Aside from what others mentioned in here about scams and rug pulls, my experience in day trading back in my days just made me stick with Bitcoin. I encountered lots of losses through majority of coins I day traded and it just happens that day trading is not meant for me. That's perfectly fine for me either way to still keep on holding one coin since Bitcoin already gave me greater experience in hodling rather than day trading.

I hope it does not discourage you OP to keep on pushing your projects though as I believe you are a part of a team in a project based on your post history. If you're truly a legitimate anyway, you're going to be okay.

Thanks for your sharing. Yes our project is legitimate and we are truly a dedicated team. As more features are finished and launched in the days ahead, we will definitely publish more details. Please stay tuned and hope you will like our project FireDAO.

The altcoins themselves are what is holding me back, their sheer number makes impossible for anyone to take a look at each one of them and seriously evaluate them, and when we take into account the majority are no good this means we have to spend a great deal of time researching those altcoins and we may not get any positive result for all of this time invested, and when this is the case people prefer to simply stay away from them as they do not think it is worth it to invest so much time in those altcoins for no gain at all.

Not only the various fuds, but also the incidents of the past years have all together kept me away from alt-coin.  It is not a lie that there are big scams going through alt coins or crashing them. We don't have to go far to see the 2022 Luna incident and the ftx crash.  However there are some top level alt-coins that can be trusted but I would suggest that it is better not to hold them for the long term.  Best for holding will always be Bitcoin as you don't have to stress about its security.

Nothing stops me from investing in altcoins. In fact during such low prices I like to buy the ones who can give me a really decent nice interest yearly by staking the coin.I like Zilliqa which I heavily invested in and I am mining it beside also buying it,up to 1200 Zil a month is my target for this first year but when I have money I immediately invest in it even more like over 4000 Zil a month.I like that where I have staked them in Atomic Wallet I get my rewards daily and I can withdraw anytime I want.

Like this coin there are a lot of other altcoins which many people are investing in so people that are in crypto from a long time, nothing is stopping them to invest in altcoins.

I don't see people being hesitant in investing in Altcoins at all. Of course, Bitcoin gets the most investments and the volume since it is the top coin and people believe in it more, but even altcoins are getting some good volumes the thing is, there are a lot of altcoins, so not all of them can get a lot of volumes as people mostly diversify their investment. Bitcoin is only one, so it obviously gets more.

Altcoins that are trusted and have been around for a long are not bad investments at all. They provide great returns even in the short term if the price rises up just a little. Scalpers earn profits mostly through altcoins like ETH and BNB, etc.

I also believe bitcoin will go down but not for long, and there will be times when bitcoin will rise again, this is like an economic wave that makes the market go up and down.
but from there some altcoins died and were replaced with new ones.
investors usually come back in when the market has started to improve.

Altcoins can also be your good investment, but since not everyone is ok to invest with make sure you analyze before you make a decision.
I don't like altcoins with too much hype even if they have no usage in this market, because after that hype you can expect for that token to slowly die and be nothing. Good altcoins can be more rewarding, there are times where you can get more profit with altcoins compare to Bitcoin. Perfect timing is also a key here, don't just buy altcoins know when to timing the market.

What i learnt for several years is people is waiting the good moment to buy it even on this bear market situation. Some people already aware that bitcoin halving will happen next year so maybe they hold their fund to invest in later on next bull run. People are getting smarter they know the timing of investing in cryptocurrency.

Indefinite future. A wise investor might just pick the very known cryptocurrency Bitcoin rather than taking the higher risk investing with altcoins. It's not like they are the worst choices out there but there's better assurance in Bitcoin than them. Money wise, safety wise.
I still have some choices when it comes to buying altcoin. BNB for example, based on its market chart, whenever a bull happens, it doesn't fail to ride it and it could swing higher if ever the top currencies are doing well. But recently created altcoins in my opinion are out of the picture. I have seen stagnant movements from them even if there's a wild market happening.

