Unfortunately people who are fighting just to survive will often stay at subsistence level because they simply don't have the resources to save or invest in a better future. It's easy to forget when you live in more developed countries how amazing the logistical supply chain is to supply so much, to so many, at usually decent quality and at a consistent price point. We should be more grateful for this amazing society that works relatively smoothly.

Personally, according to my own observations, food shortage isn't particularly as a result of climate change, but has more to do with people leaving their farms.
It seems that the more the world is advancing in technology, the more business opportunities are opening up and so are several people leaving their farms for better jobs or businesses.

So to really cub the menace called food shortage, majority of us must endeavor to return to our farms, this a the only solution I can think of right now.

Food crises and food shortages have always been a hot topic of discussion. but strangely it is very rare that really moves to make changes and intend to improve the agricultural sector which has an impact on increasing food yields. Increasing food yields reduces food crises. many talk about this but few have any real effort. And this is not without reason. because I also understand that at this time everyone including myself is more busy with work so they don't have time to advance the agricultural system which is indeed the source of food problems.

but indeed some people are also trying to increase progress in this agricultural sector. they even do it through Cryptocurrency. There are several altcoins that are specifically made for the world of agriculture. like in Indonesia there is an altcoin called Hara ($Hart). And maybe there are many more efforts from through the Cryptocurrency channel that are also trying to enter the agricultural sector and introduce the agricultural sector to young people so that they are more interested in agriculture.
But it seems that this does not have too much impact. but at least small efforts like that have been tried by many.

and I think that in overcoming the food crisis, there must be a move to invite wider elements of society, which will have a much more impact if it is carried out by the government in each country. like creating a free college program for agriculture majors. so that there will be many graduates in the field of agriculture who of course after graduation they will be eager to enter the world of agriculture. due to the fact that in several countries there is still a lot of abandoned land that can be used as an agricultural area. and the government can give permission to its citizens to clear land for agriculture. and the government must contribute in assisting the opening of agricultural land.

It is due to the low price of buying their crops. This is mostly said by the farmers. When the crop is bought in by the supplier, they buy it cheap and sell it at a high price, and the government can't regulate it. Also, fertilizer is very expensive, which makes the farmer quit. The life of a farmer is very difficult, and most of them tell their children to go to school and find a job and not to continue farming. If this was just supported by the government, there would be a ton of farmers right now.

The biggest phenomenon and mystery for me is why with such brains (scientists and technologies) people create guns and bombs instead of bread and butter. Remember we had wheat crisis when Russian-Ukrainian war started? How prices on selected goods went up, how a huge tanker with wheat was captured in Turkey, and etc. Why factories instead of creating bullets arent creating seeds? I am sure that scientists with help of chemistry can change molecules of crops, animals in a such a way, that we would have double harvest/double size. Yet instead we have food shortages...

The fact that people in countryside can harvest a ton of potatoes for example and eat it during whole year or until next harvest does not mean they are more resilient.

Food shortage is around the World. If the governments were able to function corruption free, it is possible to have this problem solved long back. Most of the country does big corruption in the food sector, because this contributes a big percentage in the budge budget of every country. We may ask where the corruption takes place. Huge funds will be allocated for construction of food reserves and storage units. When there is nothing maintained properly, even the stored food goes unused. Different factors does this and the main thing is the improper governance.

If you've got free space in your house like on the balcony, rooftop, or even by the front door where sunlight can reach. You can start planting crops and veggies there. You don't have to have that farming system and it's just like having a mini garden in your backyard or elsewhere you can do it. Planting those fruit-bearing plants would be good as a start. I've done this but not yet with the veggies, so, with my test, the plants that I've planted grew properly and I'll do it now with the help of my mom as she's the one who really started it out.
