ETH can only stay king if developers don't sleep on future research to make it always better

With ETH turning centralized by the day, I doubt it will retain its position as the "King of Altcoins" for long. That's assuming the majority sides with decentralization. But considering that most people don't care about this, it's likely ETH will remain centralized forever. A pity, because this moves the project away from its original vision. If Ethereum (ETH) wants to be the "decentralized platform for apps", developers would need to put an end to centralization issues first.

As a last resort, we can always switch to another network that values decentralization and censorship-resistance. Ethereum Classic (ETC) seems to be a viable ETH alternative that puts decentralization on top of everything else. The crypto market is widely unpredictable, so expect the unexpected.

ETH is the king of alternative coins because only ETH persists, develops, and sets new all-time highs (ATH) during bull seasons, similar to BTC. Unlike other alternative coins, they are created, and after a bull season, they often vanish forever.

Ethereum is the king of altcoins no one can disagree with that. Ethereum is the rank one altcoin in the market. Most importantly it is the most trusted coin and a large community trusts this coin. As a result they invest here and its marketcap is higher than other altcoins. So we can undoubtedly call Ethereum the king of altcoins.

Market capitalization ranking seems to be what you're referring to but there are other altcoins out there too that has high market cap and has large community. The thing with Ethereum is they over promise sometimes that often delays are what they are labeled at. Well, there's lot of hype on staking part and that burning mechanism but what most wants was the lower fee it could set.

Yes It is obvious that ETH is the king of altcoins at the moment and maybe will be there for a very long time.
But, I don't know why Solana is so underated. Sol ecosystem has one if not the cheapest transaction fees and I still dont know why it is still very much undervalued.

ETH is a successful altcoin. Infact ETH is the best altcoin to invest in crypto currency market. Although there are other altcoin that has potential, but etherium still stand as the alternative to bitcoin. apart from bitcoin the second is etherium and it also has a huge market Cap. And it's also limited in supply, not like other altcoin with higher amount of coin with less value.

For now I will say yes because after Bitcoin Ethereum is the second coin which has the highest population and value in the cryptocurrency ecosystem market cap. This days that they are attacking Bitcoin from all the corners both from the USA government and Binance and also the Bitcoin  network congestion made people to invest in Ethereum very well. Five of my friends have already started the investment in Ethereum to diversify their investment so that if the Bitcoin network is congested and there is no way to make transaction they would use the alternative coins to make the transaction to pay their bills. Most of the new project tried to be multichain. So they are not avoiding eth they are trying to give their community more options because ETH has some limitations, like high transaction fees, which aren't suitable for many projects. These projects try to use L2 of ETH chain. Also you needs to understand that all these projects that offer smart contract services follow the footprints of ETH and its constant upgrades make it competitive in the market.

doesn't matter whats innovation the news project that is l1 is bringing, they'd still below ethereum because we all know they are inheriting their technology from ethereum and also we all know that ethereum could always have an upgrade that facilitates new technology into merging to their ecosystem.
thats why ethereum will more likely be always number 2 and will still at its position because the other coins aren't good enough to contend against ethereum.
moreover the fact that L2 appearing only adds demands towards ethereum because they are using ethereum as their primary coin for gas fee and many more, im sure ethereum demand will not decreasing anytime soon.

After the forth coming Bull run I'm very optimistic ETH will be capped above $200 billion and it has the foremost community and Blockchain amongst other altcoins, it has gained a good level of stability such that can be likened to Bitcoin so no doubts I think it will be fair enough to crown eth the king of alt coins.
