The main reason why I am doing all I can to become successful is to take good care of my family, I am one of the few people who don't give a F about what others think about me, I am not doing anything to impress anybody, I want to look normal and be able to spend good times with my family, love is all that matters in this world, there are some rich people that become lonely after acquiring all the good things of life, I don't want to have it all and live my life alone.

To make myself clear, this thread is not about complaint or confusion. Actually, I am more than fulfilled to chase my financial goals. This question only comes when I stop to think about the deep meaning of finance-free. Whether you are young or old, man or woman, money is what keeps you live and live well in the world. Being financial independent and sufficient is everyone's dream. However, have you thought about the losses in exchange for the material gains ? When you barely make ends meet, you'll bust yourself to make more money; when you actually make a lot of money, you'll find yourself in a position that is either stressful or boring. I wonder the purpose of making money can be easily distorted and sometimes we tend to lose ourselves in pursuit of money, instead of happiness. Just a fleeting thought, no big deal.

One thing that's being forgotten whether you're in a good situation and you're earning well and are already financially free or on the way to it is to become grateful. Someone who's not grateful for their situation won't really find happiness and find themselves very boring. But if you've been there, the hardships and suffering that you've gone through and you're finally blessed with a better situation. You don't forget the past that you've got and the experiences you've gained from it. And to those that are still on their way to this goal, still, be grateful because everything is going to fine and if you've been working hard and smart with whatever you do, you'll be there someday.

It's boring, having to keep buying something that can make our economy better, keep saving until the goal of financial freedom can be achieved, keep working when other people might prefer to take a vacation and spend their money to enjoy life, but are bored because they are focusing on achieving financial freedom is the price that must be paid before finally being able to relax and enjoy life, especially if we are born in a lower-middle class family that does not get many facilities to be able to achieve success, so everything is a choice and every choice there will be sacrifices.

There’s nothing new to it. All of our life’s endeavors are also twinned with hard work and sacrifices. If you fail to do that, you will never achieve your goals in life and you will never improve in life. That’s the reason why people keep on striving hard to earn and accumulate more money to be financially free, to save funds while you’re still capable to live a good retirement life, and to give the best performance at work to receive high compensation. Yes, those things are really boring, but life leave us with no choice but to work hard and strive more so we can live with our dreams in life and live life at its fullest.

That's the result of capitalism and it is not necessarily a bad thing. We never know when to say "enough". Everybody wants a bigger house, a faster car, more land, a better looking gf etc. When we accomplish all of those, we want more of them even though we don't really need them for our survival. The resources are limited but since the rich always want more of those resources for themselves, the poor will never get the chance to be rich during their life time.

In the end rich or poor we are all in the same pot, playing the same game. If you don't want to, you are free to leave the game. Can I hazz your stuff?

Most people aspire to financial freedom, but there are also people who hold their financial freedom and are still not happy. That is, even if we achieve financial freedom, this is still not a guarantee that we can say that we will be able to do well. But in terms of happiness, it is not.

Maybe the best thing to do is to pursue what we want to do in life to be happy, because the more we pursue the money, believe me, the more money will run away from us.

Making money has different effect on everyone. Also money can have toxic effects on people and its this toxicity that might result to a stressful and boring lifestyle after making lots of money. But to those with lesser or no toxicity has regards making and spending money they still leave their normal lives. There are lots of Billionaires who still leave happy and healthy with their financial status.

The aim of making money is to be financial independent but some sees it as a means of oppression and power tussle and it is  this mindset that brings about boring, toxic and stressful lifestyle. Financial freedom is a great thing to achieve, especially in an early age. However, a day would come that you will realize that it is not just about the money anymore, it's about the little things that makes you happy. It could be your family, friends, pets, or even your hobbies. For me, you don't need to have a lot of money to be happy, you just need enough or more than enough, not a lot, just to survive and put food in the table while giving a healthy and happy life for your love ones, especially to yourself.

Inner peace is important, because you can't have it when you're too busy building an empire all by yourself while in the shadows, there are too many enemies that won't let you sleep peacefully at night.

This life has a lot of things to care about, not only money, if you have money without other things but you also are not a successful person, we need to balance everything to have a fulfilling life.

But I'm seeing our world going in the wrong direction and being pragmatic, money being put first, and without money, you don't have anything else. Without money, you won't get the attention of your loved ones, you can't maintain family happiness, and without money, you won't have health. Money is taking center stage and your life is good or not depending on how much money you have.