There is no doubt that money safety comes first. Looks like altcoins are still too risky and have not gained users' trust as Bitcoin has. I know that will never happen. BNB's success is a combination of many factors that can not be duplicated. The only thing that favors altcoins is the high return in the short term, with high risks though. As long as greed is still in human nature, all risky stuff will exist forever.

Bitcoin is volatile , no more no less meaning if you invest in this then you should know that things like what is  now may happen continuously , and also FUD? only newbie had been affected by that because if you truly understand this market then fud will never come to your investment bracket.
instead you will keep trusting when talking about the strongest and most used currency in crypto world.
with 471 billion capitalization? is this a kind of coin that you think fud will take down?

No problem! Currently I am just treading around Altcoins to just read around and not really planning to invest "just yet". Wishing luck to your project's progression!

I would look into your project when my vacant time allows me to do so. Smiley

Many people are eyeing for a bull run in that halving like they always do when Bitcoin halves as always. It's not like a really "smart" thing literally, and just a common scenario to happen.

I'd say more downs for altcoins if Bitcoin will continue to go downhill. Well, the hesitation might be because of the fact that when bear market hits altcoins are the one to be hurt the most. I don't have anything that holds me back from investing into altcoins since I do hold altcoins but I hold back on those who doesn't have strong fundamentals that will make it out for the next bull run.
I don't think there are any barriers to continuing to invest in Altcoins, I prefer to invest there than in Bitcoin. As for what makes me feel at home investing in Altcoins, there are tools because I only have limited capital, by investing in quality Altcoins, I will get clearer profits. as long as I invest in ALtcoin it seems there haven't been any problems

For me, investing in altcoins can be profitable even if it's a small profit.

In investing, capital and experience can make me choose which altcoin to choose, without seeing a decrease in the price of Bitcoin because some altcoins can increase in price even though the price of BTC is falling.

The risk because it has more risky than bitcoin meaning in bitcoin there is a high chance if you held it for a longer period of time of getting profit is high but on altcoins, there are instances of getting die, devs walking out and owners going to dump it. Most of the controversies are in altcoin which a lot of people got scammed into it but on the bright side, you can earn more profit on it if got lucky to find the most promising project that is why people are spending a lot of time finding those reliable project to invest into.

First, I want to underline that every altcoin has someone who controls it or has a dealer. whether it's big investors or developers or from their own team. I like to see Altcoin movements as if there are market games by certain parties. for me this is an obstacle too i think

I bought eth coins and bnb coins my friend said don't buy yet because the market is unstable there is a possibility that alcoins will go down because bitcoin goes down but I'm sure when I invest at that time the price of coins is going down and now I have made a profit even though it's small but I haven't sold it yet still holding it, I am very sure that I will get big profits.

It's not just that it's the bear market but only few altcoins are worthy to invest with your money but if you want to gamble you can try those new altcoins in the market but proceed at your own risk. It needs a vast understanding and thorough research to be able to tell which one is worth it but it's still risky because even if you did some research there are coins that are good at short term investment. You just have to decide when to sell or you will be holding a lot of coins in your wallet with low value but I'd rather sell them anyway to at least get some of my capital fund.

Where there are higher risks lies the bigger gains, nothing is holding me back from investing in altcoins, 80% of my crypto wallet consists of altcoins, I have different type of altcoins and my major target is GALA games, I keep buying every two weeks and j plan to hold up to 50,000 GALA tokens for the next bull market, I believe I will make a good amount of profits.

Altcoins are best for providing higher return but instead of its benefit it is also full of risk because the price fluctuates very quickly. I think that we should believe blindly on new arising coins but those altcoins which proved to be profitable are really good to select. Altcoins offer huge income but not all altcoins are true to select for investment as it is risky and will disappear your whole money which you invest in it. Carefully select altcoins and never do investment prior to making idea and getting knowledge about it.
