawaz and Shamyl Hussain, they both provided an essential scoring to the team, and at the end of the game, Tom Curran played well, making 31 runs quickly.

Karachi Kings have made a good start of their PSL 2026 by winning both their initial games. Today Lahore team batting was not impressive, they made 128 runs after winning the toss and electing to bat first. No aggressive innings from any Lahore batsmen. Karachi Kings Adam Zampa was impressive with ball today, in his 4 overs he conceded only 11 runs and picked 2 wickets. The target was not big still Karachi kings have to play 19.3 overs to win the game. Its a low scoring game and we didn't saw any player hitting big shorts.
