What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ?

I prefer Bitcoin. But when it comes to Altcoins I like BNB and CRO. ETH is still valuable but it has high GAS Fees. I don't see a great adaptation of ETH in the future.
But I still like Bitcoin as my investment asset.

actually bitcoin determines the price of altcoins, so if the bitcoin market is good many developers release their projects, unless the project is good and fundamentally strong, they don't really pay attention to the situation because they believe they can survive.

The price of Altcoins which tend to be cheaper than bitcoin is one of the factors that made me invest there. However, I prefer stable Altcoins. When the loss falls is not so great, but when bitcoin rises, they will quickly follow.

If you want to get more profit, I suggest you invest in your favorite altcoin, such as CRO, because in my opinion,
CRO can generate a higher ROI than Bitcoin, the bull market looks like it will make altcoins go crazy and much crazier than in 2021.

I am very diligent about investing in alt coins. Mostly due to numerous cases of rug pulls, ponzi schemes and all kind of other scams. I think there are still good ones out there but you have to do your own research and be extra careful.

this is the same reason why I haven't make any plan to hodl Bitcoin because of it is undervalued, and not reliable to hodl for a long time. But I think I know of few altcoins which I can buy  from my reserve savings later , but right now the money I have to invest is not for altcoins because I can't take the risk knowing fully  well how risky altcoins are. The past experience I have seen in altcoins is what is still hoding me to invest in altcoins.

The good thing about investing in Bitcoin only is you don't have any regret whenever the price will drop as soon as you put your money because at the end of the day, the price will continue to change and in the future judging by its history price chart, the price will always recover just trust the process and wait. As I am more of a long-term guy, I am more focused on investing into BTC and ETH. The rest of the altcoins are just for short and mid-term only.

What holds me back is the high risk part if I do not know how to do the right timing in buying and selling these short and mid-term altcoins.

Of course, they are the ones that would give us profits of x10, x100, x1000 etc., but the risk is just very high if not doing enough research and timing to sell it for profit.