Of course, many people get lost when they want to pursue financial freedom. I have also been tricked several times when I wanted to get rich instantly. In the past, I have participated in multi-level marketing from the drug system, but failed and the capital I spent did not return, then I have also tried several times. to invest in mutual funds and fail again, now I hope cryptocurrencies are things that can make me have financial freedom.

After fulfilling your goals and your life becomes boring that's on you, there are 100s of places around the world I want to visit before I leave this world behind, there are many sightseeing I want to see, nothing beats having the time to go on adventures and travel around the world, instead of making it all and sitting your ass down in your home, that's a boring life, with money you live shouldn't be boring, there are too many things you can do to make your day a good one.

If traveling and sightseeing make life to become meaningful, many billionaires or wealthy people wouldn't have committed suicide. Everybody is unique and has personal goals and aspirations. Some people just want to sit around at home around loved ones that's what they desire. Others want to party and hang out with friends in different clubs in town. While some people want to live a quiet life in rural areas.

The uncontrollable pursuit of financial freedom is not good because it can be disappointing and frustrating if it is not achieved. For me, financial freedom is your ability to provide all your needs without streets. I am not pursuing luxury or wealth, my main aim is to be able to earn enough to provide for the needs of my immediate and to a large extent my extended family. This is because the reason for the increase in crime and other immoral activities is the misconception that financial freedom is the ability to live in splendor.

It can be quite daunting when you start to get serious about financial freedom and there are generally two aspects that you need to work on. First is learning how all the main financial tools out in the world actually work, somebody is making profit off each of them, you need to figure how how to pay the least on it and gain the most back. This includes credit cards, mortgages, loans, the stock market and much more. It can take years to pick up all the knowledge you'll need and you should try to find lots of different books on these topics, especially the stock market. The stock market is where all the richest people put their money to work and have it return an income that will be way better than anything you can receive from banks in the form of interest.

I also pursue financial freedom. But I will never sacrifice my life for it. After all, the very reason why we dream of financial freedom is to have a happy life. However, the irony is that in our pursuit of financial freedom, we often sacrifice small moments that truly make us happy. In the process, the means become the end itself.

I used to work with the government, and I was compensated well. It's a job worth sticking to. But I proudly left it when it grew so toxic that going to work means suffering. Some are willing to stick to it, choose to be patient, and sacrifice for the money. Me, no thanks!

People should find a balance in life.... spend enough time with family and friends ...but occupy the rest of your time to get some quality fun time and some time to rest.

I think preparation needs to be done because the cost of living from day to day is increasingly erratic, but don't overdo it. Let ourselves manage money, not money that controls us, even though it's a necessity. One of my efforts is by participating in several projects that have been provided in this forum. Honestly, I myself always try to divide my time in finding additional living expenses even though I already have a steady job and get a monthly salary which I feel is enough for me and my family.

This is the sad truth about life and the pursuit of financial freedom. It is never ending. Even when you achieve it, you still feel it is not enough. In fact, the fear of being broke again or financially dependent on others will keep driving you to become a workaholic. And that is where the individual will start to sacrifice their health, their relationship, their family and friends just to get more money. And in the end, they discover that no matter how much money one has, it cannot buy back lost friendships, relationships, family, and love.

I feel that the world right now has defined the purpose of making money which has driven a lot of persons to their early grave. I believe that the purpose of making money is to be able to spend time with friends, family, to do some real good, live healthy and have a fulfilled life.

Being financially independent and having enough is everyone's dream, but we must realize that to get it, we must try even harder than others. We do lose time chasing our dreams but I think it's worth it because we realize that that's what we have to do and we need understanding from the people around us.

This sounds like forgetting about your own health, keep in mind that health is an important thing to be able to do anything. The pressure or burden we bear is a natural responsibility. But don't rule out that you did it all to survive. No need to talk about financial freedom and the like, just do what you can do. don't demand things beyond your means. For example, if you are only able to make $10 today then that is your portion for the day. And don't allow yourself to force your will to end in pain, stress and an inability to control yourself.

Money makes us live our dream lifestyle, but everyone has their own way of envisioning this money pursuit. Some people just want to live a comfortable lifestyle, nothing more, nothing less, but some people need a lot of money so they can live extravagantly. Apart from being born with a golden spoon—nobody made it on a plate of gold—it is really stressful at all times to make money because the truth is that you must work and devote the time that is meant for the work. Even gamblers take time to analyze their game before staking. Investors take their time to calculate before making a final decision. I'm not sure how you define "lost," but people don't just fold their hands and expect money to flow when they aren't working for it.
