Meat and eggs I can get them from my neighbour if I want to, albeit a bit expensive I rekon. Otherwise, food shortages require a good store in the good years, there is no other way round. My personal reasons why I chose to grow my own vegetable is not due to the rise of prices, but because I can assure the quality of the plant that isn't sprayed, coz there was a time in my area where there're lots of people who're poisoned on eating crops they bought from the market. I know it sounds funny coz I could have advised them to wash their crops multiple times if possible before cooking or eating, but regardless it doesn't changed the fact that they were poisoned and even those who did the proper hygiene and clean them thoroughly suffers the same fate. We also didn't know the cause, while some are speculating it could be hugely related to how they store the harvests, that pushed me to plant my very own crops without usinh artificial fertilizers.

Having more money works as long as food grows on the fields. If the amount of available food goes down, the prices go up. What happens if nobody grows any food? If you chose to stay and live in the city, you will always struggle buying all the expensive foods you want. That is why some have chose to go back to their provinces and live there if they find it hard growing their own food here. But if you can’t grow your food, then focus on improving your source of income or do some side hustles so you can have additional profits that will help you to buy those foods you really want to eat. People should never see this food shortages as a big problem, the biggest problem they have to face is when they don’t have any penny to buy their foods and end up starving to death.

That would be beneficial for short term but it will never work anymore in long term. I think the best approach to that is to encourage the poor people to work even if its based on their capabilities so they can provide food for their family. As long as they have their main source of living, even if inflation and climate change continue to appear, that won't affect their health as they can still provide the needs of their family.

Everything still falls back to man with regards to how they pollute the environment with heavy chemicals exposed to the earth crust. Each passing year the level of food scarcity keeps increasing as result of human inquisitiveness, discoveries and use of harmful raw materials to get an expected finished product which affect the global environment, from farm products to sea foods including domestic and wild animals. Food scarcity or shortages caused by human activities  has no remedy using the crypto inventions. Except a high profiled blockchain technology can be incorporated to monitor and guide human activities such that it doesn't affect our environment. You move to countryside. Countryside is much more resilient to food shortages and other types of crisis. Also, you would be surprised how fast people can accommodate to disparity.

If a person who is used to living in urban areas and then moves to rural areas, he will definitely have to make adjustments to an environment that he is not used to seeing before, although he can definitely do it.

But you also have to know that rural areas also have drawbacks when a person is used to using services such as banks, mini markets and others which are not available in villages. So, in whatever environment we live, there is always a shortage, even though the category is different, because in a village there is always more food if there is no disaster coming to that village.

I think it would be similar amount of change that wouldn't really matter all that much. If you live in urban area, then you make urban area money, and you spend urban area money, if you move to a rural area, you make rural area money and then you spend rural area money as well.

So, if I make 5k a month in New York, and spend 2k on rent, then if I move to rural area and make 3k then I spend 800 on rent, not much really changes, I do not become rich suddenly, or my costs may go down, but my income doesn't stay the same. That's why it is not really a situation we should be accepting as alternative to living in a metropolitan area, there are advantages here too.
